The next morning, the Gillette Household’s main cathedral.
Sebastian looked disappointed as he looked at Duke Benjamin, he acted like the Head of the Household and blad: "Duke Benjamin, how did you clean up the area for the entrance competition? You didn’t even notice an above silver rank spawned beast? If you can’t even take care of a little matter like this, I’m afraid there’s no use for you to keep being a Duke!"
Duke Benjamin was responsible for this matter and he had no clue why there would be a sudden appearance of an above silver rank spawned beast.
This was a matter that Sebastian had grasped onto to ridicule him so Benjamin couldn’t even raise his head. After all, this was truly considered his negligence.
Fargo had a sneer on his face and used this opportunity to add: "Benjamin, for the Raging Fire Bull to enter the entrance competition area, this is equivalent to a wolf entering a sheep pen. For such a big flaw to appear, I bet the parents of the junior mbers wouldn’t be letting this go away just like that. The image of our Gillette Household in Eden City will also greatly weaken so I think you should just resign your position as a Duke."
Benjamin’s eyes tightened, and he lightly replied, "When I cleared the area, I definitely did not find any traces of the Raging Fire Bull. There’s bound to be accidents in Eden so you can’t just put all the bla on ."
Fargo coldly roared in anger: "If we don’t bla you, should we bla ourselves? You’re still shirking responsibility at this ti, are you even thinking of shouldering this?"
"If it was my fault, I of course would be shouldering the responsibility."
"But we still don’t know if this is my fault or not so I’m not shouldering a single portion. You want to resign my position as a Duke? Stop dreaming! No one has the right to force . Sebastian, don’t forget your current status. You are only an Interim Lord so you don’t have that power." Said Benjamin in an agitated manner.
The word Interim made Sebastian’s expression change, and the corner of his eyes unconsciously twitched. "Enough arguing."
"No one wanted to see the Raging Fire Bull charge into the entrance competition area. The first thing we need to do is to get it to leave the area or else it might be too late."
"The words of Sebastian are right; we should quickly have the junior mbers leave the area."
Sebastian’s eyes changed as he stood up and shouted majestically: "That won’t do, the entrance competition is originally a ga to eliminate the weak. This world is where only the strong survive, so this sudden change will be considered a more comprehensive test for them."
"You’re obviously not worried because your son’s at level 3 Bronze rank strength and it’s enough for him to escape danger, but what about the others?"
"Sebastian, you should look at the bigger picture for this matter. They are all the hopes of our Gillette Household and your son is there too. What if..."
"Humph..." Sebastian gave a low humph before lightly saying: "Duke Collin, Duke Mario, I’m worried too since my son is there. But you guys shouldn’t forget our Household rule: Within the three days of the hunting contest, no one is allowed to interfere with it whatsoever. Even if a God rank spawned beast appears, we still cannot interfere. Unless you guys want to violate the Household rules?"
Violating the Household rule is considered a big cri. And once that happens, Sebastian would have sothing to hold above their heads so by that ti, who would dare compete with him for the Lord’s position?
The appearance of the Raging Fire Bull made Sebastian want to chuckle to himself; the bull was the best catalyst for his plans.
As for Gregory, he believes his son will definitely make a breakthrough to level 2 bronze rank with the help of the Upgrade elent – that amount of strength was fully enough to protect himself. Not to ntion there’s Michael by his side, so there’s no way the Raging Fire Bull can harm Gregory at all.
As for Collin’s and Mario’s sons, they...
"Hahaha... A man of great ambitions can’t be bothered with the trifles. Maxwell has to die. Collin’s and Mario’s sons also need to die. Let’s see what speciality they’ll have to fight with then... hahaha." Sebastian laughed inwardly in his heart before saying to himself: "Seems the heavens are on my side!"
The Gillette Household was now rotten to the bones!
---
"How? They’re dead!"
"Those two scumbags, they couldn’t even accomplish a simple task!" Gregory said in disdain. It was clear he didn’t even care about the deaths of Calvin and Michael.
After a short while, Gregory then asked: "That bastard Maxwell, have you guys found him yet?"
A mber of the Gillette Household imdiately replied: "Responding to young Sir. We’ve found him. He’s halfway up to the peak to the west, which is about 50 kilotres from here. And also..."
