Chapter 1603: Chapter 109: Yin and Yang Talisman
“Did Elder Han ask you to return?”
“Did he say why?”
The cold and stern young man in black showed no change in expression, but his eyes narrowed slightly as he fixated on Gong Xiyin.
“He didn’t say.”
Gong Xiyin shook his head and then decisively handed the Sound Transmission Talisman over to the cold young man in black:
“He didn’t say anything, just told to return first.”
The young man in black did not take it. Instead, he swept it with his Spiritual Sense, his eyes relaxing slightly before narrowing again as he frowned:
“If I rember correctly, ever since I took over the position of Sect Master, he has not sought you out alone since…”
“He hasn’t approached often anyway. Typically, he only interacts with you and Wu Feng. But after your Immortal Ascension, he seems to deal with only you, even though Wu Feng and I successfully reached the Immortal Ascension stage later as well.”
Gong Xiyin shook his head and corrected him.
The two were far from ordinary individuals, having survived in the treacherous environnt of the Demon Sect to this day. Both imdiately detected sothing unusual from this simple Sound Transmission Talisman.
The young man in black pondered further and spoke with a faintly grim tone:
“I manage all sect affairs, yet he only summoned you back without involving …”
Gong Xiyin couldn’t help but joke half-heartedly:
“Could it be that he found out I’ve been cursing him behind his back?”
The young man in black didn’t laugh. His pale forehead creased slightly as he said in a low voice:
“Within the sect, apart from Elder Han, several Immortal Ascension seniors, Wu Feng, and a few others, everyone is under my jurisdiction. Elder Han has never interfered before, but this ti he bypassed completely… Xiyin, this journey seems unusual. If there’s any way to delay, it’s best to hold off for so ti.”
Hearing the rare direct revelation of the young man’s thoughts, Gong Xiyin’s playful attitude dissipated. He nodded gravely and replied, “I fear it’s impossible. You saw it yourself—the tone in this Sound Transmission Talisman leaves no room for negotiation. If I use excuses to avoid going, I fear the asures he placed on us will imdiately manifest… It’s a pity the Holy Sect isn’t like Jin’s Three Sects and One Clan, where mutual trust is seamless. Otherwise, if we joined forces with the few Immortal Ascension seniors hiding in the Dungeon, we might very well force that old dog Han to back down in this world!”
The young man in black sighed faintly at these words, lowering his voice:
“I’ve reached out to Wu Feng and the others, but they have never replied to . It seems Elder Han’s tactics have indeed worked—driving a wedge between them and . Naturally, they won’t join hands with .”
“And as for the seniors within the sect… Since Elder Han has remained inside the sect, I haven’t had the right opportunity, nor do I dare to recklessly approach them.”
His voice paused briefly before he spoke again in a solemn tone:
“If necessary, you could simply report that I’ve tasked you with another mission on Huangji Continent and ntion that you are currently unable to step away.”
“This…”
Gong Xiyin hesitated to respond:
“Will the old dog Han believe it?”
The young man in black’s expression returned to calmness as he said:
“Previously, he instructed to monitor True Martial movents at all tis. Within the Holy Sect, Wu Feng and Yang Cheng—as Immortal Ascension cultivators—follow only his orders. From all those I could rely on, you are the sole individual remaining. He has no choice but to believe.”
Hearing this, a smile spread across Gong Xiyin’s face:
“That’s excellent. I wasn’t keen to see that old dog Han anyway. I’ll respond to him with that excuse, then!”
After speaking, he retrieved an encrypted Sound Transmission Talisman, murmured a few low sentences, and sent it away.
Watching this, the young man in black hesitated briefly before patting his waist lightly.
Soon, a pitch-black treasure cauldron with four legs and twin ears swiftly erged.
It spun rapidly in mid-air.
“The Yuan Mother True Instrunt Cauldron? Lord, what are you…”
Gong Xiyin showed slight surprise.
The young man in black said nothing and directly pulled out a series of spirit materials from his sleeve, throwing them into the treasure cauldron.
He then used the Tool Master thods taught by Jiang Taiyin to cast a series of magical seals toward it.
Several days later.
Two glowing streaks erged, one falling into Gong Xiyin’s hands and the other into the hands of the young man in black.
As the radiance faded away, two seemingly simple and ordinary wooden talismans appeared.
However, Gong Xiyin’s talisman was slightly darker, while the young man’s talisman was sowhat reddish.
“What is this?”
Gong Xiyin asked with mild curiosity.
“Class IV magic treasures… though I used special thods to elevate them. They can barely be considered Class V magic treasures.”
The young man in black maintained his cold deanor, explaining calmly:
“These treasures are divided into Yin Talisman and Yang Talisman. After refining, they rge directly into your Primordial Spirit, serving two purposes. First, the Yin and Yang talismans can instantly communicate with each other. Second, at a critical mont, you can throw them out and detonate them. The power is equivalent to detonating a Class V magic treasure. Even an Immortal Ascension cultivator, if caught off guard, might suffer a crushing defeat.”
“…Equivalent to Class V?”
Hearing this, Gong Xiyin seed thoughtful before suddenly asking:
“What about Void Refining cultivators? Will it work on them?”
The young man in black fell silent for a mont, shaking his head slightly and emphasizing:
“This is ant only as a protective asure.”
Gong Xiyin chuckled softly, a trace of warmth flashing through his gaze. He raised his hand in salute:
“Thank you, Lord, for your generous gift.”
Having known each other for years, the two were rare companions who could entrust their trust to one another within the Demon Sect. Many thoughts lay unspoken but understood.
Quickly refining the black Yin Talisman, Gong Xiyin watched as it lted like flowing water, completely rging into his hand.
The young man in black also refined the red Yang Talisman.
“Lord, I’ll head to Huangji Continent now.”
Gong Xiyin wasted no ti in making his farewell.
The young man in black nodded:
“Rember, if there’s any update to the True Martial Sutra, send it to imdiately.”
