After spending three days at the Jinhai Resort, everyone finally left.

As Lin Hongzhuang put it, staying any longer would cause sore eyes. Ever since the day they got married, Qin Yi and Xia Yanbing had been living a shaless and unrestrained life.

Of course, this kind of life would continue for a long ti.

The day after they returned ho, Xia Yanbing was clamoring to go to work.

Qin Yi agreed at the ti, but that night they rode the horse so hard that Xia Yanbing couldn’t get out of bed the next day, so work was put on hold.

"Wife, want sothing to eat?"

Qin Yi brought in a few small dishes.

Xia Yanbing buried her head under the covers and murmured, "Bad man..."

Qin Yi laughed, "Didn’t you say your husband is amazing? If I don’t put in the effort, it would betray your praise."

Such a shaless life continued for about seven days before Qin Yi let Xia Yanbing go to work.

After that, Qin Yi beca a man of leisure, either cultivating or driving to pick up Qin Wan’er from school and Xia Yanbing from work.

That day, Qin Yi received a call from Lan Jiaojiao, and they arranged to et at Dio Coffee.

Qin Yi noticed sothing very strange: eting with Lan Jiaojiao was always at Dio Coffee, with Xia Yanbing it was Bao Leina, and with Liu Zhanyuan and the others it was Yunmiao Teahouse. It seed to beco a rule.

Lan Jiaojiao hadn’t changed at all. Dressed in white, she gave the impression that everything below her neck was legs, still as beautiful as ever.

If a leg-lover t Lan Jiaojiao, they’d definitely be unable to move.

When Lan Jiaojiao saw Qin Yi, her eyes had a hint of mischief, "Master Qin, you were so busy at your wedding that you disappeared and barely exchanged a few words."

Qin Yi was inevitably embarrassed, rubbing his nose; those few days he and Xia Yanbing hardly left the room.

Qin Yi picked up the coffee in front of him and took a sip. It was his favorite Irish Coffee.

"Sothing on your mind?"

Lan Jiaojiao raised an eyebrow, "Can’t I just et you for a chat? It’s been days, isn’t it ti for a break? You’re strong and healthy, but Xia Yanbing might not be able to keep up?"

Qin Yi was speechless, "Stop joking, she’s already gone back to work."

Lan Jiaojiao teased, "Young man, you need to know your limits! Need to prescribe two sets of herbal supplents for you?"

Qin Yi: "..."

"Do you think I need supplents?"

Lan Jiaojiao laughed, "You never know, just because your cultivation is good doesn’t an other areas are!"

Qin Yi: "..."

"You didn’t call today just to discuss these things, did you?"

Lan Jiaojiao rolled her eyes, "Of course not, just checking in on you! I don’t make a habit of prying into others’ privacy, plus n regard such things as more important than life itself. If you were struggling, you wouldn’t tell anyway."

Qin Yi was both laughing and crying.

Lan Jiaojiao sipped her juice, then shifted the conversation, "I called you to say goodbye."

"Hmm?" Qin Yi was surprised, "Where are you going?"

"I’m leaving Yinfeng City for a while. My grandfather’s old friend discovered an ancient ruin and invited my grandfather to explore it together, and I’m going along."

Qin Yi nodded slightly, "Oh, tomb raiding, huh?"

Lan Jiaojiao rolled her eyes, saying irritably, "It’s an ancient ruin from so unknown era, with rumors of several kinds of great dicine inside. I want to try my luck."

"With your level of cultivation, won’t you just cause trouble?"

"Master Qin, not everyone is as freakishly talented as you, with deep and unfathomable cultivation at a young age. I’ve been cultivating Qi for so ti, but I’ve always felt on the verge of a breakthrough, so I plan to see if I can find a plant or two of great dicine to help ."

Qin Yi grinned; why did ’Master Qin’ sound like ’Master Xin’?

Qin Yi said, "Let know if you need help."

Lan Jiaojiao smiled, "Thanks, having your offer is enough for ! However, this ti I’m going with my grandfather’s good friend, and his cultivation is quite impressive, so there shouldn’t be any problems."

Qin Yi nodded slightly, "Where is this ancient ruin?"

"I heard it’s in the Dragon Mountain Range of the Northwest, but I’m not sure of the exact location yet."

Lan Jiaojiao suddenly looked at Qin Yi suspiciously, "Why are you asking? Planning to rob us?"

Qin Yi: "..."

"What do you take for? Am I that kind of person?"

Actually, Qin Yi was indeed tempted. Ancient ruins are elusive, and any opportunity to explore one might bring great rewards if luck is on your side.

Lan Jiaojiao sneered, "Serves you right. Given your money-grubbing nature, I have every reason to doubt your motives."

Qin Yi rolled his eyes, suddenly smiling, "Lan Jiaojiao, don’t forget us if you get rich!"

"See, I knew you’re the type who only fires the gun when you see the rabbit. Don’t worry, if there’s anything useful to you, I’ll bring it back."

Qin Yi laughed, "True friend."

"Tch..."

"By the way, how long will you be gone?"

Lan Jiaojiao said, "It’s hard to say, half a month if all goes well, but if it’s troubleso, it could take longer. After all, ancient ruins aren’t like ordinary tombs, who knows what we’ll encounter?"

Qin Yi picked up his coffee, "Then I’ll toast to your safe journey and successful exploits with coffee standing in for wine."

Lan Jiaojiao raised her juice to clink glasses with Qin Yi, laughing, "First ti I’ve heard you say sothing so proper."

Qin Yi: "..."

Does that an he’s usually improper?

After chatting for a while, they each went their separate ways.

Qin Yi drove to the Xia Group.

Just as he was about to enter, he ran into soone.

The other person was dressed in a slick suit, hair combed with a shiny part, wearing a smug expression.

Qin Yi’s expression subtly changed.

But when the person saw Qin Yi, he clearly hesitated, and then his eyes were full of strong disgust.

"Qin Yi, what are you doing here?"

Qin Yi frowned slightly, recognizing this person as his uncle’s son, Qin Liangliang, his cousin.

Unexpectedly, even after years apart, Qin Liangliang still had that annoying tone; what business of his was it why Qin Yi was here?

Seeing Qin Yi not speaking, Qin Liangliang looked him up and down with contempt, a flash of jealousy in his eyes.

Though they were cousins, their appearances were worlds apart. Qin Yi was six feet tall and handso, whereas Qin Liangliang was five-seven, with a sharp chin and small eyes.

He had always been jealous of Qin Yi, but when Qin Yi beca disabled, instead of feeling any concern, he felt pure pleasure, as if justice had been served.

"Your leg’s healed?"

Qin Liangliang frowned, as if Qin Yi’s recovery displeased him.

Qin Yi’s gaze was indifferent. He would never forget how his uncle’s family treated him when he beca disabled. He could tolerate mistreatnt from outsiders but couldn’t accept bullying from his own kin.

After his parents passed away, with him and Wan’er being so young, his uncle beca his only guardian. Of course, the compensations from his parents’ accident went to his uncle.

Qin Yi never cared about that money and was filled with gratitude for his uncle’s care for him and Wan’er.

However, unexpected events struck; when he beca disabled, everything changed, and it was only then he realized how terrifying human nature could be?
