Capítulo 2398: Chapter 202: Three Swords

“Taoist Friend Deng, congratulations on reconstructing your physical body.”

“Tao Bingji has made significant progress over these years. In another three to five hundred years, he might have a chance to reach Void Refining.”

In the Yin Ruins Arena.

Wang Ba sat cross-legged in the temporary immortal cave specially prepared for him by the Yin Family, nodding as he looked at Tao Bingji and Deng Yingjue before him.

Deng Yingjue’s expression was respectful:

“It’s all thanks to you, Senior, that the Yin Family has been courteous to . Besides the cultivation materials you left behind, they’ve also supplied with plenty.”

“Yingjue is truly grateful!”

Tao Bingji also stood respectfully before Wang Ba, bowing deeply:

“If it weren’t for your guidance in the past, I fear I would have been trapped under the Nascent Soul in this lifeti, unable to break free.”

Wang Ba gently raised his hand, smiling as he stopped Tao Bingji from bowing:

“No need for that, cultivation is all about fate and opportunities. This is your destined mont, and I just happened to be there.”

“By the way, if you get the chance, ask Yunhuo Realm for … if they’re interested in rging into a Great Realm.”

As he spoke, he was subtly aware of a sensation.

He had deeply comprehended the buddhist Law of the Supre True Buddha.

Now, even unconsciously, his words carried a hint of Buddhist influence.

He proceeded to offer so more guidance.

In his previous life, Tao Bingji was rooted in Innate Divine Demons, but his understanding of the Dao Law was rather ordinary.

However, he was lucky to have encountered soone as rare across the Realm Sea as the Great Cultivator Wang Ba. Under his ticulous guidance, Tao Bingji progressed so rapidly that even so of the most talented cultivators would find it hard to compare.

Hearing that a Great Realm wanted to annex Yunhuo Realm, Tao Bingji was both surprised and delighted.

He had reincarnated many tis in Yunhuo Realm and naturally had special feelings towards it. Since Yunhuo Realm was destined for demise in the near future, having a Great Realm willing to annex it would be a good outco, and he promptly nodded in agreent.

“By the way, do you know where the Quiet Cave is?”

Wang Ba casually asked.

Tao Bingji was a bit puzzled:

“Quiet Cave… what is that?”

Wang Ba heard this and was slightly disappointed, shaking his head:

“It’s nothing, just asking.”

Tao Bingji had entered the realm and reincarnated far too long ago, even before the Quiet Cave appeared.

Expecting him to interact with the Quiet Cave seed unlikely.

While he remained calm and composed, Yin Tianzhi on the other side was worried and unsure of how to resolve the situation.

Amidst his concerns, he held a faint hope he dared not entertain.

Yin Tianzhi secretly decided that if things didn’t work out, he would simply leave Zhang’s Ruins and find another place to settle.

Ti slipped away little by little…

At the ‘Xin Gate’ of the human-shaped continent in Zhang’s Ruins, the ‘skull’ slightly cracked, as countless Chaos Origin Substance poured into it.

Deep within the Xin Gate,

a Taoist Field spanned the chasm between the skull and the calvaria, enduring the relentless washing of the surrounding Chaos Origin Substance.

Engraved on the field were two large characters:

“Laowen.”

This was where one of the eleven great forces of Zhang’s Ruins, the Laowen Sect, was located.

In the depths of the Taoist Field at that mont,

a middle-aged Taoist with slightly graying hair and a kind face sat silently in a secret chamber, with an object resembling a ‘horn’ placed in front of him. The ‘horn’ was covered in the marks of ti, filled with pits and hollows, yet it lay quietly in an extravagant, ornate treasure box.

Gazing at this ‘horn’, the middle-aged Taoist habitually sighed softly:

“The younger disciples are unworthy, possessing the Patriarch’s treasured item, yet ignorant of how to wield it…”

He subconsciously reached out to gently caress the ‘horn’, feeling the smooth warmth in his palm, but beyond that, there was no other sensation. After a sigh, as he had done countless tis before, he gently closed the treasure box.

This had always been his habit; he would always co to this quiet chamber before making major decisions to observe the relic of the Patriarch, hoping to receive so ethereal hint from the Patriarch.

But this ti, he didn’t leave as hastily as usual. Instead, his hands gently rested on the treasure box, his gaze slightly unfocused.

As if in a dream, or perhaps in reluctance:

“The Patriarch should have ascended to Mahayana and risen to The Heavens, yet why has none of the descendants been able to inherit this blessing over the years?”

“Not to ntion reaching Mahayana, even a late-stage Tribulation-Transcending cultivator has never appeared…”

“Not only us, but even the entire Zhang’s Ruins hasn’t seen a late-stage Tribulation-Transcending cultivator in countless years?”

“Why is this so?”

“Is it destiny, or just a coincidence?”

The Tribulation-Transcending Realm is the last hurdle for realm sea cultivators before Cultivation Ascension. Therefore, the difficulty of each small realm advancent is harder than previous Great Realms.

Within Zhang’s Ruins, there are many early-stage Tribulation-Transcending cultivators, a few middle-stage ones, but none at the late stage.

This status quo had persisted for a long ti.

Many reasons, including mutual balancing among families, contributed to this. Often, whenever a cultivator showed signs of breaking through to the late stage, it would attract the attacks of other factions, cutting off any opportunity for breakthrough.

However, the absence of even one late-stage cultivator in all these years inevitably sparked ideas in his mind.

“Could it be… that Zhang’s Ruins cannot accommodate late-stage Tribulation-Transcending cultivators? Is that why none of us can break through?”

This thought shook the middle-aged Taoist to his core.

If this were truly the case, how should he solve it?

Leave Zhang’s Ruins?

But if he left, where would he and the Laowen Sect go?

A genuine confusion arose in his heart:

“What exactly is Zhang’s Ruins?”

“It’s like a realm yet not like a realm… but it can shelter nurous cultivators here…”
