Yun Qinglian's mind went blank because even Qin Yi's face showed a look of fear, how could she not be scared?
She pitifully used her eyes to inquire Qin Yi about what was behind her.
However, she did not get a response from Qin Yi.
Suddenly, Qin Yi made his move.
"Hiss..." Yun Qinglian felt pain as her delicate face crinkled up because a strand of her hair was suddenly pulled out by Qin Yi.
Qin Yi held a strand of her black hair and muttered, "Huh, I pulled the wrong one."
Yun Qinglian looked at him wide-eyed, not knowing what Qin Yi was up to.
Qin Yi discarded that strand of black hair and looked at her apologetically, "I saw a white hair on your head, how could a beauty like you have white hair?"
Yun Qinglian: "..."
She glanced back, and there was nothing behind her.
"Qin Yi, you scared just because you saw a white hair?"
"Yeah, what else? Isn't it scary for a beauty like you to have white hair?"
Yun Qinglian almost spat blood in anger.
"Qin Yi, can you be any more boring?"
"Sure, want to see?"
Yun Qinglian gripped her fists tightly, looking like she was about to rush forward and punch Qin Yi.
Undeterred by the potential danger, Qin Yi laughed and said, "I pulled the wrong one, the white hair is still there, let pull it out for you."
Yun Qinglian's eyes were ablaze, her teeth gritted with visible marks from frustration and anger.
"Qin Yi, it's a miracle you've lived this long."
Qin Yi suddenly narrowed his eyes slightly, his gaze as sharp as a knife, "Don't move."
Yun Qinglian paused, "Don't try to scare ."
"Thud!"
A small stone fell right at Yun Qinglian's feet.
Instinctively, Yun Qinglian looked up, and ended up facing a terrifying set of interlocking fangs and a bloodthirsty mouth coming her way, its foul stench almost making her vomit.
Yun Qinglian was scared out of her wits; the gaping mouth was larger than her entire body.
At the critical mont, she suddenly felt light, and her whole body was pulled away by a purple light, landing beside Qin Yi.
Once she was near Qin Yi, Yun Qinglian's heart cald down.
Qin Yi always managed to impart a sense of safety.
She looked up at the fierce beast, its exterior similar to the flying armored centipede they encountered before, but its armor was covered in red runes, making it look even more nacing.
Iron Armor Fiery Centipede.
"I almost died of fright, why didn't you tell earlier?" Yun Qinglian complained softly.
Qin Yi: "..."
"I did tell you not to move."
"You want not to move so that the Iron Armor Fiery Centipede can aim better?"
Qin Yi: "..."
Qin Yi looked at this gigantic behemoth; it had crawled down from the mountain on both sides, and that such a massive creature could move without making a sound was truly terrifying.
The Iron Armor Fiery Centipede could move silently thanks to its countless legs that were as sharp as blades, easily penetrating stone walls like cutting tofu, making almost no sound. Plus, this was a canyon, with gusts of eerie wind and ghostly howls, completely masking the centipede's slight movents.
It climbed down from the rock wall, fixing its crimson eyes on Qin Yi and Yun Qinglian, seemingly pondering why its prey would try to evade this ti.
"The antidote is right in front, hurry up and get it." Qin Yi said.
Yun Qinglian stared at Qin Yi bewildered, then pointed at herself in disbelief.
Qin Yi looked at her, "Yes, you're the one who's sick, not ."
"You're sending to my death. I always thought we were friends, how could you betray like this?" Yun Qinglian said indignantly. This Iron Armor Fiery Centipede was far beyond her ability to handle, going to it would be like volunteering as food.
Qin Yi chuckled, "Don't worry, as long as I'm here, I won't let you die. I'm not asking you to kill it, but to cultivate your courage. Most Qi Refiners lose their montum when they see a powerful enemy, lacking even the courage to act, and thus lose the will to escape, leaving them to wait for death.
Rember, regardless of the enemy you face, you must have the courage to fight to the death. Because fighting to the death offers a slim chance of survival, whereas surrender ensures certain death. Of course, I'm not urging you to fight recklessly; before you act, you must think about how to escape."
Yun Qinglian thought for a mont, no more than three seconds, then drew her soft sword at her waist, the sword instantly straightening, transforming into a sharp weapon.
"Then I'm going."
Without any further words, Yun Qinglian's silhouette flashed as she charged toward the Iron Armor Fiery Centipede.
"Swish!"
She hadn't reached it yet, but her Sword Qi arrived first.
"Clang!"
Sparks flew, the Sword Qi slashed onto the centipede's blade-like leg, emitting an ear-piercing tallic ringing sound.
Though Yun Qinglian was using a Spiritual Artifact, this slash didn't sever the centipede's leg, but it did leave a wound.
The Iron Armor Fiery Centipede was enraged; in its past feedings, the prey never dared to move, yet this ti its prey dared to resist. Empowered with Spiritual Wisdom, it felt its dignity had been challenged.
"Roar!"
The Iron Armor Fiery Centipede roared angrily, causing the surrounding mountains to tremble, and promptly spewed out a poison arrow.
Yun Qinglian was well aware of the Iron Armor Fiery Centipede's habits, as she had researched it thoroughly for her dicine and knew its green liquid was a dreadful poison, capable of corroding steel.
She shifted horizontally several ters, and the poison arrow hit the ground, instantly releasing white smoke with a sizzling sound as a large pit was corroded into the ground.
Qin Yi nodded in satisfaction, appreciating Yun Qinglian's courage. Moreover, she was very decisive, not wasting words, and charged forward with her sword.
Iron Armor Fiery Centipede witnessed Yun Qinglian's dodge and appeared even more agitated. To it, humans were rely food, barely enough to fill its teeth; it was here for a snack. Yet, this prey dared to resist, it was unforgivable.
"Roar!"
It opened its bloodthirsty mouth, its foul stench nauseating, as rolling green mist spread out, obscuring the sky and billowing towards Yun Qinglian.
This was a toxic mist; unless one's Cultivation was extrely high, a typical Qi Refiner would be weakened and lose combat ability upon inhaling.
Yun Qinglian panicked because she couldn't dodge the toxic mist.
But she didn't surrender; while her body shot backward, she unleashed a palm from a distance, sending a fierce Palm Wind howling out.
However, the toxic mist churned and remained dense, the Palm Wind unable to disperse it.
Yun Qinglian suddenly elevated, bypassing the mist from above, diving down with her sword like a Poison Snake spitting its tongue, sending a piercing whistle through the air aid at the centipede's head.
"Clang!"
Sparks flew upon impact; the Iron Armor Fiery Centipede's defensive power was too formidable; even though her sword was a Spiritual Artifact, it couldn't penetrate.
Suddenly, the centipede began to shake all over, its heavy armor grating like steel friction, emitting a piercing sound wave.
"Ah!" Yun Qinglian clutched her ears in pain, the soundwave stabbing at her spirit, causing dizziness and disorientation.
