Lord Of Puppets Chapter 137 – Dungeon Raid – Part 8

(Well, at this rate the final wave of monsters will do nothing to them.) – thought Thauma as it observed the adventurers.

(At the rate things are going, they will easily destroy them and just get here.)

(Still.... I was observing them.)

(Learning their strong points.)

(And possible weak points.)

(Still.... A head on fight won’t be easy.)

(Not only they have numbers, but these B-rank adventurers alone are far too dangerous for to handle.)

(Just facing one of them will be a challenge, but I will end having to face all 3? While they are also at almost peak condition?)

(There are also other adventurers.)

(From what I observed, all of the adventurers that have entered the dungeon were mostly C-ranks.)

(On the other hand, a large group of adventurers have also gathered right outside the entrance of the dungeon, preparing sothing.)

(I guess this correctly, these D-ranks are preparing to raid the dungeon just in case.... And the reason why they haven’t gone it were either because they were scared or they were aware of the fact that too many people would get in each other way.)

(Anyway, there are only 3 B-ranks in the dungeon... But that doesn’t an C-ranks are sothing I can look down upon.)

(They have enough power to wound my golems and quantity.... If I look down on them, the damage will stack up before I realize it and I will die.)

(They are as equally as dangerous as trio of B-ranks.)

(Quality and quantity.)

(Enemy has both of these things.)

(Maybe they will think that they have dealt with all the monsters?)

(It could make them lower their guards, only by a little bit.... But that little bit maybe enough.) – thought Thauma as it finished giving new orders to the monsters, before then itself leaving the core room and locking up the door it.

Upon properly locking up the door, Thauma began walking through the corridor, before then entering a wide room where a giant figure sitting on the throne, covered in cloth was located, while being guarded by the pair of giant knight golems – version 1.

Thauma completely ignored the golems and walked across the room, before then reaching a wall.

The dungeon master puts its hands on the wall and pressed four different bricks at the sa ti, causing so sort of chanism to trigger, which caused a wall itself to open up like a pair of doors, revealing a hidden passage to the dungeon master.

The puppet creature without even wasting a second entered the passage, before then pulling a leaver that was inside of it, which caused the path to closed up behind the dungeon master.

"..."

(That man back then.) – thought the golem as it started walking though the hidden path, before then slowly gaining up speed, walking at fast pace.

(He was able to detect my golems back then, even though the golems were perfectly hidden.) – thought Thauma as it rembers the beastman general.

([Mana Detection], maybe spell... Or maybe so other form of skill was used.)

(But this path wasn’t made with magic.)

(It was mostly using made "technology".)

(Just like the crossbow traps.)

(They were fully chanical and not magical in nature.)

(Thanks to that, to that the invaders should realize that there is a hidden path, even if they tried detecting the mana.)

(And thanks to that, they won’t even notice coming.)

(Still, just simple ambush won’t do. I need to be specific.)

(I doubt I will be able to ambush the B-rank adventures, because of that man with the axes.)

(So, the only way I can ambush them would be from their rear.) – thought Thauma as began approaching the end of the path.

(And this is perfect.) – thought Thauma as it pulled the lever, causing the hidden path to open up.

"?"

"Did you heard sothing?" – said adventurer.

(Since if I want to destroy the enemy, I will have to make sure that their rear is completely removed out of the picture.) – thought Thauma as the golem entered the main corridor of the third floor.

"?!"

"WAIT! THE FUCK!?" – however, as Thauma entered the main corridor, it ended up coming across a group of adventurers who saw the creature walking out of the secret passage.

Before anybody could even do anything, Thauma put its hand against a wall and used earth magic, manipulating earth and causing a small pillar of earth appear on the other side of the wall, which then pressed sothing.

And right in the very next mont, two holes opened up in the celling, before monts later tallic walls slide down, locking down the entire part of the corridor.

"!?"

"Wait!? The fuck is going on?!" - shouted the adventurer at the front of the group as the entire group’s path was completely sealed off.

"HEY! WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON HERE?!" – shouted the man from behind.

"WHY THE HELL THERE IS A MONSTERE HERE?!" – shouted the adventurer, instantly alarming the second group.

"..."

(There is total of 77 enemies.) – thought the puppet as it turned around.

(Minus one. aning 76.)

(To make sure that they wouldn’t get in each other way, the enemy split into two groups.)

(One group at the front being probably the main group.)

(And the second is probably a support group.)

(They barely did anything, but that doesn’t an I can just leave them be.)

