"Elron, you were looking for ?"
Rogner walked into the great hall of Swamp Castle, dusty from his travels.
Ever since Ronin’s territory had expanded, he had barely had any ti to rest.
In the past, he could lose himself in nature, wandering and taking in the sights. Now, although he was still constantly on the move and had seen more landscapes than he could count, that leisurely spirit was gradually fading.
It couldn’t be helped. As Ronin’s prestige grew, more and more Knights joined the territory, and the competition intensified.
Although he and Krami were relatively level-headed, they were of noble birth, after all, and had followed Ronin for a long ti. They would be more than a little resentful if they were outshone by Knights from common backgrounds.
Besides, their elders—and they themselves—saw imnse potential in Ronin. The future was filled with infinite possibilities.
As so of Ronin’s earliest followers, they had more opportunities.
But opportunities always favor the prepared. If they did nothing, those chances would simply slip away.
Thus, Rogner and Krami had beco much more dedicated than before.
"Huh? Yusuf, Jenny, Erin, you’re all here?"
All the Mages of the Wubei Territory were gathered in the hall at this mont. They seed to be waiting for sothing, their eyes filled with anticipation.
Elron chuckled. "Rogner, you’re an Advanced Level Knight. I called you over because I want you to test this potion for us."
As he spoke, he picked up a small glass test tube from a nearby table.
The test tube was filled with a red liquid. Bubbles occasionally rose to the surface, giving it a poisonous appearance.
Rogner froze for a mont.
For the better part of the past year, Elron had often been grabbing people to test potions. This was sothing many Knights in the Wubei Territory knew about.
So of the potions were fine, with no toxins. So people even benefited from them.
But others were a different story. Not long ago, that guy Damon took sothing and was bedridden for three days.
’I can’t believe the job of a test subject has fallen to .’
"This... what kind of potion is this?"
Rogner held the test tube in his hand. A pungent odor wafted over, causing him to frown instinctively.
"It won’t kill , will it?"
Elron burst out laughing, while Yusuf jeered from the side, "Rogner, you’re a bit too timid, aren’t you? Even if it’s a little toxic, with Teacher Elron here, you won’t die."
Rogner pursed his lips. "Why don’t you try it, then?"
The two of them had known each other for a long ti, and their friendship had deepened after they started following Ronin.
Yusuf rolled his eyes. "If I were an Advanced Level Knight, I’d drink it without a second thought."
Jenny explained, "This is the latest Support Enhancent Potion Teacher Elron has developed. The one you’re holding is perfect for an Advanced Level Knight. I heard you’re already at the Advanced Level Peak. Perhaps you can use this to break through in one go."
Rogner’s eyes widened. "There are actually Magic Potions that can increase your strength?"
He was a familiar face at the Magic Energy Chamber of Comrce and had co across plenty of Magic Potions, but he had never heard of one that could increase a person’s strength.
Gazing at the red liquid in the test tube, Rogner no longer hesitated and downed it in one gulp.
’Just like Yusuf said,’ he thought, ’even if the potion isn’t successful, my life won’t be in danger.’
Elron said imdiately, "Describe what you’re feeling. It will help evaluate the potion’s effects."
Rogner’s brows were tightly furrowed, his face a mask of pain. "It’s extrely bitter, and it feels like fire is burning its way from my throat to my stomach. But after the burning cos a wave of iciness. It’s... uncomfortable."
Erin, who was in charge of recording, diligently took notes.
"The effects haven’t kicked in yet."
Elron said, "Tell when you feel like your blood is boiling."
Rogner quietly focused on his body. The alternating sensation of hot and cold in his stomach grew more and more intense.
Finally, a wave of heat surged through his entire body. His breathing suddenly beca heavy, his face flushed red, and the Fighting Qi inside him churned violently.
Yet his mind was perfectly clear. "I feel like my blood is boiling."
Elron’s eyes lit up. "Excellent. You can go outside and practice with your longsword. Unleash your Fighting Qi."
Rogner didn’t seem willing to wait another mont. He drew his longsword and darted outside.
As flashes of his blade appeared, the Fighting Qi in the courtyard began to surge.
Elron stood on the steps with his three students, watching Rogner.
One minute, two minutes passed, until the aura around Rogner gradually cald and his Fighting Qi ceased to churn.
Rogner was amazed. He could feel his Fighting Qi seeping into every inch of his skin and every piece of his flesh, bringing with it an invigorating sensation.
Just then, a bronze pattern flashed across his body, and his entire presence leaped to a new level.
"Praise the Lord! Praise the Great Physician! I’ve broken through!"
Rogner shouted in delight, as happy as a child.
Then he looked at Elron in disbelief. "Did I really break through?"
Elron stroked his beard. "Congratulations. As of now, our Wubei Territory has one more Bronze Knight."
Rogner threw a few punches and kicks, feeling his increased Power. "Unbelievable! To think such a small amount of potion could help break through so smoothly!"
Elron explained, "Although the Support Enhancent Potion can indeed increase one’s strength, it doesn’t guarantee a breakthrough just by taking it. The fact that you broke through proves you were already on the verge of becoming a Bronze Knight. Even without this potion, I believe you would have broken through before long."
But Rogner shook his head. "If I had relied solely on myself, I estimate it would have taken at least a year."
He looked at Elron, a sharp glint in his eyes. "That potion just now... if it were for sale, how many Gold Coins would it cost?"
Elron glanced at the test tube and made a quick assessnt. "About three hundred Gold Coins, I’d say. After all, the production cost is close to One Hundred Gold Coins."
He was only asking for double the profit. To be honest, it was a fair price—not too high, not too low.
An Advanced Level Knight could still afford it if they gritted their teeth.
Hearing Elron’s estimate, Rogner suddenly felt that testing this potion wasn’t a loss at all.
’I just got a three-hundred-Gold-Coin advantage in a matter of monts. They can call for any future potion tests!’
"Are you planning to sell this to the public?"
Recently, Rogner had mostly been transporting materials like grain and iron ore. With him and his escort of Knights and Cavalry for protection, basically no one would dare to attack them.
But transporting such a special and expensive Magic Potion was a different matter entirely.
He would need to upgrade his team’s security asures.
"That’s a decision for the Lord to make after he returns."
Elron shook his head. "However, before he left, he ntioned that we might use the Support Enhancent Potion as a reward in the future, given for free to those who make contributions to the territory."
"The Lord is truly generous!"
Rogner exclaid in admiration. How many Lords could give away sothing worth three hundred Gold Coins just like that?
’He could already foresee that once this news spread, the Advanced Level Knights in the Wubei Territory, Giant Stone City, and Shore City would go crazy. After all, who wouldn’t want such a reward?’
’But there are no wars right now. What could the Knights possibly do to be considered as having made a worthy contribution?’
"Alright, sit here for an hour."
Elron instructed, "Erin, you stay here and observe him. If he shows any signs of discomfort, record it and notify imdiately."
"Yes, Teacher."
Erin replied seriously.
