"These were already prepared for you, so do whatever you want with them. Don’t even ntion taking them away—hell, if you brought them ho to feed the pigs, nobody would bat an eye."
Leaning back in his chair, rubbing his belly, Li Changhe waved his big hand as he spoke.
Ji Yuan thought of the Spirit Pigs he was raising on Mist Island, and figured they didn’t deserve fruit this fine—it’d be a waste.
After Ji Yuan put away the remainder of the Spirit Fruit, Li Changhe snapped his fingers. The multi-tiered pavilion shrank and shifted, transforming into a gazebo perched atop the mountain peak.
The two n’s bodies slipped smoothly and naturally back to their original spots.
Noticing the curiosity in Ji Yuan’s eyes, Li Changhe took the initiative to explain: "The entire mountain has actually been refined into a Spiritual Artifact. Not much practical use, but it’s plenty for party tricks."
To refine a whole mountain into a Spiritual Artifact—what rank Artifact Refiner would that take...? Ji Yuan couldn’t help but ask: "So, is this artifact still controlled by sound?"
He imitated the finger-snapping gesture as he spoke.
"Ahem."
Li Changhe’s face flushed. "Of course not. That was just for show—just for show."
Ji Yuan: "..."
So you were just showing off! Here I thought it was actually voice-controlled... Ji Yuan snarked silently to himself, then changed the topic to probe about so things inside the sect.
A lot of matters were nearly impossible for outsiders to learn, but for Li Changhe, it was no different from common sense.
Take Ghost Flood Dragon Lake inside the Nine Nether Cave Heaven, for instance—outsiders wouldn’t dig up any info, but Li Changhe, after hearing Ji Yuan’s puzzlent, just spilled the beans.
"The Nine Nether Cave Heaven was originally the sect remains of Cangluo Continent’s number one sect, Shang Court. Ghost Flood Dragon Lake is its core zone. There are loads of Secret Treasures left inside. Every ti it opens, the successive Sect Leaders send disciples there to try their luck at grabbing so treasures, since those are worth way more than Foundation Establishnt Pills and such."
"So that’s how it is."
Ji Yuan nodded knowingly after hearing this.
Just then, from the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of a blue-green streak rising from a house on Li Family Island, tracing an arc above, and landing directly in the little gazebo, condensing into a rotund man in ornate robes.
Seeing his face, Ji Yuan imdiately stood, cupping his hands politely:
"Greetings, Junior Martial Uncle Duocai."
Li Gang folded one hand behind, the other rubbing his stomach, grinning: "Just call Junior Martial Uncle Li, nephew. No need for such formality."
"Understood. Greetings, Junior Martial Uncle Li."
Ji Yuan went with the flow.
Li Gang nodded, smiling: "Long River told he’d invited a friend to the family, so I specifically ca to take a look. Don’t mind , nephew—chat as you like. I’m just passing through, ha ha."
Ji Yuan knew he was putting on an act.
He also knew that Ji Yuan knew he was acting.
But still, both of them had to play along.
So Ji Yuan simply nodded in cooperation.
After the routine courtesies, Li Gang was about to leave when he seed to rember sothing. He slapped his forehead, "Oh, right! Heard you also practice our Li Family’s Sword Manual. Just so happens I’ve got an insight left behind by our ancestors. Nephew, take it and study it well—it might help in your cultivation."
Li Gang said this while channeling Spiritual Power to send over a thick book.
Ji Yuan hurried to accept it with both hands, thanking him repeatedly, bowing again and again.
Seeing Li Gang truly about to leave, Ji Yuan finally said, "Please wait, Junior Martial Uncle Li."
"Do you have anything further, nephew? Speak freely."
Li Gang swept his big hand, looking completely at ease.
"It’s like this—my master asked to bring you this."
Ji Yuan respectfully presented the Jade Scroll given by Hua Yaoyue with both hands.
Li Gang’s eyes lit up at the sight, and he instantly reached out to take it. Sweeping it with his Divine Sense, he was imdiately enlightened.
"Excellent, excellent, excellent!"
He repeated it thrice, then threw his head back and laughed three tis, his laughter echoing across Li Family Island, rumbling for a long while.
Beside him, Li Changhe, who’d been sitting, jolted up in surprise—he’d never seen his old man this happy... Damn, probably not since I was born, right?
"Nephew, please pass my regards to Senior Sister Wang You, and let her know: in a few days, I will personally visit and thank her in person."
"Yes, understood."
Ji Yuan nodded, making a ntal note.
With that, Li Gang dissolved into another blue-green flash and left the mountain peak.
Li Changhe, seeing this, couldn’t guess exactly what had happened but could tell that whatever Ji Yuan had given, for Li Gang—or the Li Family—it was surely a huge boon.
"Junior Brother Ji, thanks a ton."
Li Changhe gently swirled the Spirit Wine in his cup, then downed it in one gulp.
"Co on, Brother Li, no need to stand on ceremony."
Ji Yuan followed suit, finishing his own wine in one swig.
"Since you’re skipping the open-island celebration, let at least give you a little sothing—as a congratulation for reaching Foundation Establishnt." As Li Changhe spoke, he tossed a Talisman over.
Ji Yuan caught it reflexively and glanced at it.
Talisman Treasure!
Another Sky-Evasion Shuttle Talisman Treasure!
"This one’s brand new—haven’t used it yet. This Talisman Treasure will last you three uses." Li Changhe grinned.
He knew that if he gifted sothing else, Ji Yuan might not accept.
But give this Sky-Evasion Shuttle Talisman Treasure, Ji Yuan would absolutely take it.
As it turned out, he was right.
Holding the Talisman Treasure, Ji Yuan simply couldn’t spit out the words "I don’t want it," and after thinking it over, he could only sigh, "Thanks, Brother Li."
"Hey, co on, we’re family—you don’t need to be so formal."
Seeing Ji Yuan stow away the Talisman Treasure, Li Changhe gave a relaxed, cheerful smile.
