The terrifying power of the punch was unleashed, surging into the Demon’s body. It instantly shattered its physical form, blasting it into a cloud of fragnts. The Thunder Magnetism then erupted over a wide area, creating a magnetic storm that shredded every last piece of sludge and debris.
Just as Yao Hu thought it was all over, a sudden sense of dread washed over him.
Beneath his feet, deep within the cracked earth, a few insignificant specks of black ooze began to stir. In an instant, they absorbed enough sinful power, transforming into deadly spikes that shot up from the ground to impale him.
His body, fortified by the Vajra Transformation, was incredibly durable. The pitch-black spikes, which should have pierced clean through him, only managed to penetrate an inch. But that one inch was enough to form a bridge, allowing a potent, dream-weaving venom to be injected into him.
Yao Hu’s vision went black, and he collapsed.
A mass of black ooze squeezed out from a crack in the ground, gradually expanding and taking the form of the Demon.
Early on in the battle, Natas had hidden a small part of itself in a fissure as a contingency. It hadn’t expected to actually rely on this ploy to turn the tables in the end.
It looked at Yao Hu, lost in a beautiful dream, and went for the kill without hesitation, plunging its dagger-sharp claws toward his heart.
But in the very instant it struck, Yao Hu vanished from the spot.
The boo-filled Glory Colosseum also grew increasingly illusory before fading away entirely.
Natas reappeared in the sky above Akita Town, and before it could even get its bearings, a massive, pale Fireball ca crashing toward it.
’What a pity. Yao Hu was so close. To think that sly bastard still had a trick up its sleeve...’
Zhou Chen steeled himself and took over.
Although he, Liu Ling, and Chengzi had already decided to abandon this cycle, planning to let the explorers in the next cycle make a direct push for a happy ending.
