Xu Su froze when he grabbed her hand. Hearing what he said, she retorted irritably, "You’re way too popular with other girls, Xi Zirong. I don’t like my boyfriend getting cornered, and I definitely don’t like it when my own friends have a crush on you."

She only had a handful of close friends, and now that Wu Qianqian had a thing for him, things between the two of them would be awkward from now on.

As Xu Su thought about it, she decided, ’Boyfriends really are such a pain...’

In her past life, Zhou Mochen had also been a magnet for won, but the Xu Su of that ti couldn’t have cared less who was by his side. Whenever she heard rumors, she just treated them like juicy gossip.

She never felt the slightest bit of anxiety about new won appearing in his life. In fact, she wished he would fall for soone else and finally give her freedom.

But in the end, right up until she was reborn, that man had only grown more insane over the course of more than a decade. Forget falling for another woman—if he got a dog, it had to be a male.

The won who pursued Zhou Mochen, trying to latch onto him, would all vanish on their own before long. She had no idea what he did to make them disappear.

But on second thought, it made sense. Zhou Mochen was more cunning than anyone. He wouldn’t even have to lift a finger to deal with the won swarming him; his subordinates would take care of it automatically.

’Why would he inconvenience himself by entertaining won he had no interest in?’

So, in Xu Su’s entire two romantic experiences, this was the first ti she’d ever been bothered by a boyfriend being too outstanding and popular.

The fact that Wu Qianqian also liked him was especially troubling, since she was a friend.

Xu Su’s thoughts had drifted far away. She only snapped back to reality when the hand holding hers tightened slightly, and she looked up at Xi Zirong.

The boy’s eyes were filled with sorrow and anger. "You said you don’t want ? You’ll dump just because soone else likes ? Xu Su, I can’t control that! You can’t use that as an excuse to break up with ."

If there were so way to control people’s feelings, Xi Zirong would give anything to make every girl in the world dislike him—everyone except Xu Su.

But he couldn’t, which only made Xu Su’s words sound all the more unreasonable.

Xu Su hadn’t expected him to have such a strong reaction to an offhand complaint. This was a classroom during the evening self-study session. It wasn’t completely silent; because of study groups, there was a constant low murmur of students discussing their work.

After glancing around, Xu Su chose to placate him in a low voice. "I was just venting. I didn’t really an I was going to dump you over this. Xi Zirong, you need to learn to tell when I’m serious and when I’m joking. Aren’t you supposed to be an academic god? You can’t even figure that out?"

Xi Zirong studied her for a long mont before saying softly, "Don’t make those kinds of jokes again, Susu. Don’t let irrelevant people ruin your mood, and don’t take it out on because of them."

Xu Su pouted and pulled her hand away. "I need to study. Stop staring at ."

Being watched by the top-ranked student in their year while trying to work, even Xu Su, ranked second, felt a little pressure.

With final exams approaching, the teachers had once again begun drowning them in practice problems. They had nearly finished the entire third-year curriculum, and the practice tests they were doing now even included difficult questions from past years’ college entrance exams.

The teachers had dug up all sorts of supplentary textbooks from God-knows-where, all from renowned educators. City No.1 High School had its own connections; they even managed to procure test papers from the affiliated high schools of top universities in Magic Capital and Beijing.

Other classes didn’t necessarily get all of these materials. The honors class had the fastest-paced curriculum, so they got the most complete set of supplentary resources.

The other classes were given a few papers appropriate for their level, and that was enough to keep them busy. But by next year, those classes would have to work through the sa papers that the honors students had already completed.

Xi Zirong wasn’t idle, either. Unlike the other students, he never bothered with the mountain of tests the teachers handed out. Instead, he was incredibly enthusiastic about creating custom problems for Xu Su. He would even take these questions to an off-campus print shop to have them formatted into proper tests for her to complete.

As a result, Xu Su not only had to do the papers assigned by her teachers but also the "special tutoring" sessions Xi Zirong prepared for her.

The teachers of the major subjects, including Teacher Wu, were extrely interested in the tests Xi Zirong was creating for Xu Su. They even took a few of her completed papers to look over.

In the end, after getting Xi Zirong’s permission, Teacher Wu told the other students in the class to go print the tests out themselves at their own expense.

According to Teacher Wu, the questions Xi Zirong wrote mostly targeted key concepts for the exams. They covered the sester’s most important topics and were every bit as good as those created by professional educators.

"..." Xu Su glanced at her completely unruffled boyfriend and sighed internally.

’How is it that we’re both students, and I’ve even lived through this twice, yet he’s over there writing tests for the entire class, while I’m just...’

Sensing her stare, Xi Zirong turned his head, a smile in his eyes. "What is it?"

"Nothing. I’m just a little curious about how your brain is wired." Xu Su was genuinely curious now. "Xi Zirong, what’s your dream?"

When they were little, a lot of kids dread of becoming scientists, and Xu Su was no exception.

But now, she thought that Xi Zirong truly had what it took to beco one.

’It would be a real waste for a brain like that to end up as a corporate drone or so businessman reeking of money.’

Startled by the question, Xi Zirong took a couple of seconds before answering. "I’m interested in research. I want to explore both artificial intelligence and biological sciences. Susu, which do you prefer?"

"...? Aren’t those two fields a little far apart?"

Xu Su was confused. "But why are you asking which one I like? I’m not the one who’ll be studying it. This is your future; you should decide for yourself. With your grades, you could get into any university you want, in any major. It’d be easy for you."

Xi Zirong said with great solemnity, "It’s not just my future. It’s ours. Is there a field you’re fond of?"

"..." ’At this mont,’ Xu Su thought, ’Xi Zirong seems more like the one with a thirty-year-old soul than I do.’

’What kind of teenager, in his first-ever relationship, seriously discusses his future college major as if it’s ’our’ future?!’

Xu Su shook her head. "I really don’t have an opinion. It should depend on your own interests. Xi Zirong, you need to be serious about your own future. Don’t base every decision on my preferences."

Xi Zirong asked again, "Then what about you? Have you thought about what major you want to apply for?"

They were in their second year of high school now; in one more sester, they’d be third-years. It sounded like they still had plenty of ti, but it was actually the right mont to start thinking about college majors.

Xu Su already had her own plan. She said with a grin, "I want to get into University B. As for the major, I don’t have any particular preference right now. I’d be fine with being placed in whatever’s available."
