"Fairy King? ?" King murmured in confusion for a mont before reacting. "No, my spear!"
Ignoring Kaito's previous words, he focused on his stolen spear.
But no matter how much he shouted and struggled, he could not free himself from Diane's hands. As for the control of Chastiefol, it worked perfectly even without moving, but Kaito had the strength to stop it no matter what he did.
"Hey, can you stop moving? You are not getting free from with your strength" Diane complained.
"With my strength? Do you know who I am? I am... who am I? Arghhh!" King suddenly frowned, as if he were about to rember sothing, but the terrible headache that ca with it made him stop.
Finally, the pain passed and, along with it, the mories, as if it had never happened. "Damn it, if it were not for that human I would beat you up" he complained, never stopping his attempts to escape from Diane.
anwhile, Kaito observed King's state with interest.
'Fascinating, not only did he lose his mory, he also seems to not notice that sothing is missing. Even when he is about to rember, his brain seems to reset to before the pain and even forget that as well.'
Of course, Kaito knew the origin of this, the trauma of humans killing his friend led him to such an extrely fragile ntal state.
'Luckily I warned him before stealing the spear.'
Kaito could have simply stolen the spear without King even noticing, but there was a reason he did not do so, the sa reason he did not take the fountain of youth in the sa way.
And that is because both Elaine and King are in extrely fragile ntal states. In such conditions, for Elaine to lose literally the only purpose of her life after centuries of solitude and for King to lose the only thing that connects him to his past, without even knowing what happened, could lead them to a state Kaito does not dare to imagine.
Kaito has not forgotten that this world is supposed to be his at so point, so returning to find both of them dead would be unfortunate. Kaito will not kill innocent people for no reason as long as he can avoid it.
"What? Do you know who I am? Diane of the giant warrior clan? Do you think you can defeat ?!" Diane, at the sa ti, beca furious at King's words, even ignoring that her background is supposed to be that she does not like fighting just for the sake of it, turning her gaze toward Kaito in the sky.
Kaito simply sighed, knowing what she wanted, and did not respond. Instead, he opened his right palm, letting the spear move.
"What?" King reacted in confusion when he was freed and could control Chastiefol again, but he did not let himself get carried away and quickly recovered.
"Chastiefol - fifth form: Increase."
As he raised a hand, the spear behind him began spinning like a tornado before turning into hundreds of them that shot toward Diane and Kaito at the sa ti.
Then, with a simple flick of his wrist, they advanced at high speed.
"The fight is not against ." Kaito simply dodged all of them at great speed with small movents, making it look easy. Then he rose higher into the sky, aiming to be nothing more than a spectator.
anwhile, Diane took her hamr and swung it horizontally in front of her, hitting most of the spears, although so managed to hit her, they only left small scratches on her skin.
"Trying to escape?" King watched Kaito move higher into the sky and spoke with a mocking tone before heading toward him.
"Ground Gladius."
But before he could move too far, he had to turn around when he heard Diane's shout and the movent around him.
"Chastiefol - second form: Guardian."
Below King, and right in his direction, a sharp rise of earth surged upward like a blade, heading toward him at high speed.
And as if the attack had changed midway, it began to sharpen as it erged from the ground, turning what was once a massive chunk of earth into sothing more like a giant needle ready to pierce his body.
The sacred spear, transford into its Guardian form, a giant stuffed bear, positioned itself right in front of King, protecting him from the attack.
Luckily for King, it was still earth, so it was not that strong, and Guardian was able to catch it.
"Guardian, take care of her, I will go after the other one" King spoke, the giant stuffed bear nodded before heading toward Diane.
With Diane only slightly taller than Guardian, King trusted it could handle her.
But Diane did not let him do that.
"I told you I am your enemy." Diane raised her massive hamr and swung it toward Guardian with all her strength, and although Guardian was pushed back dozens of ters by the force, it still caught the hamr, stopping it and refusing to let go.
