Zachary lowered his head, took a small sip of wine, and a hint of calculation flashed in his eyes.

He sighed, feigning helplessness: "Perhaps. After all, Calvin doesn't seem to understand how to respect others. If it were , I would definitely co in person beforehand to pay my respects to the Earl."

Earl Firth's brows furrowed tightly, and anger began to show on his face.

The clamor of the banquet seed to be drawn to these words, and the atmosphere beca sowhat heavy.

Earl Firth was silent for a mont, then slamd the table: "This Calvin needs to be taught a lesson. Let him know that the North is not a lawless place."

"For the subsequent actions, I want him to go to the most dangerous places, to be at the very front!" Earl Firth thought, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.

Plan complete.

Zachary smiled faintly, but his heart was filled with twisted pleasure.

Earl Firth's decision was the result of his ticulous planning.

Ever since Louis had made him lose face at the banquet, a surge of anger had been building in Zachary's heart.

Especially Louis's disdainful gaze, which had severely wounded his self-esteem.

"Who do you think you are?" Zachary thought with a sneer, "You're just a discarded family mber, yet you dare to disdain ?"

By leveraging Earl Firth's ignorance, he could easily place Louis in the most dangerous position.

And Louis's arrogance would make him pay the ultimate price.

Of course, Zachary also knew when to stop.

As long as prejudice was sown in Firth's heart, the rest would be left for ti to fernt.

So he quickly changed the subject, talking about his interesting hunting experiences in the South.

The nobles gradually relaxed, and the ~Nоvеl𝕚ght~ atmosphere slowly ward up.

The banquet returned to its proper liveliness, and everything seed to be concluding towards a "morable night."

However, just as the banquet was drawing to a close, a servant hurried into the hall and whispered a report to the main seat.

"Reporting, my Lord Earl, Baron Calvin and Baron Harvey are at the door."

Upon hearing this na, Earl Firth's brows imdiately furrowed.

"Baron Calvin?" he repeated unhappily.

Zachary, standing beside him, curled his lips into a faint, almost imperceptible smile.

He hadn't expected Louis, this unlucky fellow, to deliver himself right to his doorstep now; it was truly heaven's help.

He kept his voice just low enough for the Earl to hear: "That would be Louis Calvin, a mber of the Calvin Family."

Earl Firth snorted coldly, his eyes showing clear displeasure.

"Let him in," his tone was icy, "I want to ask him what kind of trick he's trying to pull by showing up when the banquet is almost over."

Before long, the hall doors slowly opened, and everyone's eyes uniformly turned towards the entrance.

Louis and Yoen made a grand entrance.

Behind them followed two unarmored knights, each carrying a large burlap sack on their shoulders, emanating a slight fishy sll.

They seed out of place at the banquet.

The nobles stared at this unusual scene with either confusion or surprise; the previous chatter and laughter instantly vanished without a trace.

Earl Firth sat on the main seat, and upon seeing this, his face gradually darkened.

Especially when he saw the two sacks, his heart was filled with even more rage.

He then stood up abruptly, a contemptuous smile on his face, and reprimanded: "Louis Calvin, you truly disappoint .

To be late for such a banquet, and to have such a disdainful attitude, not even understanding the most basic noble etiquette. What do you take the Earl's manor for?!"

His gaze swept over the sacks behind Louis, and the expression on his face beca even more displeased: "Look at these sacks, what is this for? This is a noble's banquet, not a street market!"

The atmosphere in the banquet hall instantly fell silent, and the nobles conversed in low whispers, their eyes flickering.

So of the southern frontier nobles began to show schadenfreude, as if they had been waiting to see Louis make a fool of himself.

Zachary stood to the side, continuing to provoke in a low voice: "Earl Firth is right, a noble's banquet is a noble's stage, and everyone must follow the rules. Do you think Earl Firth is not worthy of soone as noble as you?"

As soon as these words were spoken, the laughter of the surrounding nobles grew louder.

Soone sneered contemptuously: "What an uncultured fellow, truly thinking he's soone important."

Another person quietly echoed: "Look at this scene, it's nothing like a noble banquet. How can Earl Firth tolerate such an ill-mannered person mixing in here?"

"A mber of the Calvin Family, so ill-mannered and uncultivated, not even understanding the most basic respect, daring to casually disturb Earl Firth's banquet like this."

Their voices were filled with disdain, seemingly having already concluded that Louis was an arrogant and rude person.

Zachary watched all of this with schadenfreude, knowing that his words had already put Louis in a difficult position.

Earl Firth grew even more annoyed upon hearing these words.

He looked at Louis coldly, seemingly having decided not to extend any noble courtesy to him anymore.

He intended to severely punish him, to let him know who the master of Snowpeak County was.

The laughter of the surrounding nobles grew more unrestrained, and the atmosphere seed to beco even more tense.

However, Louis remained calm and expressionless, as if he had not been affected at all.

He bowed slightly, performing a noble's courtesy, then politely began: "My Lord Earl, I indeed had an urgent matter, which caused the delay. As for the sacks, they contain gifts I specially prepared for you."

As he spoke, he gestured for the knights behind him to slowly set down the sacks.

Zachary sneered: "Oh? Gifts? That's sowhat surprising.

But as the son of Duke Calvin, you shouldn't be bringing such crude gifts, should you? Is it so wild pheasant or rabbit from your territory?

Why don't you just let us see what valuable items are inside, worth you making an appearance here."

Every word from Zachary was laced with mockery, clearly intending to put Louis on the defensive.

Earl Firth heard Zachary's words, his prejudice had already quietly ford, and a cold glint of disdain flashed in his eyes.

"Since it's a gift, let's see. After all, we nobles of the North are not intentionally making things difficult for you."

Earl Firth commanded in a low voice: "Open them, let's see what exactly is inside."

Louis smiled faintly, signaling the knights to open the sacks.

The mont the sacks were opened, several Snowsworn heads rolled out, blood dripping onto the ground.

The banquet hall instantly fell into a deathly silence; all the nobles were stunned.

Earl Firth stared blankly at the heads on the ground.

His plump face was contorted by fear and anger, the fat around his eyes trembling slightly.

He seed to want to shout sothing forcefully but was caught off guard by the sudden impact.

"This... what is this?!" He finally managed to squeeze out the words, his voice filled with panic.
