Liu Chengqing slowly shook his head.

Qin Yi was right, when soone in a high position suddenly starts doing low-level work, resistance is bound to happen.

Even if these people were forcibly gathered, it would probably be a ss at that point!

However, Qin Yi’s eyes suddenly lit up.

"I know what to do now?"

Liu Chengqing asked in surprise, "You have an idea?"

Qin Yi slowly nodded.

"I need you to do sothing for !"

"What is it? Just tell ," Liu Chengqing asked.

"Do you know about bounty hunters?"

"Of course I do! Why are you asking about this?" After Liu Chengqing said this, he suddenly paused and then widened his eyes, "You wouldn’t possibly be..."

"Exactly!" Qin Yi smiled and said, "When I was in Qianlu City, I encountered several bounty hunters; their cultivation was impressive."

Liu Chengqing, however, shook his head repeatedly, "This idea of yours is truly bold. But I still want to say, the possibility of this happening is almost zero."

"Why?" Qin Yi asked.

Liu Chengqing replied, "You might not be aware, but bounty hunters are a bunch of eccentric lunatics. They have eyes only for profit. They have always been at odds with the Guardians, like water and fire, never coexisting."

"That’s exactly what I want, water and fire, never coexisting." Qin Yi’s lips curled slightly, his smile sowhat sly.

"Are you really planning to find bounty hunters?"

Qin Yi nodded, "So Guardian Families have long lost their original intentions. It’s not even an exaggeration to say they’re holding a position without doing their job. They see themselves as the masters of a city, looking down from on high."

"Do you know the catfish effect? It’s high ti they developed so crisis awareness! If they really consider themselves as the rulers of the city, taking a lofty stance, I don’t mind having soone replace them."

Liu Chengqing said worriedly, "Doing this might provoke the dissatisfaction of the Guardian Families."

"So what if they’re dissatisfied? After enjoying the high life for so long, it’s ti they contributed." Qin Yi paused, his expression turning serious as he said, "You need to quickly help find out who the leader of the bounty hunters is; I need to et him."

Liu Chengqing, with worry in his brows, still nodded, "Alright, I’ll investigate as soon as possible!"

Qin Yi said, "Yun ngyao, I will settle this matter quickly, thank you for your suggestion!"

"This is just my duty! If anyone should be thanking, it should be thanking you. I didn’t expect you to be quite honorable despite being a bit flirtatious, actually concerned about the country and the people."

Qin Yi felt sowhat embarrassed. If Yun ngyao knew it was him who opened the passage between Earth and the Primordial World, would she take a knife to him?

Yun ngyao said, "Once this matter is settled, I have to return to the Primordial World. The source of this issue resides there. Only by guarding the Heavenly Defect can your world truly be safe."

Qin Yi’s eyes narrowed slightly, flashing a cunning light.

"Is there anything else? If not, I’ll take my leave!" Qin Yi said.

"Leave your phone number with , so I can contact you anyti."

Qin Yi was surprised, "You actually know how to use a phone?"

"This childish thing is easy to operate once you have it in hand. Is there anything harder than cultivation?"

Qin Yi was speechless, well, that’s true.

After leaving his number with Yun ngyao, Qin Yi laughed and said, "You really don’t plan to invite to see your room?"

Yun ngyao’s pretty face darkened, "You’re blind, what could you see even if you went in?"

"Is it really not a nest you live in?" Qin Yi murmured.

Yun ngyao’s pretty face turned fierce, gritting her teeth.

"Ahem..." Qin Yi could clearly feel Yun ngyao’s anger, and laughed dryly, "Then we’ll be off! No need to see us out!"

Yun ngyao snorted, do you really think I’d see you off?

"Stop!"

Qin Yi and Liu Chengqing froze mid-step, turning back to face Yun ngyao.

"Miss Yun, is there anything else?" Liu Chengqing asked.

Yun ngyao looked at Qin Yi, warning, "Qin Yi, I must tell you! If you dare sneak into my room, I’ll fight you to the death."

Qin Yi’s expression turned odd.

"Are you saying this to remind to sneak into your room? I wouldn’t have thought about it if you didn’t ntion it."

"Would you dare?"

Qin Yi’s face turned serious, "Yun ngyao, what sort of person do you think I am?"

"A lecher!" Yun ngyao said rcilessly.

Qin Yi’s mouth twitched a few tis, "Your uncle! Little master here has done everything in this life but be a roof-hopping thief. My wife is much prettier than you, your looks are way too safe compared to her."

With that said, Qin Yi turned and walked away. He was afraid he wouldn’t be able to resist strangling this pretentious woman if he stayed any longer.

As he turned away elegantly, he tripped on a stone, stumbled a few steps, then powered his steps, flipping gracefully in mid-air before landing sturdily.

That was close, at least he didn’t embarrass himself in front of her. Otherwise, he wouldn’t know how she’d mock him.

"Idiot!" Yun ngyao comnted disdainfully.

Qin Yi’s eye muscle twitched a few tis, pretending not to hear it.

...

On the way back.

Qin Yi suddenly said, "Help keep an eye on this woman."

"Huh?" Liu Chengqing looked puzzled and asked, "Why?"

Seeing the strange smile on Qin Yi’s face, Liu Chengqing’s expression turned odd, "You wouldn’t possibly have so sort of ideas about this woman?"

"Bullshit!" Qin Yi smiled and cursed.

Then he continued, "In any case, we absolutely cannot let this woman return to the Primordial World."

"Why?"

Qin Yi replied gravely, "If she returns to the Primordial World, wouldn’t the creatures there realize there’s no danger behind the Heavenly Defect; they’d surely co exploring, and it could very well turn into a horrifying calamity."

Liu Chengqing’s expression shifted slightly, realizing Qin Yi’s reasoning was sound. He admired Qin Yi with a glance; this line of thinking is indeed ticulous, sothing he hadn’t considered.

"But Miss Yun is trying her best to help us, won’t what we’re doing be too, you know, not nice?"

"You an too underhanded, right?"

Liu Chengqing chuckled awkwardly.

Qin Yi said indifferently, "It doesn’t matter, let bear such infamy! This is all for humanity; doing so is a necessary evil."

"Qin Yi, I finally understand why the Azure Dragon Guardian God chose you as its successor. Others might not comprehend you, but I dare say you have a heart of pure intentions."

Qin Yi nearly choked on his own saliva.

A heart of pure intentions?

If Liu Chengqing knew he brought about this disaster, would he crash into a tree with him and perish together?

"Qin Yi, Miss Yun is a good person! She’s helped us a lot. No matter what you plan to do, I beg you not to harm her life."

Qin Yi chuckled lightly, "Rest assured! I can still discern right from wrong. I only plan to keep her on Earth, find her a husband eventually, let her settle into family life and live honestly."

Liu Chengqing asked curiously, "Qin Yi, do you think if humans and the Feather Clan have children, they’d have wings?"

"Uh... how would I know?" Qin Yi suddenly wore a mischievous grin, "How about I find a woman from the Feather Clan for you to try if there’s a chance?"

Liu Chengqing blushed, "At my age, you’re still teasing ."
