In the pavilion at the mountain top, three elders sat around a stone table, with chess pieces placed on it. Two young n stood straight beside them, showing respect and humility.

Xuanwu and White Tiger exchanged a glance, helplessly reminding Azure Dragon, who was sitting opposite them staring blankly at the chess pieces.
Azure Dragon ca back to his senses, looked at the chessboard, and then threw a handful of white pieces onto it. The jade chess pieces clattered around, with a few even falling to the ground.
Xuanwu and White Tiger glanced at each other again and sighed helplessly.
Since Qin Yi’s fall, Azure Dragon seed possessed, neglecting his appearance, and lacking interest in anything. These chess pieces, once his favorite, he now discarded like old shoes.
The two young n bent down to pick up the pieces from the ground, gently placing them back on the board, then stood respectfully in their original places.
"Old Dragon, Qin Yi’s fall is not your fault, so why tornt yourself like this?" White Tiger said, frowning.
"Not my fault? Fine, even if it’s not my fault, it concerns all living beings." Azure Dragon spoke with anger, unclear at whom he was angry.
Xuanwu spoke with a trace of helplessness: "None of us wanted to see Qin Yi’s fall. But since it has happened, getting angry is useless; we might as well try to think of another way?"
"Think of another way? What way?" Azure Dragon looked at the two young n beside him, his expression sowhat mocking, "Rely on these two incompetent disciples? Don’t daydream; they’re not cut out for it; not everyone has the ability to save all beings."
The mouths of the two young n standing straight twitched several tis, unable to remain calm when so blatantly dismissed.
"Old Dragon, let’s stick to the matter; stop lashing out at people, will you? Have our disciples provoked you in so way to deserve such a blow to their spirits?" White Tiger asked angrily.
Azure Dragon waved his hand, showing disdain: "If you don’t want to hear it, get lost. I never invited you to my Azure Dragon Mountain."
Xuanwu and White Tiger were infuriated, their faces filled with resentnt.
Xuanwu said: "Old Dragon, we’ve been friends for so many years, do you not have a shred of conscience left? Are you not aware why we’ve been sticking around your Azure Dragon Mountain? Don’t bite the hand that feeds you."
Their refusal to leave Azure Dragon Mountain was due to worries that Azure Dragon might use the Heavenly chanism Evolution Technique once again. The use of this divine skill cos at the cost of cultivation and life force, and each use exponentially increases the price. If Azure Dragon used it again, it’s feared he might not survive.

"Guardian God?" Azure Dragon’s face was filled with mockery, "The world reveres us as gods, but are we truly gods? We’re just slightly more powerful, having lived a bit longer. If we were truly gods, how could Vermilion Bird just watch Qin Yi fall?"
Xuanwu and White Tiger fell silent, even though Azure Dragon didn’t say it explicitly. He still harbored resentnt towards Vermilion Bird.
"Old Dragon, I really don’t think you can bla Vermilion Bird for this..."
"Did I say it was her fault? Did I ever say that? Which ear of yours heard it? It’s not her fault, it’s mine. I shouldn’t have let you old folks know about Qin Yi’s existence; then he wouldn’t have died." Xuanwu was interrupted by Azure Dragon’s roar before he could finish.
Xuanwu’s face darkened: "Why are you shouting at ? Qin Yi’s fall pains too, but the deceased are gone, and the living must look forward instead of barking here like a mad dog."
"Look forward? Easy for you to say. I see no future, only Earth becoming Hell, the landscape scarred, and all life dead." Azure Dragon roared.
White Tiger shouted: "Even if such a situation occurs, what’s the point of whining here?"
"What then? This is my Azure Dragon Mountain; can’t I complain a bit here?"
"Is this just a bit? You’re nagging like a woman endlessly. I’m enduring you for the sake of our long history; otherwise, I would have slapped you long ago."
Azure Dragon sneered disdainfully: "Slap ? Even if I lost decades of cultivation, you sick cat wouldn’t dare get cocky before ."
White Tiger was furious: "You old serpent, you want to fight?"
"Co, let’s see what skills you’ve gained over the years to act mighty in front of ."
Xuanwu rubbed his temples in headache: "You two, adding up to nearly three hundred years, can you stop being so childish?"
"You old turtle, stay out of this; enough of your chattering." Azure Dragon yelled.
Xuanwu’s face turned black: "White Tiger calling you an old serpent was a complint; you’re just a lizard."
"And you’re a thousand-year turtle. Do you also want to fight?"
Xuanwu stood up abruptly, "Fine, let’s fight, who’s scared of whom?"
"Let teach this old serpent first." White Tiger said angrily.
Azure Dragon sneered coldly: "You two co at together; I’ll teach you how to behave in a minute."
Three n rolled up their sleeves, ready to start fighting.
The two young n beside them wanted to stop them but didn’t dare, their faces full of helplessness.
Just as the three were about to make a move, they suddenly stopped simultaneously and looked in one direction.
A hundred ters away, stood a large tree that three n could wrap their arms around, and on its trunk stood a man, dressed in black, with a bizarre golden mask. No one knew when he appeared.
Azure Dragon, Xuanwu, and White Tiger exchanged a look, eyes narrowed slightly. To approach within a hundred ters of them and be discovered only then, this person was not simple.
The two youths were equally shocked, unaware of when this masked person had appeared.
Most importantly, this was Azure Dragon Mountain, surrounded by the Dragon Protection Wall spanning hundreds of miles. Outsiders seldom entered, yet this person managed to, a testimony to how fearso he was.
"Aren’t you three old fellows about to fight? Go ahead, pretend I don’t exist." The masked man’s voice was ancient and full of mockery.
