Lord Of Puppets Chapter 47 – End of dungeon war

"Congratulation you bastard." – said Ariava as she personally made her way to the Thauma dungeon master room.

"You probably may or may not had guessed why I ca here personally.... So, let’s just get to it, shall we?"

"Your golems have finally managed to slay the master of the beast dungeon and they are about to destroy the dungeon core."

"..."

"Is it over?" – asked Thamu by writing down the question.

"Yeb." – replied Ariava.

"I’ve saw the whole thing thought my familiar."

"The beast dungeon master was able to destroy countless golems.... But in the end, there was straight up too many golems for it to handle, resulting in the dungeon master getting tired before then getting ultimately surrounded and murdered by your golems."

"Anway, you have officially won the war."

"Yippee!"

"And you know what that ans?"

"Reward ti."

"Feast on your spoils you have obtained with your very own hands!"

"You deserve it!"

Under Thauma commands the core of the beast dungeon was shattered.

And with the core destruction, the dungeon began shutting down, before then completing ceasing its action.

Upon its destruction, the miasma stored within the dungeon and the dungeon core began leaking, producing the "unstable miasma".

The unstable miasma is a form of miasma that "can’t use itself", aning that it cannot affect anything nor it can create a dungeon.

This miasma will just disappear over ti.... However! If there is a dungeon nearby, it can absorbed that unstable miasma like any regular miasma and use it.

This was the first spoil of the war.

And the second was this.

The core of the beast dungeon.

Even though shattered, it still possess so of its authority, data, power and nature.

This is called "Dungeon legacy".

Now, what would happened if the golem dungeon were to absorb the said destroyed core?

The answer is this.

It will absorb the "dungeon legacy", allowing the dungeon to obtain and research the "Beast" type.

"Hm.... Expected honestly." – said Ariava.

"It will also take you so ti to absorb miasma from the beast dungeon.... So, we have a bit of ti."

"Anything you want to talk about?"

"Do you feel anything after destroying a fellow dungeon? Murdering them and just then stealing their remains?"

"I don’t know." – replied Thauma by writing down the answer.

"Honestly, I think I was mostly scared after when the war started."

"I’ve originally planned on creating a army of crossbow golems as attack force, but after seeing the bears being only killed after getting hit countless tis as well the fact that they could still survive getting shot, I realized that my plan would fail and I panicked."

"Huh. So that is why you focused on making standard golems." – said Ariava.

"Was it desperation?"

"Yes." – replied Thauma.

"I didn’t seen any other way to do it."

"I needed to scrap my entire plan and try to make a golem that would be at least able at least stall the bears."

"I saw it.... By the way, did you made the new blueprint from scratch? Or did you.... Well, started researching it before?" - asked Arriva.

"I was working on it before. But finishing it in a way that it would be able to take hits, modifications, changes, it did take quiet while to finish. Honestly, if I wasn’t working on this thing early on, things may had ended very differently."

(So, he didn’t ca up with the blueprint on the spot? Sha.) – thought Ariava.

(If he did then, then that would an he has a monster level of talent.)

(.....But still, he is learning and he is already using many different type golems.)

(His golems obviously still need to be worked on, especially the standard type and especially the crossbow golem type.... But overall, this guy got a talent.)

(He maybe not so "master" or anything like that, but he does have a solid and nice potential.)

(At the rate things are going, this guy will stand out amongst the golem users.)

(And it is not like he is cheating either! He is just working! He doesn’t have skill that makes him instantly OP at making golems, NO! He is learning and developing his understanding!)

"Anyway, next question."

"What do you think about killing a fellow dungeon? You may had been a different beings and stuff, but you were both dungeons.... Anything?"

"Nothing." – replied Thauma.

"I think I don’t really feel anything like anger, sadness, confusion or any negative emotions."

"I do however feel happy that I had won the war.... So does that count?"

"Hm.... Nah. It doesn’t. I was talking about the core." – said Ariava.

(So, he is fine with destroying other dungeons, huh? This maybe turn out fun in the future.)

[Dungeon core has fully absorbed the "Dungeon Legacy" of the "Beast Dunge".]

[Authority and generation of the beast type monsters had been unlocked.]

"FINALY!" – said Ariava.

"The fruits of your labor has finally blood!"

"Now it is ti to show the creation!"

"Show the beast golem!"

Without hesitation, Ariava instantly ordered already excited Thauma to produce a brand new golem that had been obtained.

And the na of this golem?

