"Brother, you stay here for a while. I’ll go down to help, or else I’ll get scolded again." Qin Wan’er whispered.

Qin Yi nodded slightly.

Qin Wan’er was still playing the role of a servant at the Xia Family, and as her brother, he really felt like a failure. But it wouldn’t be long before he would let Qin Wan’er live like a princess.

After Qin Wan’er left, Qin Yi called Liu Zhanyuan.

"Hello, Qin the Divine Doctor?" Liu Zhanyuan’s voice was full of surprise.

Qin Yi said indifferently, "How’s Liu doing?"

"Thank you for your concern, Qin the Divine Doctor. He’s much better now. I believe it won’t be long before he can walk again. I really don’t know how to thank you."

"That’s good!" Qin Yi pondered for a mont, then said, "Why hasn’t the funding been injected into the Xia Group yet?"

"Qin the Divine Doctor, I’m really sorry. I just got everything arranged on my end. I’ll send soone to the Xia Group tomorrow."

Qin Yi said, "I’ve changed my mind. I want to use the fifty million to buy shares in the Xia Group. Calculate how much I can buy."

Liu Zhanyuan was silent for a mont, then said, "The Xia Group is valued at about three to four hundred million. If used well, the fifty million could buy about fifteen percent."

"Chairman Liu, I’ll have to trouble you with this. Try to contact Xia Yuhai, who holds fifteen percent of the Xia Group. If the price is right, acquire his shares. If the money isn’t enough, I still have another twenty million."

"Qin the Divine Doctor, you are too polite. This is not troubleso at all. The Xia Group is a complete ss right now, and no one dares to take it on. If I contact Xia Yuhai now, I’m sure he would be willing. His shares are depreciating every day and will soon beco worthless." Liu Zhanyuan agreed without hesitation. Qin Yi provides the money; he just needs to run an errand and can even gain favor, so why not?

"Alright, then I’ll trouble Chairman Liu. After it’s done, I’ll owe you a favor."

"Qin the Divine Doctor, don’t ntion it. It’s a small thing..." Liu Zhanyuan had been waiting for these words and, after prattling on for half a day, finally hung up the phone.

Qin Yi slightly lowered his head, his eyes flickering. He had purchased shares in the Xia Group with fifty million, but the funding shortage problem of the Xia Group was still unresolved. He now had twenty million, but it was far from enough. He needed at least another thirty million to help the Xia Group through its current crisis.

Where can he get this thirty million?

If worse cos to worst, he could borrow from Liu Zhanyuan. He believed that he would lend it.

"Brother, it’s ti to eat." Qin Wan’er pushed open the door and ca in.

"Did they scold you?" Qin Yi looked at Qin Wan’er’s slightly red eyes, his gaze darkening.

"No, the smoke from the oil got to just now." Qin Wan’er said lightly.

Qin Yi tightened his grip on the wheelchair armrest but said nothing more.

"Wan’er, you don’t have to marry into the Liu Family."

"Huh?" Qin Wan’er blinked her big round eyes, looking incredulous.

"Brother, are you serious?"

Qin Yi nodded slightly and said, "Don’t you trust your brother’s words?"

"Of course, I trust brother’s words, but they’re counting on marrying into the Liu Family to save the Xia Group. How could they agree not to let marry over?"

"Don’t worry. Your brother can predict and guarantee that you’ll get this good news no later than tomorrow." Qin Yi sighed slightly. It turned out Wan’er knew everything and understood why she was to be married off, but she did not resist at all for his sake. He had burdened her all these years.

Qin Wan’er could be said to be half-believing half-doubting Qin Yi’s words. After all, the Xia Group was now just waiting for her to marry into the Liu Family so that they could help. How could they possibly not let her marry over?

However, seeing her brother so sure, Qin Wan’er’s heart still held a tiny bit of hope. She was still young and, if she could, truly didn’t want to marry into the Liu Family.

Qin Wan’er pushed Qin Yi downstairs.

"Useless, do you need an invitation to eat? Should I send people with an eight-carriage sedan chair to carry you?" Dong Jinsu cursed at Qin Yi as soon as she saw him.

Qin Yi pursed his lips. If this were before, he would have felt sowhat discomforted. But now he was not useless, and his mindset was much better; he just regarded Dong Jinsu’s words as farts.

"Qin Wan’er, ask for two days off from school tomorrow. The Liu Family people will co over these two days. Just stay at ho nicely and don’t run around." Dong Jinsu’s tone when speaking to Qin Wan’er was not so harsh. Perhaps Qin Wan’er was now the last straw to save the Xia Group, possibly changing her status once she married over.

Qin Wan’er’s pretty face turned a shade paler, and she timidly said, "Aunt Dong, I have very important classes these days, can I..."

"Can you what? Whose words count in this house, yours or mine? I told you to take leave, so you take leave. Where is all this nonsense coming from?" Dong Jinsu heavily slamd a bowl onto the table, making a loud noise that scared Qin Wan’er into a shiver.

Qin Wan’er hung her little head, her eyes brimming with tears.

Qin Yi’s eyes flashed with coldness, thinking: Dong Jinsu, don’t go too far, or even ice-cold words won’t save you.

Xia Yujiang looked at Qin Wan’er and said with a blank expression, "An unaccomplished woman is virtuous. Marrying a good husband is better than studying. We’re doing this for your own good."

Qin Wan’er lowered her head and said nothing. She was only seventeen and really didn’t want to marry into the Liu Family.

Qin Yi’s expression cooled, and he lowered his head to send a ssage to Liu Zhanyuan, stating that the stock purchase could proceed tomorrow. But he didn’t want to wait for the engagent annulnt until tomorrow.

After sending the ssage, Qin Yi picked up Qin Wan’er’s favorite food, cola chicken wings, and said softly, "Wan’er, trust your brother. First, eat the al. Don’t worry!"

For so unknown reason, Dong Jinsu suddenly threw her chopsticks onto the table with a slap and shouted at Qin Yi, "Take your bowl and go eat sowhere else. Just looking at you makes angry, you useless person, can’t even help in any way, just know how to eat."

Qin Yi was slightly taken aback, but over the years, he had gotten used to Dong Jinsu’s verbal abuse and was ready to take his bowl and move from the table. However, unexpectedly, Xia Yujiang also slamd his chopsticks onto the table and stood up abruptly, heading towards the living room.

Dong Jinsu’s vulgar face imdiately twisted, yelling at Xia Yujiang’s back, "Xia Yujiang, who do you think you’re throwing that tantrum for?"

"This is my house; I’ll throw tantrums whenever I want. Seeing your face doesn’t exactly whet my appetite, does it? Your spit even splashed into my bowl. It’s disgusting even if you don’t find it so." Xia Yujiang replied without turning back.

"You still know this is a ho. I thought you let those vixens outside steal your soul long ago and forgot this is your house." Dong Jinsu slamd the table in anger, spit flying.

Qin Yi backed away disdainfully with his bowl. He initially thought Xia Yujiang was angry at him, but it turned out to be because of Dong Jinsu’s saliva.

In truth, when Dong Jinsu cursed, the corners of her mouth would foam, and her saliva would fly everywhere—it couldn’t be any more disgusting.

Qin Yi quickly pulled Qin Wan’er aside, leaving the battleground to this discordant couple, and the siblings could enjoy so peace.

Suddenly, Qin Yi felt so sympathy for Xia Yujiang. Who would want to co ho to such a shrew?
