The seal that Hoshi improved was not entirely new. In truth, its roots were ancient. The original version? A primitive seal that Dan had learned decades ago in the village of the Sage of the Six Paths. It was the very first seal he had ever studied—simple, with a very limited function.

Upon this rudintary foundation, Dan had built all his subsequent studies. He expanded from it, developed it, and ca to understand its core principles. From the mastery of those principles, the first version of the Vitality Seal was born. As for the specific seal Hoshi had worked on, it was one of the seals he had created during his search for a thod to seal and store chakra in large quantities without hindering movent or natural flow.

The old problem: How to store chakra without freezing the body's movent or imprisoning it?

In reality, Dan had a deeper vision for the role of this long-neglected technology. He intended to integrate it with the defensive barrier technology surrounding the base, creating sothing akin to... a battery. A massive battery that stores chakra and feeds the barrier continuously. This would allow the barrier to beco more independent, rather than relying solely on his own chakra—which was the current limitation—and remain activated at all tis.

The idea was brilliant, but the execution was complex. It required further refinent of the seal, various experints on the integration thod, and tests to ensure stability, compatibility, and efficiency. It required ti—a vast amount of ti.

Dan did not have that ti available right now. He was occupied with developing the brain seal and other ambitious projects. But now? Hoshi had provided a way forward. Her improved version of the storage seal—boasting 23% higher efficiency and better stability—was a significant step. It was not the end, but it was a promising beginning.

Dan sat with her in the laboratory, examining her diagrams. "Excellent. But not enough."

She raised an eyebrow. "What do you an?"

"I want you to continue. Improve it further." He placed his finger on a section of the diagram. "Here. The storage capacity is good, but the discharge speed is too slow. If we want to integrate it with the barrier, we need an instantaneous flow."

She understood imdiately. "How much ti do I have?"

"Take what you need. Years if necessary." He paused. "But make it a priority. This project is vital."

She nodded, her eyes gleaming with the thrill of a new challenge.

"And one more thing." Dan pointed to a collection of leather manuscripts on one of the shelves. They contained his notes and details regarding the barrier technique. "Make use of these. They will help you understand the chanics of the barrier. Then think: How do we integrate the storage seal with it?"

She stood before the shelves, visibly excited. "A treasure trove of knowledge," she said. "I will start today."

"Good." He looked at her directly. "If you succeed in this, you will have changed the entire defenses of the family. Do you understand?"

She swallowed hard. Her father was entrusting her with a monuntal responsibility. Nevertheless, she nodded firmly. "I will succeed, Father."

He offered a slight smile. Afterward, he left her imrsed in her reading and returned to his own corner to continue his personal research: the developnt of the Vitality Seal for the brain and nerves. This was his most difficult project to date.

For the past few years, he had been using a primitive version. It was not a direct seal on the brain, but a modification of the original Vitality Seal. He had increased the concentration of healing chakra in the blood heading toward the brain, allowing it to flow without cessation. Years of constant nourishnt.

The results... were staggering. He witnessed a massive improvent in every function related to the brain.

His reflexes? They had improved incredibly. He was fast before, but now? He could see movent almost before it happened. His muscles responded to commands without any delay, as if the gap between thought and action had completely vanished.

His chakra control? It was literally indescribable. Previously, he controlled chakra at the cellular level thanks to his Kekkei Genkai. Now? It was deeper than that. His control had multiplied exponentially, allowing him to govern hundreds of thousands of cells simultaneously rather than just a few, directing them with absolute precision. If he wished, he could isolate a single cell and pump chakra into it without affecting the adjacent cells.

This level of control... was supernatural. It was beyond human.

But the strangest part? His senses. Every sense had improved to an insane degree.

His sight: He could now see with total clarity up to three kiloters away. It was not a blurry vision—it was clear and precise. He could see the facial expressions of a person two kiloters away and notice an insect flying a kiloter and a half distant.

His hearing: He could hear whispers from hundreds of ters away, the heartbeats of his children as they slept in their distant hos, and the footsteps of an ant on a leaf.

His sll: He could catch scents from kiloters away. He could distinguish between his children individual by individual and knew exactly who had entered his room hours earlier based on the lingering scent.

The senses had beco so powerful... but they were simultaneously intrusive. Every sound was clear. Every sll was overwhelming. Every sight was sharp.

In the beginning, these senses caused him to lose a large portion of his concentration. The massive influx of sensory information bombarded his brain without pause. However, his superhuman brain adapted. It learned to filter, to use selective ignorance, and to focus only on what mattered. Without the enhanced brain, these heightened senses would ntally shatter anyone else; therefore, he considered it an extrely dangerous technique, unsuitable for anyone but himself.

Even with the adaptation, it was exhausting at tis. He needed a way to dampen the senses slightly. A temporary pause. A rest. He wrote a note: Research: A seal to regulate the senses. Toggle on/off as needed. Later. A secondary priority.

The most important thing? The next step. Applying a true seal directly to the brain and nerves. Not just nourishnt through the blood, but a direct seal. It was difficult and dangerous, but necessary. Years of preparation were enough. The brain was now strong, enhanced, and ready for a direct seal.

He began drawing the preliminary diagrams. Where should the seal be placed? Which parts of the brain first? How should it be linked to the nervous system? Many questions required precise answers.

But sothing else had caught his attention recently. Sothing strange and unexpected. He began to feel sothing... different... around him. It wasn't a danger. It wasn't a threat. It was sothing... else.

When he concentrated deeply—especially while using his network technique—he felt it. The network itself had improved significantly. It used to cover ten and a half kiloters; now, it was a massive circle. He sensed everything within it with terrifying clarity.

But lately, when he focused profoundly, he felt sothing further beyond. It wasn't clear; it was hazy, but it was there. It wasn't creatures, people, or animals. It was sothing... deeper. As if it were... a layer beneath reality?

Dan did not know how to describe it. Whenever he closed his eyes and focused all his attention on the network, for a fleeting mont, he felt sothing. It was as if there were... threads. Very thin, invisible threads connecting everything. The trees, the stones, the earth, the air. All of them were interconnected by these delicate filants.

And when he focused even more, he felt that these intertwined threads were arranged in a tidy, geotric fashion.

He wrote a note: Strange phenonon. Energy threads? Nature unclear. Requires research.

He did not know exactly what it ant, but he had an intriguing idea. Perhaps after completing the brain seal, he would understand more. Perhaps his superhuman senses were revealing a side of the world that others could not see.

Or perhaps he was losing his mind. Who knows?

Dan smiled to himself with a touch of irony. The second possibility was unlikely. His mind was enhanced, stable. Most likely... he was about to discover sothing new, and he already had a hunch about what it might be.

Thus, he was eager to explore this secret.
