Things were just as Qin Feng had predicted. Although the Violent Bear Boss possessed monster-level Attack and Defense Attributes, it had an innate weakness when it ca to speed.
Even though its Agility Attribute had been significantly boosted by "Strong Body," it still couldn’t catch the swift and agile pack of Forest Wolves, let alone get close to Qin Feng, who was riding on one of their backs.
This duel.
The outco was already decided.
However, Qin Feng currently had zero experience with Mounted Archery Skills, making him unable to maintain a high-precision Aid Shot from the jolting back of a wolf.
He was like a new player in Mount & Blade II just starting a mounted archer build, having to constantly stop, dismount to fire, and then move again just to wipe out the bandits roaming the map in the early ga.
Qin Feng’s kiting skills were downright terrible.
As a result, it took him a full half-hour of constant kiting and repositioning to finally drop the Violent Bear Boss’s Life Bar below the 20% red mark.
Moreover, there was another rather troubleso issue.
The issue was that the Violent Bear Boss was already covered in wounds. Despite its severe injuries—with thick blood constantly dripping from its paws and every step plowing a crooked, bloody trail into the forest floor—it had never once shown Qin Feng any sign of surrender.
Instead, it grew even more frenzied, rampaging like a monster. It tore through the forest, relentlessly chasing the tiny human figure before it.
’A fight to the death, no surrender?’
’My luck can’t be this bad, can it?’
With that thought, Qin Feng looked up at the sky. The molten-gold sun was sinking below the treeline, dyeing half the sky in a swirling vortex of amber.
Evening mist rose from the valley like a silken veil, about to swallow the last sliver of daylight.
Nightfall.
Treading on the fading, golden twilight, it was drawing near.
’No... I can’t waste any more ti on this thing. If it doesn’t surrender before nightfall, I’ll just have to finish it off!’
Having made his decision, Qin Feng leaped from the Forest Wolf’s back. In one fluid motion, he drew his bow, nocked an arrow, and fired, shaving another dozen or so points off the Violent Bear’s Blood Volu, which was already under a hundred.
"Surrender now?"
ROAR!!!
The Violent Bear Boss responded only with a furious roar that echoed through the clouds.
At this, Qin Feng sighed helplessly. He had no choice but to mount the waiting Forest Wolf and once again put distance between them as it closed in.
Once the Forest Wolf reached a safe distance for Qin Feng to make an accurate shot,
he imdiately dismounted.
Drew his bow and fired.
Then he did it a third ti: mount up, create distance, dismount, draw and fire. Then a fourth ti...
And so it went.
He lost track of how much ti had passed.
The Violent Bear Boss’s Life Bar was finally whittled down to its last four drops of health.
By now, it no longer had the strength to give chase. It could only lie weakly collapsed on the muddy forest floor, its breath puffing out in white clouds that mixed with bloody froth to form a mist.
All around lay trees it had snapped with brute force, their broken stumps oozing a mixture of resin and bloody froth.
On the black earth that snaked into the distance, deep brown bloodstains ford a ghastly spiderweb, recording the brutal final monts of the chase.
After all,
the Violent Bear was just an Extraordinary Magical Beast born naturally in the forest.
It wasn’t one of Qin Feng’s legionnaires, nor did it have the special Shelter of a Divine Chosen Lord. Therefore, on the brink of death and severely wounded, it couldn’t maintain the Powerful mobility and top-tier combat effectiveness it possessed at its peak.
As it was now,
it was like an ordinary tiger shot in the throat with a hunting rifle.
No threat at all.
And so, Qin Feng walked up to it. He looked into its large eyes, which were filled with complex emotions, and asked in a low voice:
"Still not going to surrender?"
"If you are willing to surrender and submit yourself completely to ,"
"not only will I completely heal all your current injuries, but I can also grant you an even more Powerful Extraordinary Power than before!"
"If you die,"
"you’ll have nothing."
The Violent Bear did not respond.
But the fury and defiance churning in its eyes made its feelings clear.
’Even if my torn tendons drag my forelimbs through the mud, even if bloody froth spills from my shattered teeth, I will never bow my proud head to this enemy. I will not beco a pathetic insect, clinging to another for survival.’
’As a King!’
’I shall die as a King!’

’Well, as expected of a Powerful boss-level creature. Its stubbornness is really sothing else.’
’I’ve already put it all on the table for him.’
’And it’s still stubbornly refusing to surrender.’
’If this were that spineless Little Owl, who’s naturally afraid of death, it probably would have been crying and begging to surrender the mont its Blood Volu dropped below 50%.’
’Sigh, how can the difference between one Demon Beast and another be so huge?’
Thinking this, Qin Feng sighed in resignation. He drew the familiar dagger from his waist and gave it a light twirl in his palm.
Then, with a gaze full of respect, he looked straight at the imnse Violent Bear Boss before him, preparing to deliver the final blow and put it out of its misery.
Unexpectedly, however, that ever-cowardly Little Owl suddenly dropped from the sky like a withered leaf. It landed beside the Violent Bear Boss’s ear and quickly whispered sothing to it with a series of soft coos, as faint as a mosquito’s buzz.
Instantly, a miracle occurred.
