Longevity Martial Arts: Grinding Experience in the Chaotic World Chapter 538 - 293: A Hundred Flowers Vying for Favor
Gu Sheng gave a faint smile. "Elder Ziwei, you flatter ."
Elder Ziwei sat down and joined the group in drinking and lively conversation.
Her gestures and expressions revealed an inherent charm and allure that were impossible to resist.
Gu Sheng, however, maintained his clarity and vigilance; he knew that this was, after all, Demon Clan territory, and he couldn’t afford to be careless.
As ti passed, more and more Demon Clan won gathered in the Hundred Flower Garden.
So were pure and captivating, while others were enchanting and beguiling, each with their own unique qualities.
Among them, a few won showed obvious interest in Gu Sheng, frequently toasting him and offering gestures of goodwill.
Bai Qi was one of them. She was dressed in a pure white gown, like an ethereal fairy amidst the snow, untouched by the mundane world.
She approached Gu Sheng and softly said, "Young Master Gu, I offer you a toast."
Gu Sheng raised his cup in return. "Thank you, Miss Bai Qi."
The two exchanged a smile, as though an inexplicable emotion lingered in the air around them.
However, at that exact mont, a cold voice suddenly resonated. "Hmph! Human n are truly all fickle-hearted scoundrels!"
Everyone turned to the source of the voice, only to see a woman in a dark-colored long dress walking over slowly.
Her face was cold and breathtakingly beautiful, and an icy aura surrounded her, as though keeping all others at an unbreachable distance.
Elder Xuanbing!" Yan Ruyu frowned slightly and bowed respectfully to the woman in the dark dress.
Elder Xuanbing cast a frosty glance at Gu Sheng, then walked to the side and sat down without saying another word.
Her deanor was clearly displeased, as if she was not at all welcoming of Gu Sheng’s presence.
Gu Sheng could sense Elder Xuanbing’s hostility, but he was unbothered.
He understood that within Demon Clan territory, even the elders had labyrinthine agendas and interests.
His purpose here was to assist Yan Ruyu and the Demon Clan through their tribulations; he had no desire to be embroiled in these disputes.
Calm waters are often disturbed by sudden gusts. As the group drank and reveled, hurried footsteps suddenly echoed, followed by a panic-stricken voice shouting: "Sothing’s wrong! Black Mountain Old Demon’s remnants are attacking!"
The crowd was stunned and alard, rising to their feet in unison. Yan Ruyu’s expression grew grave as she declared, "Everyone, do not panic. Follow to confront them!"
With that, she turned to Gu Sheng and said, "Young Master Gu, you should co as well."
Gu Sheng nodded. "Alright!"
The group swiftly left the Hundred Flower Garden and arrived at the entrance of the Demon Clan’s territory.
A horde of black-robed n stord toward them with an intimidating aura, their faces grotesque and terrifying, their bodies exuding a thick and murderous energy.
"Hmph! You wretched Demon Clan remnants! Today will be your end!" one of the black-robed n sneered.
Yan Ruyu furrowed her brow. "So it’s Black Mountain Old Demon’s defeated underlings. And yet you dare to court death again?"
Gu Sheng faced off against the black-robed figures.
"Hmph! Don’t think killing Black Mountain Old Demon settles everything. This ti, we’re here to make the Demon Clan bleed!" The black-robed man spoke coldly and maliciously, his voice resounding across the Demon Clan’s territory.
Gu Sheng’s eyes narrowed slightly as he stood before the gathered demons. The golden Ancient Sacred Body shimred brilliantly under the sun, its lattice-like patterns radiating an aura of inviolable majesty.
"Why have these black-robed individuals attacked suddenly? Don’t they know Black Mountain Old Demon is already dead?" Gu Sheng pondered internally, but his expression remained composed.
Elder Xuanbing and Elder Ziwei exchanged glances, each seeing the gravity reflected in the other’s eyes. The two elders moved simultaneously, their swift forms slicing through the air like autumn winds scattering leaves as they charged toward the black-robed figures.
The battle erupted instantly. Elder Xuanbing’s frigid aura and Elder Ziwei’s alluring movents sharply contrasted, yet both were equally lethal.
Under the combined assault of the two elders, the black-robed n crumbled like straw n, easily defeated.
Yet, when the elders’ strikes landed on the bodies of the black-robed figures, they discovered the n’s interiors were utterly hollow, as though emptied by so mysterious force. These black-robed figures were nothing but puppets!
"This is... the handiwork of Destruction Hall!" A flash of fear flickered in Elder Xuanbing’s eyes.
Gu Sheng was jolted upon hearing this. Destruction Hall—the legendary, enigmatic, and imnsely powerful organization—was not only real but had already infiltrated this realm!
"Hahaha! You Demon Clan vermin, tonight your blood shall flow freely!"
A crazed voice abruptly rang out. From within the ranks of black-robed figures erged a shadow cloaked in an even darker robe.
"Who are you?" Gu Sheng asked coldly.
"I am an emissary of Destruction Hall, here to send you all on your way!" snarled the black-robed emissary with a twisted smile.
A sliver of cold light flickered in Gu Sheng’s eyes. In a flash, he moved like lightning and charged toward the black-robed emissary.
The Jade Maiden Sword glead in his hand, Sword Qi slicing through the air, aid directly at the emissary’s throat.
The emissary let out a cold laugh and, with a bizarre twist of his body, dodged Gu Sheng’s attack with ease.
He retaliated with a handstrike, releasing a black Handprint infused with corrosive power that surged toward Gu Sheng.
Gu Sheng shifted his form again, narrowly avoiding the strike. He was inwardly alard; this black-robed emissary’s strength was astounding! Moreover, his bizarre movent techniques suggested he did not belong to this world.
"Boy, your speed isn’t bad. Too bad you’re destined to perish here today!" The emissary sneered, his figure vanishing from its spot once more.
Gu Sheng’s expression hardened as he activated the Carefree Ascension Step, his form disappearing as well. The two figures moved rapidly through the air, each collision unleashing explosive waves of energy.
"Swish, swish, swish!"
Yet Gu Sheng discovered he couldn’t lock onto the emissary’s movents!
The emissary’s speed was utterly overwhelming, seemingly surpassing the boundaries of space itself. Moreover, his attacks carried a strange corrosive force that made them exceedingly difficult to counter.
