Now reading: Chapter 50: Eating Fruit from Live Strong in the Wilderness, a Fantasy novel by Copper Teeth.

"You can only say you’re gaining flesh, it has nothing to do with being fat." Xu Yi grinned, Lu Ke used to be so thin, there was hardly any flesh on her.

"Xu Yi... do you think all cancer patients who co to this world can recover without dicine?" Lu Ke glanced at Xu Yi, sincerely hoping it was true.

"It’s possible, after all, cancer is caused by so cells growing uncontrollably. Maybe this world can suppress those cells and make them behave." Xu Yi nodded and continued the topic raised by Lu Ke.

Is this world normal?

Xu Yi couldn’t say for sure, but he felt it was sowhat extraordinary.

Every kind of food is especially delicious, as if a seasoning had been added to itself.

However, if you insist on saying it’s extraordinary, there’s nothing.

At least the animals that appear are relatively normal, not much different from those on Earth.

Anyway, Lu Ke shows no signs of illness.

She is completely different now than when she was in the hospital.

"Cancer, Loli Ke actually said her illness was cancer?"

"Such a lovely girl, how could heaven be so cruel!"

"Didn’t Loli Ke say she has already recovered without dicine, so now she’s a normal person, right?"

"If it were really like what Loli Ke said, that would be gospel for all cancer patients!"

"This is too fantastical, I remain skeptical."

"I also doubt it. If cancer were this easy to cure, it wouldn’t be a terminal illness."

"Theoretically it doesn’t hold water, but I earnestly hope what Loli Ke said is true."

"From a traditional Chinese dicine perspective, Loli Ke is now very healthy, her complexion rosy and glowing."

"No matter what, I hope Loli Ke’s illness is healed."

"Praying."

Everyone hoped there wouldn’t be any health issues with Lu Ke, they all prayed she truly recovered by herself.

If Lu Ke knew, she would definitely be very touched.

After all, she is an emotional person.

Regarding the disease, they didn’t discuss much.

After lunch, Xu Yi rested for half an hour and then continued digging traps.

By three thirty in the afternoon, Xu Yi completed the trap task.

"Finished?"

Lu Ke saw Xu Yi co in and happily asked.

"Yeah, it’s a temporary wrap-up, let’s rest for a while and have so water." Xu Yi nodded lightly, feeling today was easier compared to yesterday.

Lu Ke nodded, continuing to focus on her task at hand. She beca more proficient, and her speed was increasing.

After drinking half a pot of water, Xu Yi sat down to rest for a while.

After resting for about ten minutes, Xu Yi took seven doorposts under the eaves.

Holding his knife, he began to dig holes on the doorposts.

Dig a hole both on top and below, then put a stick through the middle to form a door. Later, there will be no need to pull out one by one, and the door can be taken out as a whole.

"Now it’s much safer, you can’t dig it out even if you wanted to." Xu Yi glanced contentedly at the new fence door laid over the trap and walked out.

"I’ll go chop so small trees, you close the door first." Xu Yi said to Lu Ke, even though it was a bit troubleso, for safety it’s better not to leave another path.

"Alright, be careful." Lu Ke put down her work and went to the door.

Xu Yi brought only an eighteen-cut, nothing else.

Cautiously entering the forest, Xu Yi began selecting small trees of suitable size. If too thick, it’s hard to sharpen them.

Suitable wood was relatively abundant, and Xu Yi quickly chopped over a dozen. Then, he used a section of vine to bind the small trees together.

"Oh, that red thing... fruit?" Xu Yi saw sothing red in the distance, resembling fruit.

Without another word, Xu Yi walked over there.

"Lychees?"

"There are actually lychees here?"

Xu Yi was instantly delighted, quickly climbing up.

Peeling off the red skin revealed the crystal-clear flesh inside.

"So fragrant." The lychee aroma imdiately enveloped Xu Yi.

Putting the flesh into his mouth, a gentle bite burst it open, the juice scattered in his mouth, hitting his taste buds.

Sweet.

Very sweet.

Xu Yi’s mood imdiately lifted.

Humans are creatures who love sweetness. Eating sweet food induces a sense of joy.

Xu Yi picked seven or eight consecutively, and all went into his mouth.

Xu Yi knew lychees shouldn’t be eaten excessively; eating too many on an empty stomach can cause hypoglycemia, and sotis it can be fatal.

After eating seven or eight, Xu Yi stopped.

He picked a large bunch, then ca down from the tree.

He believed Lu Ke would like these lychees even more.

Carrying the lychees, Xu Yi began returning. On the way back, he made so marks.

Returning to the chopping place, Xu Yi picked up the small tree trunks and quickly walked back.

"Lu Ke, open the door quickly." Xu Yi shouted from afar.

Arriving at the trap pit, Xu Yi tossed the bundle of trunks into the pit.

Lu Ke happened to put down the fence door.

Xu Yi walked over, like presenting a treasure, took out the bunch of lychees hidden behind his back.

"Ta-da, look, what is this!"

"Oh, lychees, where did you pick lychees, there are lychees on this island!" The girl’s eyes sparkled, she didn’t expect Xu Yi to return from chopping trees with a big bunch of lychees.

"Try them, really sweet and fragrant, picked in the woods over there, there’s a lot more." Xu Yi pointed out the direction.

Lu Ke picked one, peeled it, and put it in her mouth.

Her eyes imdiately turned into crescents, with a joyous smile on her face.

"So sweet, the flesh is so full. Didn’t expect we could eat lychees, so happy." Lu Ke happily said, picked another, peeled it, and put it in her mouth.

"You should eat too." Lu Ke knew Xu Yi surely didn’t eat like this, having brought them back for her.

"I already ate so on the tree."

Lu Ke ate seven or eight consecutively before stopping.

"Save so for after dinner, I should start cooking dinner, do you want to lie down for a while?" Due to her illness, Lu Ke always exercised restraint with food.

Xu Yi shook his head, saying, "No need, way better than yesterday, sitting and resting will do." Things like sharpening barbs could be done in the evening.

Lu Ke nodded, took two pieces of dried fish, and began cooking dinner.

"Xu Yi, do you think there are coconut trees on the island?" After tasting lychees, Lu Ke started thinking of other fruits. Coconut milk is sothing she quite likes as a drink, and it’s also rich in nutrition.

"There should be, next ti we’ll have to go to the beach to look." Xu Yi thought there might not just be coconut trees, but other fruits too.
