From the shadows of the Northern Forest, dense swarms of Skaven Ratn suddenly poured out, sweeping forward like a black tide and catching the Holy Knight Order—tasked with pursuing the Undead Legion—completely by surprise!
These Ratn were hunched over, their gray-black fur matted with rotten mud and bloodstains. With fangs bared, their crimson eyes burned with madness.
Their weapons were a motley assortnt, yet each one exuded a deadly, bizarre power.
So clutched Poisoned Bone Spears, their tips dripping with a dark green venom that sizzled and bubbled upon contact with armor.
Others shouldered rusty, short-handled great-axes, their blades embedded with jagged bone fragnts. When swung, they were shrouded in a chaotic, dark red glow, capable of shattering Holy Silver Armor with brute force.
Still others had Poisonous Fog Rat Pouches hanging from their waists, which they casually threw to create explosions of green, toxic fog that inflicted a "Corruption" debuff on contact.
Their attacks were completely chaotic. They sward together, hacking wildly, clawing madly at the gaps in armor, and scrambling up the legs of warhorses. They looked clumsy and foolish, yet every strike dealt a startling amount of damage.
What was even more deadly was the Cursed Aura swirling around these Ratman creatures. Compounded by the slowing and corrosive effects of their weapons, the Holy Knights' Blood Volu dropped frantically whenever they got close. The golden glow of the Holy Light Technique would flare up only to be instantly suppressed by a chilling energy. Their health bars could never be fully refilled, and they could only watch helplessly as their Life Force drained away.
The most maddening part was that these Ratn would occasionally trigger an Invincible effect, causing a dark golden shield to appear around them.
One Holy Knight roared and swung his Holy Knight Sword. The sharp blade struck the shield with a sharp CLANG, and the rebound sent a numbing shock through his hand.
Another Holy Knight gathered all his Divine Energy and unleashed Divine Judgnt. A dazzling golden light blasted the Ratman, but it only created a faint ripple on the shield, not even singeing a single hair.
They hacked and stabbed repeatedly, even ganging up to focus their attacks, but no matter how fierce their assault, it was all uselessly deflected by the Ratn's Invincible shields.
At the sa ti, the damage from the Curse ticked away relentlessly, and the venom on their armor continued its corrosive work. Everyone's health bars plumted like punctured waterskins. The small amount of Blood Volu they managed to restore with the Holy Light Technique was instantly devoured by the dual drain effects.
Seeing this, the faces of the Holy Knights filled with terror and despair. The hands gripping their weapons began to tremble. Their once-high morale was crumbling bit by bit under the bizarre, grinding pressure of an enemy they couldn't damage, couldn't kill, and that was constantly draining their health.
However, this tragic battle scene in the Northern Forest was being watched with perfect clarity by John, who was stationed in the fortress in the Northern Territory, busy reinforcing its defensive lines. He was observing it all through the treasure known as the Eye of All-Seeing.
He clenched his fists tightly, his pupils contracting. His voice was filled with incredulous shock:
"A Divine Gift Ratman Legion!?"
"The enemy was hiding such a terrifying force in reserve!?"
Watching the unstoppable performance of the Ratn in the vision, John's voice began to tremble, filled with horror and alarm:
"Such terrifying power!"
"Incredibly agile Flashes, shields that grant invincibility when triggered, and a Curse that continuously drains Maximum Life Value!"
"All sorts of uncleansable corrosion and slowing debuffs... you can't damage them, you can't kill them, and they can even summon endless reinforcents... What the hell are these things!?"
He slamd his fist on the table, a grave expression on his face. The pursuit he thought was a guaranteed victory had turned into such a one-sided slaughter.
'At this rate,' John realized with sudden clarity, 'the Holy Knight Order under my command is going to be completely wiped out in the Northern Forest.'
But his face showed little panic.
Because... this wasn't a major problem.
This ten-thousand-strong Holy Knight Order had been the bait he'd laid out from the very beginning.
Their true mission was never to pursue and annihilate the Undead Legion, but to deliberately feign weakness and lure out Qin Feng's other hidden, powerful Divine Chosen Legions.
Once the enemy's reinforcents appeared, the Flying troops, already hidden and waiting in the Northern Territory's fortress, would imdiately mobilize. They would rush to the battlefield at top speed, executing a pincer attack on the Undead Legion and the Skaven Ratman Legion to annihilate both of these major threats at once!
One could only say that John's plan to bait the enemy was perfect; it had achieved its intended outco completely.
Qin Feng's Divine Gift Ratman Legion, hidden in the shadows, had been successfully lured out by the bait and was now exposed.
Now that everything was ready, a ruthless glint flashed in John's eyes as he raised his hand and slamd it on the table.
"Relay my orders!"
"All Flying units, take to the sky! The ground Cavalry legions will follow close behind! Target: the Northern Forest!"
As soon as his voice fell, atop the walls of the Northern Territory's fortress, hundreds of thousands of Holy Light Warhawks suddenly spread their wings. Their golden wings tore across the sky, and they raced toward the battlefield with a piercing shriek.
The fortress gates bood open. Hundreds of thousands of Cavalry clad in Enchanted Heavy Armor marched out in neat formations, their steps shaking the very earth. With lances like a forest of steel and Battle Banners fluttering, they charged toward the Northern Forest, radiating killing intent.
They had to take advantage of the mont while the enemy was still entangled with the Holy Knight Order. With lightning speed, they would form an encirclent and annihilate the Divine Gift Ratman Legion and the Undead Legion together, eliminating the threat for good!
Unfortunately for John, his clever sche had been completely anticipated by Qin Feng.
From the very beginning, he had guessed that the Eagle Country players would resort to a "bait and encircle" tactic. This was the core reason why he had sent only the Skaven Ratman Legion as reinforcents.
After all, the Skaven Ratn "replicas" were top-tier cannon fodder with no Summoning cost. He wouldn't feel the slightest pain no matter how many of them died.
At this very mont, Qin Feng was using the shared Field of View linked to the original Skaven Ratn to monitor the movents of the Northern Territory's fortress in real ti.
