"I've told you many times to stop calling me Miss Song, just call me Qingchun." Song Qingchun glared at Cheng Qingchong in mock anger.
"She's right, you know…" Qin Yinan, who had his fill, sat up in bed. Cheng Qingchong helped Song Qingchun to the sofa and immediately rushed over to put two pillows behind Qin Yinan to make him feel more fortable.
Qin Yinan was startled by this caring action by Cheng Qingchong. He lowered his face for a while before smiling gently as he continued his sentence. "…Calling her Miss Song adds unnecessary distance. If you don't feel like calling her Qingchun, you can follow my lead and call her Song Song."
Cheng Qingchong nodded before turning to ask Song Qingchun, "Would you like a glass of water?"
"It's okay, I just came over to drop off some things for Brother Yinan." Song Qingchun shook her head and smiled. Then she picked up a bag and passed it to Qin Yinan. "Brother Yinan, happy birthday!"
Cheng Qingchun accepted it on Qin Yinan's behalf and walked to set it before him. Qin Yinan didn't open it right away but nodded his thanks. Then his gaze fell on Song Qingchun's pregnant stomach. "How many days longer?"
"About one week to ten days." Song Qingchun lowered her head to touch her big tummy, her expression washed with a motherly glow.
"That's perfect. I'm supposed to be released the day after tomorrow. I'll be there by the delivery room to wele Little Sesame into this world…" Qin Yinan, who was smiling, suddenly became overcast.
Song Qingchun knew he was reminded of the child Cheng Qingchong had lost when she had the miscarriage, so she quickly changed the topic. "Brother Yinan, after you get out of hospital, you'd better hurry and have one with Qingchong. One year later, Little Sesame will have a playmate."
Cheng Qingchong lowered her head with a blush. Qin Yinan laughed happily as if he didn't mind the idea that much.
Song Qingchun didn't stay at the hospital for long.
It was Cheng Qingchong who walked Song Qingchun out. When she returned, Qin Yinan had already gotten out of bed. He stood beside the window, opening the birthday present Song Qingchun had bought for him. Cheng Qingchong closed the door softly and walked towards Qin Yinan. She saw it was a beautiful watch that was sitting inside the opened bag.
Cheng Qingchong, who had taken care of Qin Yinan for eight months, knew this was his favourite brand. Qin Yinan stared unblinkingly at the watch for a long time before he realized Cheng Qingchong was standing beside him. He turned to look at her.
Cheng Qingchong, who felt his gaze, smiled kindly. "That's a wonderful present."
"It is," Qin Yinan replied and closed the bag to put it on the table.
"Erm, I didn't know it's your birthday today, so I didn't get anything for you…" Cheng Qingchong smiled apologetically at Qin Yinan. "…but happy birthday…"
Qin Yinan didn't say anything. His eyes that were still on Cheng Qingchong were deep and dark, carrying with it an indescribable passion.
Cheng Qingchong was made unfortable by this stare, and she lowered her head quickly.