(Before I deal with the main force. I have to kill these people first!) – thought Thauma as it rushed at the adventurers, while they were still extrely confused by the situation

"!"

"INCOMING!" – shouted the archer who instantly fired his arrow at the creature.... Which just straight up bounced off the golem body.

"Eh?" – the archer was completely caught off guard by his arrow just bouncing off, but before the man would get another chance, Thauma instantly closed up the distance and thrusted forward its arm, impaling the man right through the man chest, before then just tossing aside the slain foe.

"?!"

"Fuck! HEY! HEY! MONSTERS!" – shouted another archer fired an arrow at close range at the creature... Only for it to also end up doing straight up nothing to the golem as it then grabbed the man by his head and smashed it against the ground, opening it up.

"{Rage and strike like a wave! [Water Blast]}!" – a mage finished up his chant and fired off a blast of water, hitting the golem.... But again, the golem jus tanked the attack as it then rushed at the man, trying to stab it with its claws.

"{Protect us from danger: [Arcane Wall]}!" – however, right as it was about to impale the mage, a second mage quickly rushed in and deployed her barrier, blocking and saving the mage.

"..."

[Enchantnt: Weapon] [Enchantnt: Strength] [Enchantnt: Strike]

And in response to its attack being blocked, Thauma instantly unleashed triple enchantnt spells at one of its claws, powering up the arm power, strength and the claws own performance, before then thrusting once again its claws, this ti breaking through the barrier and stabbing the female mage right through her face, killing her instantly in a single motion.

"!"

"NO!" – shouted the male mage in despair, before then having his neck sliced in half by the golem’s claws, before then knocking away the man with a fist, letting him just bleed out to death as the golem began running towards other adventures.

However, right before it could do it, a swordman quickly rushed at the golem and tried attacking the puppet.

But in response to that, the puppet just used both of its arms to catch the edge of the blade, stopping it in place.

"?!"

(I can’t move?!) – thought the man as he realized his blade was completely locked in place.

The man tried letting go of his blade and retreat, but the golem grabbed the by his arm pulled him closer, before then grabbing his torso and head.

*Crack*

And just snapping his neck as it then dropped the man corpse on the ground, before then also stealing his sword.

"Shit! What the hell is this thing!" – said the heavily armored adventurer quickly stepped forward alongside 2 other heavily armored adventurers that ford up a wall.

(This was quick.) – thought Thauma.

(I’ve thought it would them bit longer to recover from the surprise attack.) – thought the golem as it stopped in place and put its arms on the ground.

"?"

"What is that thing doing?" – asked a party tank who did not noticed a ground behind him and other tanks acting up.

[Earth Magic: Earth Blade]

Three sharp blades made out of pure earth suddenly sprouted and extended straight into the tanks’ backs, stabbing them and piercing their bodies.

"AAAAAAAAA!" – the tanks scread in pain as the puppet instantly ran straight at them and quickly landed two solid punches in the man on right and left faces, while also using its two other hands to grab the middle man head and just jab its eyes with its thumbs, fallowed up with the creature then brutally finishing off the man.

The golem instantly turned towards the two tanks that and tried also fishing them off, but before it could do it, a pair of warriors wielding a spear and axe attacked the golem, trying to stop the creature.... But it just grabbed both of the weapons in place with two pairs of arms and got ready to use the last pair of arms to finish off the warriors.

"GET BACK!" – shouted the voice behind the warriors, which alard Thauma as it let to go of the weapons, letting duo of adventurers go as a giant sphere of fire ca flying, hitting the creature.... Or so they had thought.

[Earth Magic: Earth Wall]

"H-hey! HEY!" – shouted panicking mage as the two tanks were being healed by the supporters.

"THAT THING IS USING MAGIC!?"

"W-what the hell do you an magic?! Those things shouldn’t be able to.... Should they?" – said the archer as the earthly wall crumbled.

"..."

(Wasting too much mana at this point could prove fatal later on.)

(It is for the best if I stick to close combat.)

(Enemies.)

(3 tanks.)

(6 warriors.)

(3 rouges.)

(4 archers.)

(2 mages.)

(2 supports.)

(6 dead. 20 remaining.)

(Calculation.)

(Possible.) – thought the golem, before then rushing at the adventurers.

"..."

"Say.... Aren’t you bit nervous about this?" – asked the young man carrying supplies in his backpack who was part of the main group that was about to reach doors leading to the ’dungeon master boos room’.

