Now reading: Case 337: Chasing clout is life from Local Netizen Elf’s Life In Another World, a Action novel by Kalliel.

[How did my bread-baking elf suddenly get so violent...?]

[To be honest, these things are sick.]

[Never knew I needed this combination, but here I am...]

[More uploads pls...]

''Heheh...''

What should I say... the gun video is doing quite well.

It hasn't really occurred to until now, but receiving lots of positive attention like this feels good. I guess a big part of it is the appreciation people hold for my content.

Moreover, reading comnts is really fun!

Everybody is humorous, and there is little toxicity in the chats. It's an excellent way to ease my brain from straining activities, naly mass-producing divine weapons for the military.

''...''

However, there is also a problem. I'm not sure if this is my imagination or not, but my lovers have been looking at strangely for the past few days. It's unusual in the first place, and it isn't as though I'm not satisfying their needs at all.

What is this? Am I balding or sothing?

Feeling a bit petty, I grab a random Emy out of the bunch and corner her against the wall.

''Mind telling what is going on?'' I ask. ''If you really don't want to talk, then go ahead, but...''

Perhaps knowing my stubbornness, the elf girl barely hesitates for a mont before caving in, ''It's... clout.''

''...Clout?''

''We were worried you might get addicted to online clout.''

So... yeah.

This is stupid. I can't say I don't know where they're coming from since I am sowhat known as the terminally online chick even in this life. Because Eva gave the ability to surf the internet when I close my eyes, and they know it, it wouldn't be too outrageous if they think I use my abilities all the ti.

Still, it's a baseless worry. Even if I'm addicted to chasing clout or whatnot, this isn't my main passion. At the end of the day, I'll just be an elf.

But my nonexistent reputation is on the line here, so I'll have to clarify it, okay? Being a clout chaser is worse than being cringe.

Calling the whole group over and proving my innocence is more daunting than expected, and I can't help but feel a bit weird. Do we still have ti for all this nonsense?

No, maybe it is a nice break from everything else. Maybe it's better to release the tension and not mind tomorrow's business.

I always try to brighten my tone and avoid ntioning stressful stuff as much as I can, but there's a limit to it. I'll definitely have to take a century-long hiatus after beating Eve. Yeah.

''?''

''Yes, darling. I know you are busy, but can you spare us so ti?''

One morning, my mom suddenly cos to with a request—she wants to appear on international television. Following the standardization of smartphones and long-range, instant communication, we have achieved yet another milestone—universal broadcasting.

Of course, I am aware that we already have sothing similar before this. In fact, I used that very technology in my saint-y speech a while back. Now, that one is expensive to use as hell, and it certainly can't cover the whole continent.

So, we've placed video-transmitting crystals—a mix of magical and modern engineering—across the allied countries so that broadcasting might beco easier. This way, we can reach the people without a mobile phone as well, which, admittedly, is still the majority.

''But what do I do there? Do I need to read a script of sorts?''

''If you don't want to morize it, sure. It's sothing related to the firearm instruction piece you uploaded last week.''

''Ah.''

As soon as I hear those words, I feel like everything makes sense. And as it turns out, my suspicion is correct—they want to further popularize the content utilizing the new broadcasting system.

''On that track, baby, you are officially our primary representative, so it would be amazing if you can help us announce our future plans to the world.''

''No need to be that reserved, mom. I'll do everything I need to. It's my job, after all.''

''...''

Without uttering a word, Mom pulls into her warm embrace, smiling bitterly. Of course, I also hug her back, and we stay that way for a bit.

''...and the angle... right, about this much, I guess.''

''You can stop there.''

''Oh, okay.''

These days, everything feels like a big, fat fever dream. Continuing such a phenonon, I am sohow filming a video with... Eva. This is after I went on television for a ride.

I an, technically speaking, Eva and I have already fild a lot together, but those tapes are sothing I don't want to be leaked to the public—not like this one, which is designed to reach as many people as possible.

''Ahem.''

The goddess herself requested to do this just a few monts ago, but this is sothing I'd considered before that. See, everybody in this planet knows as the saint, the savior, and the elf. Those aren't wrong, but if I keep staying a 'saint'... I won't be considered a goddess.

Sure, I'd put the word 'goddess' in my channel na, but no sane person is going to think that I'm the real deal.

So, the solution—bring the real goddess on.

If Eva were to recognize my status and vouch for on top of that, it'd literally be a godsend.

Ah... what a combination. By the end, it'll be a peaceful series of mundane stuff I'd do with her. Like raising our child.

But first, introduction.

''I am Eva.''

''And I am Sylvia Everwood. Welco back, everyone.''

With a calm, composed face, my goddess takes no more than two minutes to explain the reason she decided to let , her nominal follower, to beco a deity of my own.

Along the way, I also chi in from ti to ti, expressing my willingness in all of this.

''This is all I have to say.'' Eva finishes her talk, closing her eyes unceremoniously.

''...With that, I hope we have clarified any misunderstanding you may have, and from this point onward, I hope to receive your support and prayers.''

To the people behind the cara, I sincerely hope so.

After all, this isn't just about and my requisition of power, but the whole continent.

And, let's not forget—

''...!''

At the end of the recording, I sneakily pull Eva over and plant a kiss on her cheek. As always, her skin feels a bit cold, but her flustered expression is enough to lift all day.

''You...''

''The recording is off.''

''...''

''...''

Aha. I know that face.

Let's continue recording... 'that' kind of recording, I suppose.

[Certainly didn't expect this...]

[My god, am I really seeing Mother Goddess in person...?!]

[No, look, what the hell was that kiss at the end?? Are they dating or sothing...?]

∟[For real, I thought I was tripping.]

∟[This elf sure is a Goddess of Lust... she even gets our Mother Goddess.]

∟[My bread-baking elf is strange.]

[Mother Goddesses.]

[This is like reading a yuri novel. I'm religious now.]

∟[ too.]

∟[ three.]