[Beast Doll]

A beast like doll that represented a four legged creature made out of wood.

"Em..... What can it do?" – asked Ariava.

"..."

Thauma ordered the wooden beast to run around, but not very fast.

Ordered to bite, but it did not posed enough power or sharp fangs.

And the wood.... Well, it was normal.

(WOW!)

(THIS THING SUCKS BIG TI!) – thought both extrely disappointed Thauma and Ariava.

"I.....Wasn’t expecting this?" – said Ariava.

"I an, sure, this is the weakest monster you can produce and stuff that combines both beast and golem natures.... But this is.... Is this just your regular Wooden Mannequin that is bit smaller and just walk on all fours?"

"..."

"I think so?" – replied Thauma by writing down the reply.

"Em... Wow.... I don’t know.....!"

"Wait! You can just use the... Wait, shit. That wouldn’t work. It would be the sa way with your regular golems." – said Ariava who thought that maybe dungeon monster research function may work, only to rember that this function is completely useless with golems.

"Say.... You do still have a ability to produce beast, right?" – asked Ariava.

"Yes. I can produce horned rabbit." – replied Thauma.

"F ranks.... Huh.... Well, that sucks." – said Ariava.

"Even amongst the weakens of the F rank monsters, horned rabbits are one of the weakest."

"Their horns are their main weapons, but they are not really sharp and they really can’t pierce deep into a human bodies."

"They are consider as vermin and pretty much not taken seriously at all, even when they evolve."

"Hell, just a good old farr can just pick up hoe and kill one."

"Anything else?"

"Nothing." – replied Thauma.

"Really? Shit." – said Ariava.

"..."

"Hm... Maybe you could obtain easily Grey Wolves if you researched your beast type monsters, they were the main specialty of the beast dungeon so maybe obtaining data to create that monster will be easier.... But again, the grey wolves are also not very strong... They are stronger than horned rabbits.... But they are F ranks and nowhere near the top of its own rank."

(Wow.... This sucks.) – thought Ariava.

(The combined nature between golems and beast will result in this kind of useless shit!?)

(This isn’t even funny! He could make the very sa thing even without using beast dungeon legacy! Hell! He could probably make even make..... Wait.)

"Shit.... This isn’t really good.... I an, this is way worse than you can image." – said Ariava with annoyed and worried look.

"?"

"What do you an?" – asked Thauma.

"The fusion. It sucks ass." – said Ariava.

"The golem beast is just mimicking random animals and that is it."

"You could try researching it, but there will be definitely noting gained from this."

"You really just have to research it again to make anything useful out of this. Just how you did before."

"And this does pose annoying problem for you."

"What do you think would happened if you were to take over dungeon legacy of sothing like.... I don’t know. Insects, fish, bird or even dragon dungeon monster types?"

"What kind of results would there be?"

"The answer is simple."

"You probably won’t gain ANYTHING from absorbing their legacies and obtaining their monster types."

"You just.... Wow.... I did not foresaw this." – said Ariava as she grabbed her head, wondering if the beast monsters or the golem beast monsters have any uses for Thauma at all.

"I an... Maybe you could.... Nah. It would be the sa shitty thing.... Fuck ...."

"So does that an that destroying other dungeons and stealing their destroyed cores pretty much does nothing?" – asked Thauma.

"Well.... You did got shit tons of miasma, didn’t you?" – said Ariava.

"Hm... But...."

"Huh.... Well, I did kind of thought of sothing just now."

"Maybe the "creature" type dungeon that focuses on specific form of creatures won’t do you any good."

"But maybe sothing like elent based or sothing magical dungeon would do? Like fire dungeon that would have creatures made out of fire? Maybe you could use those."

"Honestly, this is the only bloody thing I can think off."

(But still, he still ended up losing a lot of possibilities when it cos to the creature type dungeons.)

(Hell! Even if he did absorbed sothing like dragon dungeon, it would straight up gave him nothing at all! Just nothing!)

(And there is really nothing like elental dungeons anywhere nearby either.... Hell, that beast dungeon was the only dungeon in area beside this..... Oh shit. Undead. Fuck It would had been perfect.)

(If he had took over the undead dungeon that was once here, he could had obtained sothing nice. Necromancy.)

(There are undeads that are "crafted", so maybe he could had combined his golem crafting knowledge with the necromancy.)

(But I really didn’t knew.... Still, this sucks big ti.)

(I really was looking forward to this, seeing what sort of creatures would be born.... But instead.... We found ourselves with more problems at our hands.... Nice.)
