Lord Of Puppets Chapter 108 – Golem Forest Assault – Second Try – Part 3

(Hm.... Things are not really going in my favor.) – thought Thauma who was observing the fight through the scout golems who was hiding high above amongst the tree branches.

(They are sowhat dominating the fight.... And there is a lot of soldiers here as well.... But there is sothing off about so of them.)

(Their equipnt.... They are not soldiers.)

(They are adventurers, are they not?)

(So that was their strategy? Call upon adventures for aid?)

(But why are they not going all out? I can tell that there are still so people in their new camp.... And even though I can’t exactly get a good look, I can sowhat tell that there is a lot of things moving around there.... That ans that there could be a lot of people in there.)

(Are they like reserves? Or maybe they are making sure that the soldiers outside have either resting place or an escape path?)

(There are also these people.) – thought Thauma as it stared at the knights and adventurers fighting the giant knight golems.

(They are strong.... And that person here... He matched the description that the prisoners gave .)

(New general of Garmfon kingdom.)

(Gustav Chariot.)

(And the knights around him have different looking armor, alongside being beastman.... They are his elite personal knights: Wolf Knights.)

(But what about the other? The adventurers that they are fighting side by side with.)

"Keep going! Its right leg is almost finished!"

"Keep him occupied! I’m about to charge up a spell!"

"Hey! I know I can’t really set him on fire, but can I blind him with fire at least?! Will that give you opening?!"

(They are strong... Stronger than other soldiers and adventurers.)

(Are they by any chance C ranks?)

(Every single one of them have enough firepower to damage the giant knights.)

(And this isn’t normal.)

(They maybe made out of the sa iron as other golems, but I’ve enchanted their entire structure, body parts and everything with anything I could, be it alchemy or art of manipulating mana.)

(They should be bit more durable than iron golem knights.... And yet they are still taking a lot of damage?)

(By the looks of things C ranks adventurers are truly a problematic opponents for .)

(But.... They are humans.)

(They can bleed, they can snap their bones or just die instantly when one of their vital spots is destroyed.)

(So all I need to do is to play it smart.)

"There!" – shouted the adventurer with a spiked ball as he once again threw his weapon at the giant, hitting it right in the side of the knee.... Which ended up finally stacking enough damage for the golem knee to give up and not work properly, causing the golem to instantly got on one of its knees.

"WE GOT ONE OF ITS LEGS! KEEP OTHER TWO BUSY WHILE THE REST OF US GO AND FINISH OFF THIS ONE!" – shouted Adam as he led the knights against injured golem, while the rest of adventurers focused on keeping the other two giants from reuniting with their fallen brethren.

The giant golem swung around its blade sword around, trying to cut down the soldiers around it, but because of its injured leg, the giant golem’s movents ended up becoming slower, giving better chance for the knights to dodge the giant’s attack, before then quickly landing their own counters.

However, even though it couldn’t move properly, it was still wielding a massive blade, which did made things problematic for the knights as so of them were hit by it.

"IDIOTS! ONLY ITS LEGS CAN’T MOVE PROPERLY! IT CAN STILL SWING AROUND!" – shouted the beastman general as he quickly got behind the giant and quickly struck its other knee from behind, damaging it, but not wrecking it enough.

"Attack the other leg! Take away all of its mobility!" – shouted the general as he quickly backed away in order to dodge the giant blade.

(This is good.... NO! PERFECT!) – thought the general as he continues fighting the giant golem alongside his wolf knights and adventurer Adam.

(True, this bastard maybe able to take up beating, but they are slowly reaching their limit!)

(If it wasn’t for their monster like power behind those blades, I wouldn’t consider them too dangerous.... Then again, they maybe the leaders.)

(Sothing needs to be commanding these things and they maybe the ones that acts as their leader.)

(Taking down these giants may also end up boosting our own soldiers’ morals.) – thought the beastman general as the giant tried attacking left and right with its giant blades, trying to attack that was anywhere near it.... But right as it was in the middle of the rampage, the spike ball had once again flew and struck the giant in the head, distracting the golem for a mont, which gave the general enough ti to once again strike the golem knee and finally managing to stack up enough damage to cause the second golem’s knee to give up, making then golem fall down on both of its knees.

"!"

"Its down! He can’t move from his spot anymore!" – shouted the general as all the knights concentrated their attacks instantly, unleashing their weapon arts.

The giant golem tallic body bended and tore off with each new strike landed, straight up just destroying the golem right on the spot as the damage stacked up so much that not its entire body had hard ti even moving around.