Gregory interrupted hurriedly. "Also what?"
The Gillette Household mber continued: "Lady Gwendolyn is also with him."
"With who?" Gregory’s eyes changed as he roared out.
"Together with Maxwell..."
"You little bastard, you dare to make a move towards my girl? Today, we’re not going to hunt spawned beasts anymore; we’re going to kill you first!" Gregory’s eyes started exuding killing intent.
"Sir, there’s a very powerful Spawned beast up in the west. We..."
"Slap!" Gregory slapped the mber and then kicked him before cursing: "As if I’m scared of so beast."
Upon knowing that Gwendolyn was together with Maxwell, his anger had already reached unprecedented levels. Recalling back to the ti in the valley when those two were all touchy-feely towards each other, he started cursing in his heart: "You cheap slut, I’ll be coming for my prize."
After hunting all afternoon yesterday and last night, his zero storage space already had over a hundred spawned beast heads. There were also a lot of people helping him kill those beasts right now so the first place for this hunting contest would definitely be his.
Furthermore, while fighting yesterday, he made a level up and was already at the strength of a level 2 bronze rank. This ant he had accomplished half his goal of joining the entrance competition now.
The other half of his goals was to get rid of Maxwell and then push down Gwendolyn to get on top of her!
Thinking of Gwendolyn’s seductive figure, Gregory couldn’t help swallowing back down his saliva. His lips curved into a perverted and evil smile, and he said to himself, "I’ll definitely enjoy every bit of today."
Imdiately after, Gregory yelled in a low tone: "Move out!"
Eight Gillette Household mbers gathered behind Gregory before they rapidly dashed towards the west.
Not far away from this group, Larry was following behind them through the gloomy forest while cautiously paying attention to his surroundings.
---
The loud noise resounded through the heavens while spawned beasts scattered in different directions. Maxwell and his company were keeping their distance from the Raging Fire Bull while taking advantage of the situation.
A below bronze rank spawned beast was completely helpless in front of an above silver rank demonic beast so they could only run away with their lives on the line.
This gave Maxwell an ultimate opportunity to hunt. He didn’t have to search all over for spawned beasts since they would run directly towards him while trying to get away. And these spawned beasts had no way of fighting back and were similar to fish jumping onto the shore.
"Crackle!"
"Congratulations to Player Maxwell Gillette for killing a tal Skinned Boar."
"Reward: 200 XP, 20 mana."
"Maxwell, there’s another one there. Look out!"
Gwendolyn waved her sword and flicked a spawned beast into the air allowing it to land in front of Maxwell. Maxwell then followed through by smashing his fist down onto it. "Bam!"
The spawned beast died and the System gave out a notification sound."
"Here, another one!"
"Watch..."
Gwendolyn kept hurling spawned beasts over and Maxwell flawlessly received them. He was very busy but happy at the sa ti because the speed he was progressing was just too amazing. The XP bar could be seen continuously increasing with the naked eye. After two hours of killing, he was only about 10 per cent away from being a level 3 bronze rank.
This speed was too fast. He was going to level up in less than thirty minutes.
Maxwell would toss the spawned beasts he had killed towards Constantine who was drenched in blood. "Constantine, can you hurry it up? Don’t waste so much of these spawned beasts."
Constantine had just finished sucking dry the blood mana of a spawned beast and a faint red light shone on his bald head. On the back of his head were so vein lines that briefly flashed as well before disappearing.
Constantine didn’t notice any abnormality as he scratched his head, "Okay Sir!"
"Thud!" Another round of intense footsteps was heard. Maxwell’s eyes narrowed and he yelled in reminder: "Watch your distance, don’t let it find us."
"I know." Gwendolyn had a smile in her heart as she sweetly said to herself: "Maxwell is worried about ; he really is worried about , hehehe..."
Maxwell watched Gwendolyn lightly smile before he mumbled to himself: "What is she thinking about? I only told her to watch out so is there a need to be that happy about it?"
"But this girl is really attractive when she smiles!"
In another area close by, Gregory started grinding his teeth upon seeing this scene. He waved his right hand and viciously said: "Begin!"