"Hm? Why should I?" – asked middle aged man carrying supplies.

"I-I an! This is dungeon master room! Right!?" – asked the young man as the adventurers were finishing up their preparation in front of the giant doors.

"...."

"Oh! You are that new guy!" – said the middle-aged man.

"Relax! Relax! There shouldn’t be any problem for us, the supply squad.

"...."

"I think."

"?!"

"You think!?" – said the young man as he got even more nervous.

"Relax. We are staying in the back and everything, since we are guys carrying supplies and loot."

"These guys needs to protect us, since we have supplies and we carry the loot."

"Still, if there are stuff like explosives just like that muscle guy warned us about, then maybe we should keep our distance as far as possible."

"!"

"Oh, it seems they are starting." – said the middle aged man as the adventurers opened up the door and began entering the room.

"Anyway.... And where the fuck are these bastards?!"

"You an the second group?!" – asked a young man.

"Yea! Those guys! I an, I know they are here just in case, but they straight up fucking did nothing this entire ti! They could at least carry so of the stuff

"?"

(What was that?) – thought the man as he suddenly heard coming from behind, causing the man to turn around.

[Earth Magic: Stone Bullet Barrage]

However, right as the man turned around, a hail of rocks ca his and other carriers’ way, hitting and piercing the carriers’ body, which ended up killing so of them instantly on the spot.

"!?"

"W-what?!" – said the young man as he was knocked down on the ground, thanks to his supply filled backpack absorbing the impact.

The young man tried to get up... Only to then see the man he was just talking about, dead with a rock sticking right out of his face.

"Ah....Ah...."

"AAAAAAAAAAAA!"

"?!"

(What was that?!) – thought Oscar as he and several other backliners suddenly heard screaming coming from behind.

So of the adventures quickly rushed over to see what was going on.... And discovering the massacre.

"H-help!" – said the young man as he tried crawling towards adventurers.

"Wait?! What the fuck?!" – said the young man, before monts later a fist sized rock ca his way and pierced right through his face, smashing it and killing the man on the spot.

"!"

(Attack?!) – thought panicking Oscar as he then saw another barrage of stone projectiles coming his way, alarming the young man who in hurry tried to cast [Arcane Barrier] to protect himself.... However, he couldn’t deploy his barrier properly in such short notice, causing the barrier to get quickly destroyed by the hail of projectiles, before then smashing right into the man arm as he could feel his bones cracking from the impact.

"!?"

"Hey, hey, hey, hey!" – said Oscar as he tried backing away.

"What the fuck is this thing?!"

"THE FUCK IS THIS THING!?" – shouted Oscar as he and other backliners saw a humanoid creature approaching the group.

The humanoid creature in question was a being made out of tal, which was noticeable taller than average human.

It was equipped with 3 pair of arms, which posses deadly set of fingered claws as well as 2 sets of eyes on its face.

The bizarre creature that the adventurers never seen before obviously alard them.... But what truly terrified them was the fact that the creature entire body was painted with blood, with its limbs being completely drenched in it.

"?!"

"Monster?! But we wiped out everything!" – said beastman archer as the creature was approaching the adventurers, before then speeding up and starting to run.

"!"

"FUCK! SHOOT IT! SHOOT IT!" – shouted panicking beastman as trio of archers began unleashing their arrows at Thauma, who in response to that just used its arms to raise up its guard, easily blocking the arrows with its tallic body as the creature continued running at full speed.

"{Fire Ball}!" – however the archers weren’t alone as a mage unleashed his sphere of fire at the creature, hitting with sphere of flas that burst upon impact.... But did nothing to stop or even slow down the creature.

"!?"

"It just took it head on?!" – said panicking mage.

"Shit! Just fire! Fire at it!" – said the archer as the backliners continued firing at the running golem that was getting closer and closer.

"{Thunder Sphere}!" - however, Oscar wasn’t out of the fight as he was charging up his spell, unleashing a sphere thunder at Thauma.

But in response to that, the monster stopped just in place and placed its arms against the floor.

[Earth Magic: Earth Wall]

A wall of earth sprouted from the ground and t head on the sphere of thunder, which exploded on the impact.... And not harming the dungeon master that hid behind the wall.

"..."

"Did.... Did that thing just used magic?!" – said Oscar as he was instantly filled up with fear and confusion.

(That was {Earth Wall}, wasn’t it!?) – thought the man as he panicked.