At the sa ti, huge chunks of earth rose from the ground, stopping midair like small planets.
The next second, Diane spun her weapon in place, making Guardian hold the head of the hamr and tearing part of its "skin", which made pulling the hamr back much easier.
With the hamr in her hands, Diane lifted it as high as possible before bringing it down to the ground with all her strength.
"teor Falling."
The massive chunks of earth floating around fell like teors toward King.
And although at first he thought it would be easy to avoid, when all the teors changed direction and headed toward him, his eyes widened in shock.
"Impossible! What kind of control is this?" he murmured in disbelief.
"Guardian."
Guardian abandoned its position and moved toward King, hugging him and wrapping around him like a massive stuffed sphere that protected him in the air.
All the massive teors struck the sa spot, creating a huge impact zone impossible to see through due to dust and debris.
When all the dust settled, there was the enormous stuffed form, riddled with holes everywhere.
"... Rest, Guardian" King whispered sadly upon seeing the state of his companion.
Finally, he decided to stop trying to go after Kaito and focus entirely on Diane.
"Chastiefol: fourth form: Sunflower."
King, now more serious and angry, transford his spear into a massive flower that grew from the ground in an instant, so large it surpassed Diane in size, opening toward the giant.
Without waiting for any command this ti, huge golden beams of energy began firing from the flower at high speed, like a machine gun, with a massive attack radius that would likely destroy the village where King had lived for a ti.
But he did not care at that mont, he was angry, and the only thing he wanted was to see Diane dead or at least as injured as Guardian.
Fortunately for the village, halfway through, all the beams concentrated into a single one that shot toward Diane's chest.
Unfazed by the spectacle, Diane struck the base of her hamr against the ground and used it as a shield.
"Lightning Rod."
The massive amount of energy was absorbed directly by the hamr, crackling around it like electricity before traveling down the handle and being redirected entirely into the ground beneath her feet.
The terrain around the base of the handle began to crack rapidly, preparing to explode from the energy, but, as had happened several tis during the fight, it suddenly stopped and all the energy was redirected through the ground toward the distance, toward a faraway mountain.
Boom!
Despite the distance, the destruction of part of the mountain was visible from there due to the scale of the impact, astonishing the few villagers still present without fear of being caught in the fight between a giant and a fairy.
However, King was no longer paying attention to that.
"I... I did not do that, what happened?"
Between disbelief and confusion, King repeated the exact sa attack, only for sothing similar to happen.
But this ti the beams of energy did not rge into a single one, they remained multiple, but those that would not have hit Diane from the start rged with others, amplifying them.
Diane used teor Rising, but this ti, instead of summoning falling teors, she raised a large slope of earth shaped like a ramp that protected her.
Using it, Diane ran and jumped toward King and delivered a direct hamr blow that the confused King did not dodge.
Crash!
Diane's force sent him crashing from the sky to the ground, creating a trendous impact as he slamd into the earth.
"W-what is happening? I did not do that!" he murmured, now even more shocked.
When Diane pulled back her hamr, at the bottom of a large crater lay King, who was still almost intact, however he no longer had the will to fight, only muttering to himself.
"You! You must know. What is happening?" Upon seeing Diane, his eyes lit up with hope.
"You an the attacks?" Diane murmured after hearing the question, since she had also noticed that her attacks had changed. With abilities based on brute force and raw power, she would never know how to control teors or create a thin spike of earth. After a few seconds, an idea ca to her mind. "It must be Kaito."
"Kaito?" King asked before understanding who she ant. "You an the human in the sky?"
"Yes."
"Impossible! Chastiefol is my companion! Only I can control it, no one else."
"Well, apparently Kaito can" Diane said without much concern.
But upon hearing that, sothing inside King broke.
"No, no one can! Chastiefol is mine! My only companion! No one can control her! No one will take her away from ! She is Chastiefol... Arghhh... she is... arghhh... she is... the artifact of the Fairy King. Harlequin."
