Su Que killed Fan Wuyang in almost a single breath.
After Fan Wuyang called out the nas of his two subordinates, he had already alard the White Lotus Sect mbers in the inn.
But when the White Lotus Sect mbers stepped out of their rooms and looked toward the outhouse, they could not see Su Que anymore.
They could only see two corpses outside of the outhouse.
And Fan Wuyang’s feet sticking out from the outhouse.
The White Lotus Sect mbers hurried down from the inn and went to the backyard, where they saw Fan Wuyang in the latrine.
Fan Wuyang’s face was sunken and shattered.
His right arm was twisted beyond recognition.
This scene left the White Lotus Sect mbers dumbfounded.
"Who... who on earth did this?!"
The White Lotus Sect mbers were instantly left speechless.
The attacker not only managed to smash Fan Wuyang’s head but also twisted the arm he used to practice the "Yin Wind Claw" to such an extent!
"Guan... Brother Jie, what should we do now?"
A flustered White Lotus Sect mber stamred as he asked a man nad Guan Jie.
This Guan Jie, with more seniority and the strongest among the present White Lotus Sect mbers,
was naturally the leader of this group after Fan Wuyang’s death.
"What else can we do!"
Guan Jie frowned and replied:
"This person could kill Hall Master Fan, so it’s likely we are no match for him either!"
"We should leave quickly while he’s not aiming at us yet!"
"Guan... Brother Jie, should we collect Hall Master Fan and the others’ bodies?" another underling asked.
Guan Jie stepped away and said,
"What’s the point of collecting bodies! If we die, no one will be around to collect ours!"
The other White Lotus Sect mbers found this reasonable and followed Guan Jie away, leaving behind the corpses of Fan Wuyang and the two White Lotus Sect mbers.
A while later, a White Lotus Sect mber returned and quickly searched the bodies of Fan Wuyang and the two White Lotus Sect mbers.
After searching all three bodies, he muttered, "How co everything on them is gone? Could it be that person killed them because he needed money?"
Muttering to himself, he reluctantly left.
...
Late at night.
The White Lotus Sect mbers hurriedly packed their bags and left the inn.
Fearing that whoever killed Fan Wuyang might co back with intentions to kill them too, they did not dare take the main road but instead chose a narrow path.
Soon, they passed through a forest along the path.
This forest, nad "Po Feng Forest," was a little over twenty miles outside of Jade Water City, with a small hill beside it.
Among them, the most powerful, Guan Jie, was just a Second Blood Refining martial artist.
Although his body was strong, since he hadn’t refined his Five Viscera, his vision wasn’t clear in the dark.
Not to ntion the other White Lotus Sect mbers with even lesser skills.
The sound of their footsteps treading on soil, withered leaves, and dry branches continuously echoed in the forest.
"Ah!"
Suddenly, a White Lotus Sect mber let out a heart-wrenching scream.
He clutched his leg and fell to the ground.
"What happened?"
The other White Lotus Sect mbers were thrown into panic and quickly stopped to look.
They saw that the fallen White Lotus Sect mber had a beast trap clamping on his foot.
Blood gushed from his foot.
"Which heartless hunter set a beast trap here!"
Guan Jie cursed and then ordered another White Lotus Sect mber to help open the trap.
The remaining White Lotus Sect mbers continued moving forward.
"Light a fire to see your way carefully, there could be more traps on the ground!"
Guan Jie suddenly instructed.
Hearing this, the other White Lotus Sect mbers responded affirmatively and proceeded to break branches to make torches.
At that mont, they suddenly heard a rustling sound from their left, growing louder.
Lighting their fire sticks, they hurriedly looked and saw ten or so sharpened wooden stakes charging toward them!
"Quick, dodge!"
Guan Jie shouted, leaping aside.
But not all White Lotus Sect mbers reacted as quickly as him.
The sharp wooden stakes struck down, instantly impaling four White Lotus Sect mbers and severely injuring three others.
"Ah!"
"Ah!"
"Ah!"
Three more White Lotus Sect mbers stepped on beast traps while attempting to dodge.
Seeing those either dead or injured, Guan Jie’s pupils contracted.
Now he knew that these traps and stakes were all deliberately placed by soone!
Fearful, Guan Jie decided to ignore the remaining sect mbers and, lighting a fire stick, fled in a different direction, illuminating the path at his feet.
Swish!
Suddenly, a figure leapt out from the forest, and from ten or more steps away, raised his right hand, throwing a cloud of li powder toward Guan Jie’s face!
In a panic, Guan Jie shut his eyes, turning to flee.
But then the sound of wind breaking arose, and a fist punched through the li powder, striking Guan Jie’s skull.
Bam!
Guan Jie’s skull suddenly shattered, blood and brain matter splattering out.
Su Que withdrew his fist and dashed toward the other White Lotus Sect mbers.
After killing Fan Wuyang, Su Que intended to stop there, planning to stay quietly in his room overnight and leave Tenglong Town the next day.
But he saw the White Lotus Sect mbers hastily packing their bags to leave.
Initially, he wasn’t sure how strong the White Lotus Sect mbers were, or if he could defeat them.
But seeing them leave in such a hurry, Su Que reckoned they were quite weak, severely fearing him who could kill Fan Wuyang.
At that mont, Su Que decided he’d kill the remaining White Lotus Sect mbers as well.
After all, practicing martial arts was costly, and the White Lotus Sect mbers carried quite a bit of money on them.
This tempting opportunity was too good to pass up.
Still, he wasn’t entirely sure if those White Lotus Sect mbers left because they feared him, so he brought a large bag of li and two large bags of beast traps with him.
He laid an ambush ahead of the path the White Lotus Sect mbers would take.
Most of the other White Lotus Sect mbers were One Blood Martial Artists, much weaker than Su Que.
Su Que dashed forward, launching a flurry of punches!
His fists landed heavily on the White Lotus Sect mbers, each thud resounding in the forest.
It was Su Que’s Fist Force transmitting into their hearts, instantly shattering them!
Before long, a dozen or so bodies lay scattered throughout the forest.
"I didn’t expect you to be this weak."
Standing in the forest, Su Que looked around and murmured.
If he had known earlier, he wouldn’t have needed to go to the trouble of setting up an ambush and could’ve killed the White Lotus Sect mbers outright.
While thinking this, Su Que quickly searched the bodies of the White Lotus Sect mbers.
Soon, he stuffed over ten money pouches into his clothing.
Then he collected the beast traps from the ground and put them into the bag slung over his shoulder.
As he left, he ticulously cleared any footprints and traces on his path.