(But how?! Does thing shouldn’t-)

[Earth Magic: Stone Bullet]

The mage was still completely shocked and confused on what just happened, but the puppet did not showed any rcy whatsoever as it fire off a fist sized stone bullet at the mage at alarming speed, terrifying the mage that instantly tried deploying his barrier, but he was too late to regain his composure as the bullet hit him right in his hand that held the staff, breaking his finger and the wooden staff itself.

"?!"

"AAAAA!" – Oscar scread in pain as his entire hand heavily damaged and broken, even missing one of his fingers upon receiving the hit.

"!"

"Oscar?!" – said Adam as he recognized Osar screams.

The frontliners entered the ’dungeon master’ room where the cloth covered monster and golem group was waiting for them.

The adventures started instantly fighting against the golems.... But there was problem.

The adventurers only focused on the enemy they "saw" in front of them, rushing right into the room in order confront the monsters.

And have yet to notice the enemies that were right above them.

But it wouldn’t take them long now, since the enemies "dropped" at them.

"?"

"Eh?" – a bomb golems started raining down on the adventurers, before monts later exploding, unleashing a chain of explosions that swallowed up everybody unfortunate to be directly underneath the golems.

"!?"

"THE FUCK WAS THAT?!" – shouted Markus as he and other adventurers that were already fighting golems turned around and saw a series of explosives going on.

"W-what is going on!?" – said panicking wolf beastman, before then looking upwards and having one of the sphere golems fall down right into his open mouth.... Which then exploded, killing the man instantly.

"!"

"Shit! It’s a trap!" – shouted Mawa.

"EVERYBODY GET AWAY!"

"!"

"HEY! THERE IS SOTHING ON THE CELLING!?" – shouted panicking adventurer that managed to sohow avoided the explosions.

"?!"

"W-what the hell are those?! Balls?!" – said Elizabeth as she noticed the bomb golems sticking to the surface of the celling right above entrance.

"!"

"THOSE ARE THE SA THINGS!" – shouted Adam.

"THOSE ARE THE SA FUCKING THINGS THAT SCREWED US OVER! THEY ARE THE BOMBS!" – shouted Adam, recognizing that the dropping spheres where the exact sa source of explosion that destroyed previous Garmfon kingdom’s army.

"Shit! DON’T CO IN! THE ENTRANCE IS TRAPPED! YOU HEAR ! THE ENTRANCE IS RIGGED!" – shouted Adam, trying to warn the people who still haven’t crossed over.

(Shit! They can’t hear !) – thought Adam as he realized that the sound of explosions is blocking off his ssage.

"F-fuck! My leg! My leg!" – said the man with torn open leg as he was dragged away from the front of the gate.

"Shit! The hell is going on her?!" – said the elven female archer Alia Wood as she was trying to help the wounded.

"H-help! HELP!" – shouted the voice from behind, before monts later a sound of flesh being torn apart could be heard.

"?!"

"What the fuck?!" – said Alia as she noticed the chaos happening on the backlines.

"Shit! Die! Die! Why the fuck are you not dying?!" – said the panicking archer that tried firing an arrow after arrow at the dungeon master, who just took the shots without care, before then rushing and quickly thrusting forward its claws, trying to impale the man.

[Fire Enchantnt: Flaming Arrow]

However right as the dungeon master was about to hit the man, arrow of fire hit the golem, instantly engulfing the creature in flas.

"!"

"T-thanks!" – said the archer that tried to get away.

"?"

However, the flas did not stopped the creature as it stabbed the man right from behind, before then pulling out the parts of the man spine with a huge chunk of flesh, killing him.

"?!"

"Shit! What the hell is this thing?!" – said Alia as all backliners were now fully aware of the creature while also noticing already several dead victims around the creature that had its arms covered in their blood.

"C-careful!" – said Oscar as fired off a thunder strike, which damaged and stopped for a split second.

"?!"

"O-Oscar?!" – shouted the worried elf as she instantly noticed the man’s injured state.

"The-"

"There is no ti!" – said the injured mage as the worried elf was inspecting his body.

"Listen to ! This thing ain’t normal! Its mage!"

"YOU ALL HEAR !?"

"THAT THING KNOWS HOW TO USE MAGIC!" – shouted the mage, instantly confusing and alarming the backliners.

"IT IS NOTHING LIKE THE FIRST OR SECOND BOSS!"

"DO NOT LET YOUR GUARD DOWN FOR EVEN A MONT OR HE WILL FUCKING KILL US ALL!"

"YOU HEAR ?!"

"DON’T FUCK AROUND!"
