Beside them, rows of God-breaking Crossbows stood poised, inscribed with runes, the arrows glinting with an icy sharpness, seemingly ready to be fired at any mont.
In stark contrast, on this side of the gorge, the Incense Fire Dao cultivators were tense, their faces taut with anxiety, and on high alert.

Only the Mother God seed to retain a faint trace of sothing beyond re divinity, speaking in a low voice:

For one, he was surprised by how much sharper the Evil Gods had beco, capable of devising strategies akin to the clever maneuvering they had used in the past to dominate Fenglin Continent.
For another, he was contemplating whether this situation presented any opportunities for him to exploit.
As his thoughts raced, he spoke aloud to buy ti:
“The Mother God’s words are reasonable, but just recently, that senior Hui Yunzi ordered the sect gates to be sealed, seemingly planning to avoid entanglent with True Martial. Without concrete evidence, I fear convincing him will be difficult.”
