Yun ngyao's delicate face held a tinge of sternness, silent and unspoken. Her energy was greatly depleted; thankfully, she was naturally able to fly and had the protection of the Immortal Feather Skirt, otherwise she would have long fallen victim to malicious hands.
The two little ones nestled in her arms, their round eyes fixed on her, neither crying nor making a fuss, as if they understood the magnitude of the trouble they were in.
"Rest assured, I promised your mother that I would protect you well. Your unreliable father probably has no idea that we are trapped in danger, right?" Yun ngyao muttered softly in complaint.
Lei Bai's eyes glead unscrupulously, "I gave you opportunities, yet you did not cherish them and forced to personally take action, wasting ti. Hand over Qin Yi's children to and I can spare your life."
Yun ngyao let out a cold laugh.
"Stubborn won are truly troubleso, but I have a liking for them. Your clothing is remarkable, though its defensive power is limited and won't safeguard you for long. Actually, I'm more interested in the body within those clothes."
"Shaless!" Yun ngyao's face twisted in revulsion.
Lei Bai chuckled salaciously, "When you end up in my hands, you'll have your mont of joy."
With a flick of his hand, power surged forth, forming a massive hand aid at grabbing Yun ngyao.
Yun ngyao narrowed her wings, swiftly dodging aside.
Lei Bai let out a cold snicker, as power surged to create over a dozen massive hands aiming to seize Yun ngyao.
Yun ngyao's face turned icy cold and her gaze solemn, she flicked her wings swiftly, dodging left and right, maneuvering deftly among the massive hands.
However, at that mont, several serpent-like forces twisted toward her.
Urgency flickered in Yun ngyao's eyes, shadows trailed behind her as she pushed her speed to the limits. While she avoided all the hands, she couldn't evade the serpentine forces.
In desperation, Yun ngyao brought her wings forward, overlapping them to shield the two children and herself.
"Boom!"
The wild force crashed into the wings, tearing them apart, feathers scattered down from mid-air.
The storm continued to rage; Yun ngyao in haste used her back to shield against the onslaught, protecting the two children.
"Blurt!"
Despite the protection of the Immortal Feather Skirt, Yun ngyao was thrown back, coughing up blood violently.
Lei Bai flashed forward, catching a piece of seven-colored feather, his face full of surprise, "These feathers are real, you actually have wings?"
Initially thinking Yun ngyao's wings were an energy manifestation, he was shocked they were genuine.
"Interesting, a winged woman—an Angel perhaps? I've never had fun with an Angel before."
Lei Bai grinned wickedly, his figure darting toward Yun ngyao.
With wings damaged, Yun ngyao's face turned pale as paper, severely injured.
Seeing Lei Bai approaching, she shouted low, seven-colored radiance began enshrouding her, wings flicking sharply, hundreds of feathers turned into piercing light shooting forth.
Lei Bai let out a cold laugh, a slap of his hand distorted space before him, shaking all the feathers into dust.
"Comply obediently, or else I will have to ruin the beauty of the flower," Lei Bai threatened, lifting his hand to unleash a terrifying force.
The seven-colored radiance on Yun ngyao was now faint, she had drained too much energy and was barely holding on.
Desperately she flicked her wings, trying to evade.
But Lei Bai's force was swift; she couldn't escape, once again having to bear the strike with her back.
"Bang!"
The storm swept through; if it wasn't for the Immortal Feather Skirt's protection, Yun ngyao would have been torn to pieces.
She spewed blood furiously, using tattered wings to shield the children, falling from the sky.
"Crash!"
The ground shattered as Yun ngyao absorbed the impact, the seven-colored radiance around her faded completely, her cultivation exhausted, blood flowing profusely from her lips.
Struggling, she glanced at the two children, relieved to see them unhard.
"I'm sorry, little ones, I couldn't protect you well, I'm sorry, I've tried my best," Yun ngyao whispered hoarsely.
Lei Bai descended from mid-air, his gaze vile as he looked at Yun ngyao, "I really don't wish to act like this. If you hadn't resisted, served well, you could have kept your life. But now, it matters not; you lack the strength to resist anymore, only able to let do as I please."
Lei Bai's face turned wicked; he reached out his wolf-like claws toward Yun ngyao's delicate face.
But as his hand neared Yun ngyao's face—only two centiters away—he suddenly froze, chilled to the core, feeling cold even in his bones.
He abruptly looked up, all his blood freezing upon eting a pair of eyes that would haunt one's nightmares. Fierce, cold-blooded, rciless, more fearso than any beast hungry for blood.
"Qin, Qin Yi?" Lei Bai had not noticed his voice shaking.
Yun ngyao looked over with effort, smiling lightly; the unreliable fool had finally appeared.
Qin Yi's expression remained calm, yet the relentless surge of murderous aura around him betrayed his inner turmoil.
If anyone were to touch Qin Yi's hand now, they'd find it drenched in cold sweat.
He was afraid.
If he hadn't arrived in ti, Yun ngyao, the two children... the consequences would have been unimaginable.
Aside from the ti when Duan Yiyi died, he had never felt such fear.
Lei Bai suddenly attacked, lightning-fast, reaching for Yun ngyao's slender white neck.
Qin Yi could easily defeat Mo Honghai and other Great Perfection Divine Separation Stage experts; Lei Bai, at the Divine Separation Middle Stage, was no match, thus intending to use Yun ngyao to threaten Qin Yi.
However, within just a few centiters, instead of grabbing a person, he grasped a handful of soil.
The woman and children before him suddenly vanished.
Lei Bai felt ice chill through him; without hostages, he dared not contemplate what Qin Yi would do to him?
"Are you alright?" Qin Yi looked at Yun ngyao with deep concern.
Yun ngyao rolled her eyes with annoyance, struggling, "Do you have an illness or sothing? Can't you see for yourself?"
"Uh..."
Qin Yi quickly raised his hand, enveloping Yun ngyao in rolling purple light, and took out several plants of Spiritual dicine to refine for her absorption.
He picked up the two children.
Unexpectedly, the two little ones who hadn't cried or fussed suddenly burst into tears the mont Qin Yi held them, competing for volu, as if complaining to Qin Yi.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry... It's all Daddy's fault..."
Qin Yi scrambled to calm the two little ones.
Yet, the two little ones continued crying even louder, their cries escalating in grievance.
"Whoosh!"
Lei Bai ran, exerting all his strength, fleeing furiously.
His cleverness prompted him to know there was no chance unless he escaped now.
If caught by Qin Yi, death would be the least of his worries.
Qin Yi squinted his eyes, the tangible killing intent surged forth, purple radiance emanating from his body, weaving into threads of purple light. Like little purple snakes, they darted through the air with lightning speed, chasing after Lei Bai.
Lei Bai sprinted like a hounded dog. Suddenly, he felt his legs wrapped in sothing. He tripped headlong, his face scraping along the ground, plowing through the surface to form a trench several ters long.