"IT IS ALMOST FINSISHED! KEEP IT UP!" – shouted the general as the knights went for the one last push, trying to eliminate the giant golem, who was already at their death’s doors.

However, right as they went for the finisher, sothing dropped on top of one of the knights’ heads.

"?"

"The hell is this?" – said the knight right next to the man that had sothing like a ball on top of him.

And in the very next mont, several other spheres like object dropped from above, all around the soldiers and knights that were fighting the giants.

"?!"

(What are those?!) – thought the general who without hesitation tried cutting down the unknown object with his axe.... But before he could, all the sphere that just dropped down blew up, unleashing a living hell on everybody in vicinity.

Instantly, everybody was blown up.

Soldiers, knights, adventurers and even so golems.

Anybody that was anywhere near the giants or the group fighting them has ended up being swallowed by explosions.

"?!"

"W-what the hell just happened?!" – said confused and scared soldier as he could see and hear explosions going off in a distance.

"..."

"..."

"W-what...."

(What just happened?) – thought the beastman general who was lying on the ground and had right eye being completely destroyed.

The beastman tried getting up after getting blasted from explosions, only to then imdiately stop as the pain surged through his entire body.

(What the hell happened? Explosions?) – the man tried enduring the pain as gotten up and looked around, noticing that he was surrounded by the clouds of dust and smoke that was left behind by the explosions.

(So weird things fallen down.... And then they exploded.... I think?)

(Did sobody dropped bombs from top of us?)

"Hey!" – shouted general.

"Anybody?! Are you alive!?"

"Ugh."

"?!"

General could hear sobody nearby, instantly causing the man to rush to whoever was making that sound.... Which ended up making general discover a fallen knight.

"Hey! Are you alright!?" – asked worried general as he gotten on his knees despise the pain and tried to wake up the fallen knight.

"....G....General?" – said the knight as he regained his consciousness.

"What....What happened?"

"I....I don’t know..." – said the general.

"But we need to-"

"BEHIND YOU!" – shouted the fallen knight suddenly, alarming the general who even before could do anything was struck from the side with a giant blade, shattering the man’s armor and snapping his bones, before then sending the beastman general flying.

"UGH!?"

The beastman general coughed out blood after being knocked right into the tree.

(W-what?) – the beastman general tried standing up once again.... Only to realize that not only his side was damage from the strike, but also his entire left arm was cut hallway through, straight up butchering the arm and making it completely useless as the man bled heavily out of it.

(Ah....This isn’t good.) – thought the beastman general as he noticed how fast he was losing blood.... And he also noticed a looming giant, slowly approaching the beastman, who then swung its giant blade at him, forcing the beastman to roll dodge the attack ended up cutting down a tree.

"H-hey! Anybody! Are you still alive?!" – shouted the beastman general who was coughing out blood from his mouth, before then noticing the giant still being locked on the beastman as it tried attacking him, forcing the injured beastman to run away.

(Fuck! Were they killed?! Were they knocked out?! I can’t tell!) – thought the beastman who tried stopping his arm from bleeding by grabbing it with his hand.... Only to then realize that it wasn’t working.

(Fuck! My arm is barely hanging! I can’t use it.) – thought the beastman who tried looking behind him, noticing just in ti the giant thrusting its blade forward, which ended up allowing the beastman just in ti changing his direction, dodging the attack.

However, right as the man turned around his head, he ended up running straight into a tree head first at full power, which ended up knocking the man off to the ground.

"F-fuck!" – the man tried getting up in hurry once again.... Only to then notice sothing on top of the tree he just bashed into.

Sothing.... Weird....

Sothing resembling a monkey with a giant single gem like eye.

Before the man could even process what that creature was.... He ended up spotting 3 more sphere like objects dropping from the sa tree, which ended up terrifying the beastman as he tried quickly jumping to the side as the spheres blew up, hitting the beastman from behind.

(Who -WHAT!?)

(Was that the thing that was dropping these bombs?!) – the beastman who was once again flat on the ground had tried getting up with his injured body.... Only to then realize that an enormous shadow covered his entire body.... Filling the beastman with dread and fear.

Before the beastman could even roll to dodge or look behind himself.... It was too late.

A giant blade descended down from above, stabbing and penetrating the man’s whole body from behind.

"..."

(Enemy general. Eliminated.) – thought Thauma as it observed through its scout golems as the beastman general breath his last, before then finally stopping moving.

(Continue the extermination.)

(Exterminate the entire hostile army.)
