Xavier raised an eyebrow, his voice laced with curiosity. "What? You went to ask for money, so how did it co to this?" ’His mind raced. Could it be that he discovered I was bluffing?’
Dominic shook his head, his voice tight. "No, no. I don’t an that. They all agreed to the money. It’s already been transferred to ."
Xavier’s gaze sharpened. "So why can’t you let go?"
Dominic’s jaw tightened. "I have to find soone else in your stead. I can’t just let you go and write in the report that we arrested the wrong guy. The case is already listed as solved."
Xavier shrugged, his voice indifferent. "I missed the part where that’s my problem." He leaned back, his tone mocking. "Why should I care? I want out."
"Please try to understand!" Dominic’s fingers drumd against the table. "The maximum limit to submit the report to the UJC is 48 hours. I have to forge false evidence and testimonies. It’ll take ti." His voice was tight. "But I promise, you’ll be out before tomorrow morning. You just have to spend the night here."
"But I don’t like it here. I need comfort, you know?"
"You will have comfort! You can do anything you want here. You are free to roam around the prison and do any activity you want." Dominic realized Xavier wasn’t pleased with his offer. After a pause, Dominic added, "You can even have your phone and all the belongings we had confiscated. You are free, just think of it as a prison experience trip or sothing and stay the night here."
"..." Xavier didn’t say anything in response. He was wondering whether he should take the offer or keep prying about getting out of the prison.
After seeing how Xavier was unhinged, Dominic gulped down nervously and said, "Okay, how about this. I will put extra n on this case. And everything might be done even before night. But that’s not a promise. This is not sothing in my hand."
’He doesn’t seem to be lying. I literally said in front of him that if they don’t hear from in the next twenty four hours, then they can make anything public. Although nothing exists, he believes it does.’ Xavier pondered. ’Even if he is doing this to stall ti, nothing will happen because my team doesn’t exist. He won’t find a thing. Hmm~ Maybe I should spend the night here. There is also sothing I want to confirm.’
Xavier thought of Bull and the wolf girl.
Xavier looked at Dominic and asked, "Where is the money?"
"Do you want to transfer it to you? It’s a big amount you know. You might get in so trouble over legal issues if your account suddenly gets ten million dollars out of nowhere, especially since you are in prison. They might think you did sothing shady in the prison and got paid."
’I don’t have an account, so that’s not the issue.’ Xavier thought and wondered, ’But where will the amount be stored? The goddess said that I am money and I am already doing transactions everyday. So does that an the money is stored inside my body or sothing? Let’s confirm it.’
"Yeah, you don’t have to worry about that." Xavier said arrogantly. "Just do what you are told to do."
Dominic pulled up his device and inserted the amount and pin before saying, "Put your finger or whatever you have chosen as your gateway to perform transactions."
Xavier placed his finger and the system notification flashed in front of his eyes.

’Nice, it worked! Now I just have to use today’s $10,000 sowhere. But where? And how?’
Suddenly, Xavier got an idea. He let out a frustrated sigh and pretended to be annoyed and angry that he had to spend the night in the prison.
Xavier then remarked, "The food here is so bad that even the sll of the sewer feels like a fragrance compared to it."
Dominic’s face twisted. "Umm... I will get you sothing nice to eat. What do you want?"
"Beef! Steaks and ribs! Don’t forget fries and drinks. Oh! And also so nice dessert."
"Okay. You can stay here and do whatever you want. Once you have eaten, go back to your cell."
"Hey." Xavier frowned his face. "I didn’t say you could leave, yet. Let finish what I was saying."
"..."
"I want everyone in the yard I am in to eat the sa thing as I do. So arrange it by the al ti," Xavier ordered.
"Is... that your... third request?" Dominic asked while stuttering.
"Do you think I am in the mood for a joke? Why would I request sothing like that? I am only asking for it because you are keeping here for a few more hours. And it wouldn’t be fair if I ate nice dishes, while the other inmates in my yard ate sweat and piss."
"There are around 100 prisoners in the yard you are in. Do you want to arrange a five star hotel for them?"
"Relax. I am paying for it. It’s my treat. Consider it my farewell party." After saying that, Xavier transferred $10,000 to Dominic and then returned to his cell while using the phone.
The other inmates watched in shock and surprise that Xavier had survived Dominic’s interrogation and not only was he unhard, but he was also given special privileges.
Usually, the inmates didn’t care about anyone. But now, everyone was curious who Xavier was.
After about two hours, the cells opened up and the al break began. Everyone was unmotivated to eat, but they had no other choice. But then, everyone turned around as they slled sothing nice, sothing delicious.
A dozen of officers lined up and set up tables full of dishes Xavier had ordered. The prisoners of the other yards, who were separated by a forcefield, watched as Xavier and the others ate the food of heaven, while what they were eating was worse than the food of hell.
