Qin Yi glanced around, the corner of his mouth slightly raised, and said coldly, "Could it be that after hosting so many sky wagers here, you haven’t noticed that the terrain here resembles a natural tomb?"
Those present instinctively looked around. What Qin Yi said had never occurred to them. This place was a basin, surrounded by cliffs, where even birds struggle to land, indeed like a natural tomb. With Qin Yi’s previous words in mind, everyone felt a chill run from their tailbone straight to the back of their skull.
However, Mo Buwen sneered disdainfully.
Qin Yi looked at him indifferently.
Mo Buwen mocked, "Qin Yi, such words might scare others, but saying sothing like ’kill everyone’ in front of is too childish. Everyone here holds a prominent position. If you kill everyone here, it won’t just be a personal vendetta, it will be an international dispute."
Qin Yi looked at Mo Buwen with a half-smile, "Do you think you’re smart? Let ask, would Longxia, a vast nation, fear international disputes? Fear the clamor of these tiny countries? In terms of national power, we are not inferior to any country. In terms of Qi Refinent, we surpass all nations. If I killed all of you, who would dare protest?"
"Qin Yi, I admit you’re skilled at bluffing. Fine, let’s not talk about international disputes. Do you even understand the forces behind the people present here? Which one of them doesn’t co from a prestigious family? Have you ever considered the depths of their backing? I dare say, the force behind any one of us isn’t sothing you can afford to offend."
Qin Yi sneered, walked to the long table in front of Inokuchi Mok, and as he was about to take the treasures placed on top, he suddenly paused, then seed to recall sothing. He lifted his head to look at the grim-faced, cautious-eyed Inokuchi Mok: "Aren’t you going to stop ?"
Inokuchi Mok’s face twisted frighteningly, his hand gripping the scimitar at his waist with fingers turning white, repeatedly wanting to unsheathe the blade. Yet in vain... In the end, he still didn’t have the courage to make a move, truly afraid of ending up like Sha Wuqiu, whose face was smashed like a peach tree in bloom, losing all face.
"Heh, should I say you’re sensible, or just as timid as a mouse?" Qin Yi smirked with mockery, disdainfully. For the tiny country of Langoku, Qin Yi always felt disgust, sothing from the depths of his being.
Inokuchi Mok almost squeezed water out of the hilt, yet still lacked the courage to strike.
Qin Yi mocked, "Honestly, you tiny countries, trace back in history, were all once vassal states of Longxia. We were the lord, you were the ministers, offering tributes every year. Now, having stolen a glimpse at a few branches and leaves of our Longxia’s skills, you think you can contend against your forr masters. Tell , who gave you that courage?"
"Do you know why I never asked your na? Because to , what you worthless lot are called is utterly irrelevant. But rember, a dog will always be a dog. If it bites its master, even a forr master, it must be prepared to die."
Inokuchi Mok’s mouth kept twitching, his eyes poisonous, gripping the hilt tightly, then releasing, then gripping again, cycling countless tis.
Qin Yi slowly collected the treasures, great dicine, and weapons from the table one by one, mockingly looking at Inokuchi Mok: "You want to bite, but don’t even dare to show your teeth. You’d be better off returning to your country to act in films."
"Ah..."
Inokuchi Mok was infuriated, roaring as if to bolster himself, his aura surged, and simultaneously unsheathed a long and a short scimitar from his waist, unleashing two Saber Energy beams. The air sizzled as the Saber Energy tore through it, like slicing fabric, reaching Qin Yi in a blink.
Qin Yi smiled slightly, his fists turning purple-gold, like forged from tal. He swung a punch, the Fist Light swirling, directly obliterating the Saber Energy.
Swish!
Inokuchi Mok moved, his body like a phantom, shifting left and right, his movent erratic yet approaching Qin Yi swiftly like Xu Xun.
Swoosh!
The sound of air being cut, Inokuchi Mok’s intended path was in front of Qin Yi, but like a phantom, he circled behind Qin Yi, his shiny, cold scimitar slicing through the air towards Qin Yi’s back. With a whisper, the scimitar pierced through Qin Yi’s body cleanly.
Everyone was shocked, not expecting Inokuchi Mok to sever Qin Yi in two with one stroke.
Inokuchi Mok himself was puzzled, the stroke passed right through Qin Yi, sothing even he didn’t anticipate. Yet he vaguely sensed an anomaly... How could Qin Yi be so weak?
Sure enough, the next mont he was as stunned as everyone else, the figure of Qin Yi dissolved like clouds and mist, disappearing in the air.
"How does it feel to slash in one stroke? Does it feel satisfying?"
A playful tone rang out. Everyone looked in shock to see Qin Yi standing dozens of ters away.
Qin Yi tugged at the corner of his mouth: "I just wanted to tell you all, you aren’t qualified to kill . Even if you see sliced in half, it’s a mirage. For Qin, even heaven and earth cannot destroy , much less you worthless lot."
After speaking, Qin Yi looked at Inokuchi Mok: "Next, try taking one of my moves."
Inokuchi Mok tensed up, his eyes vigilant, staring intently at Qin Yi, even holding his breath. Facing Qin Yi, he dared not be careless; a single mistake could an death or injury.
"Gentlen, are you going to keep watching the show? How can we tolerate such arrogance; let us all strike together and slay him," Sha Wuqiu’s cheekbone had recovered, his nasal bone restored through energy movent, but with most of his teeth still missing, his speech was slurred and saliva sprayed as he growled.
Mo Buwen raised his voice: "Gentlen, from what I know of this person, none of us can face him alone. Let us join forces to kill him."
Qin Yi’s expression remained calm and unruffled, turning to the won brought by Inokuchi Mok as wagers: "You should escape quickly; swords have no eyes. Soon there might be rivers of blood here, and dying by mistake would be too unjust."
"Hum, even at death’s door, you’re still pitying beauty? How ridiculous," Mo Buwen smirked, "Your reputation and cultivation, Qin Yi, are not beneath ours. Yet you dean yourself to sympathize with these ordinary people, how utterly ridiculous."
Qin Yi looked indifferently at him: "Mo Buwen, who gave you the courage to compare yourself to ? In my eyes, those ordinary people are far more lovable than you worthless bunch. As for being at death’s door... you’re not wrong, but it will be you who die."
Qin Yi paused, looking around: "If I were you, I’d dig a hole now and bury myself alive. Instead of ending up as sun-bleached bones in the desert, eventually becoming ghostly souls."
