"You may relax for a while."

Dan spoke as he looked at Hoshi calmly, his voice carrying a rare, subtle note of gentleness. "You have achieved a staggering feat. You deserve a rest."

But she responded instantly, snapping her head up with clear firmness, her eyes shimring with resolve. "No, Father. Not now." She looked at him directly. "I want to begin the second phase of the project imdiately. Without any delay."

Dan observed her grave features, the unmistakable determination in her gaze, and the steel in her tone—a total rejection of the concept of leisure. Seeing this, he did not press the matter; there was no utility in forcing rest upon a mind so set on its course.

"Very well," he said simply. "You may do as you wish."

For Hoshi, this refusal to rest despite such a grand success was neither strange nor impulsive. It was entirely natural. She had spent the past several years as a constant fixture in Dan's private laboratory, witnessing firsthand how he maintained an absolute, unwavering continuity in his experints and research. He never stopped. Even after achieving massive breakthroughs or perfecting incredibly complex techniques, he moved forward without pause.

It had been this way from the beginning. The first version of the Vitality Seal? A success—and he moved imdiately to the second. The advanced thread techniques? Mastered—and he transitioned at once to new applications. The Gravity Grip? Perfected—and he launched straight into the research for the Brain Seal. To Dan, success was never a destination; it was rely the starting line for the next endeavor. He never took a long hiatus as a "reward" for his triumphs.

It was this very atmosphere of perpetual advancent and relentless persistence that had profoundly shaped Hoshi. She yearned to be like him, to emulate his thodology, and to adopt his philosophy: no stopping, no idling, only constant labor toward the next objective.

Though she knew deep in her heart—with a sincere clarity—that she might never reach his level of pure, selfless dedication. Her father's fundantal nature was a rare and singular phenonon; it was nearly impossible for another to possess that sa intense obsession with progress, that quiet madness in the pursuit of perfection, and that razor-sharp resolve that never dulled under any circumstance. Such traits combined were extraordinary.

Yet, she was determined to exert every ounce of her strength to draw as close to that standard as possible, even if the peak remained just out of reach. This was especially true because the second project—the new mission he had entrusted to her—was exceptionally vital and dauntingly complex.

The objective was twofold: to significantly enhance the effectiveness and defensive power of the protective Barrier Technique, and—the most difficult part—to integrate Genjutsu properties into it. This ant the barrier would not only repel physical attacks and Chakra but would also cast powerful illusions to mislead anyone who approached. They would see things that did not exist, hear phantom sounds, or find the entire region completely hidden from their senses.

This was a layer of psychological protection rather than re physical force. Here, the difficulty multiplied exponentially. To imbue a barrier with such advanced illusory traits, Hoshi would have to study a field entirely different from the Fuinjutsu she currently mastered. She had to delve into the art of Genjutsu—the craft of deception, the hijacking of the senses, and the manipulation of the mind. Furthermore, she had to master the study of Spiritual Energy and ntal power to influence consciousness directly.

The project was multi-layered and intricate, requiring the seamless fusion of three distinct fields—Fuinjutsu, Genjutsu, and Spiritual Energy—into a single, integrated system. It was a task that would be deed near-impossible for anyone but a true prodigy.

Yet, despite the blatant difficulty and the staggering challenge, Hoshi was more than just willing; she was exhilarated. Her eyes glowed with genuine fervor. Why? Because it ant she would be forced to conquer entirely new domains of knowledge. This would broaden her intellectual foundation, making her stronger, more versatile, and more efficient. She wouldn't just be an expert in seals; she would be a master of illusions and spiritual power. Multi-skilled and comprehensive.

The thought was intoxicating.

Fortunately, she did not have to start from absolute zero. Her father had already acted as a pioneer on this long road. Over the decades, he had carved a clear path through these complex subjects. He had studied Genjutsu in great depth, even if he did not use it frequently in his personal combat style yet; his theoretical understanding was flawless. He had also mastered the study of Spiritual Energy and ntal power as a cornerstone of his Brain Seal research. All of this was docunted, written, and organized within his scrolls.

She had full access to this mountain of knowledge. It made her task vastly easier. Instead of building from nothing, she was building upon a solid foundation already laid by Dan. She was standing on the shoulders of a giant, making the ascent much more manageable.

Moreover, seeing her father's continuous work and realizing the depth of his dedication made her feel even closer to him. In her eyes, he was a magnificent figure—a silent hero who, without a single complaint or a request for praise, carried the weight of the entire family on his strong shoulders. He moved forward without ever faltering. Decades of constant labor. No real rest. Only training, research, and planning.

How could she not admire him? How could she not want to be just like him?

Thus, she would not rest. She would not be blinded by her current success. She would begin the next project imdiately, following his example and walking in his footsteps.

Dan looked at his daughter in silence, seeing the fire and persistence in her eyes. He felt a warm sensation in his chest—a hidden pride. He said nothing; he simply nodded his head. Then he turned and returned to his own training.

Hoshi did the sa, turning toward her table covered in scrolls and tools. She began to read, preparing for the next stage.

Only work. Constant. Diligent. Never-ending.

This is how greatness is built. Not by luck, nor by talent alone, but through labor, perseverance, and an unyielding resolve. Day after day, year after year, decade after decade. Without pause—at least for the Walt family.
