Dylan’s voice ca calm ... too calm.
It made Adelyn halt stiffly.
Did he already regret agreeing to her?
The possibility bothered her, but before she could confirm it with him, sothing warm covered her shoulders from behind.
Her shoulders squeezed slightly, and she turned to glance back, only to see a cream-colored structured trench coat draped over her fra.
Her eyes lifted and t with his.
"Don’t go out without it," Dylan said, retracting his hand and placing both behind his back.
"T-Thank you, Mr. Warren," Adelyn said quickly, turning around. "But you didn’t really have to. I am sure ...," her eyes wandered as she searched around, "... I must have dropped my coat sowhere around here."
"They aren’t here," Dylan replied with certainty.
When she looked at him, he added, "I’ve sent them to the laundry. Later, I will have soone deliver it to you."
She nodded in understanding before pulling her lips in a polite smile.
"Thank you, Mr. Warren. If there is nothing else," she took a small step back, "I’ll take my leave first."
And then without wasting another mont, she hurried out.
However, just as she stepped outside, she suddenly rembered sothing and stopped in her tracks.
Closing her eyes, she bit her lip and silently chided herself.
Then, turning back, she nervously re-entered the room.
"Mr. Warren, I —"
Her words stuck in her throat when she saw Dylan turning toward her.
His bathrobe had loosened, revealing the firm lines of his chest and ridged definition of his abdon.
Without realizing it, she swallowed.
The mont stretched until she finally snapped back to reality when she heard his voice.
"Ms. Grace." His voice remained as magnetic as before, carrying the refinent that’s actually quite attractive. "Did you forget sothing?"
"I ... I—"
For a mont she forgot entirely.
But forcing herself to rember, she finally said, "Oh yes, I ca back to ask you sothing."
He humd in response, slowly walking toward her.
Adelyn’s gaze couldn’t help but drop to his body once again.
"I wanted to ... ask if you’ve seen my phone," she said, scratching near her ear a little bothered by the way she was reacting. "Since I woke up, I haven’t seen it anywhere, so —"
"It’s in the drawer," he answered, gesturing toward the other side of the bed.
"In that one?" Adelyn asked, already moving to retrieve it herself.
As she pulled the drawer open, the phone was indeed lying inside.
She picked it up with relief.
"Oh, thank goodness. I almost thought I dropped it sowhere."
As she turned around, she crashed straight into his body and nearly staggered backward.
Luckily, before she could lose her balance, his arms wrapped around her waist, steadying her.
"Mr. Warren —"
"Careful, Ms. Grace," he said lightly, his expression calm, composed. "I might not always be around to protect you."
She was speechless.
Did he really think she was the clumsy one?
He was the one making her nervous in the first place.
Being the reason himself, how could he bla her?
Of course, she didn’t dare say out loud.
Instead, she placed her hands between them and tried to push him back —only to regret the very next second.
Quickly withdrawing her hand from his chest, she apologized.
"I’m sorry. I didn’t an to."
"You got several calls last night," he said, his voice at ease. "I helped you answer one of them."
She froze.
"You ... did?" Her mind raced, and she nearly cried.
But the next second accepting the damage already done, she put on a smike and apologized. "Sorry for bothering you so much. I assure you there won’t be a next ti."
Then quickly pointing toward the door, she hurriedly added,
"It’s getting late for . I’ll leave first. See you later, Mr. Warren."
And then she ran.
She ran without looking back a second ti.
She knew this wasn’t over.
But she had already had enough for the day.
Right now, all she wanted was to relax a little ... in peace.
Away from everything that had happened the night before.

Leaving the hotel, the first thing Adelyn wanted to do was to get back ho.
So, she opened her cab aggregator app to book a ride.
Soon enough, her trip was confird.
As she waited for the cab, she didn’t notice a black Maybach stopping so distance away.
However, the little figure sitting inside noticed her the instant she appeared.
Her eyes brightened with excitent, and she began tapping on the window, trying to grab Adelyn’s attention.
"Mama!"
But no matter how much she tapped ... how much she called for her, Adelyn didn’t look her way.
Perhaps it was the distance.
Or perhaps the soundproof windows of the car.
"Young Miss, what’s wrong," the driver asked, bewildered.
He turned around and looked at the little girl, unable to understand why she was suddenly acting this way.
Her usual deanor had always been soft and polite. Unlike other children, she was never naughty or overly stubborn.
And that only made her more likable.
"Please stop the car," she said anxiously. "Eira wants to get out."
The driver beca even more confused.
He was already worried about both his life and his job because he dared to bring the little lady here without asking anyone.
But he couldn’t bear to refuse her.
How could he?
The little one had approached him with such sweetness that he simply couldn’t bring himself to reject her.
"Young Miss, please calm down," he said carefully. "I’ll park the car in front of the hotel entrance, and then you can go in to find Sir."
But Eira didn’t want to go inside the hotel.
She had co here for her Mama.
And her Mama was right there.
Shaking her head, she refused stubbornly.
"No, Eira doesn’t want to go to the hotel. Eira wants to get down here. Stop the car."
Her gaze never left the window. She stared outside, watching as the car slowly moved past Adelyn.
She began jumping up and down, making the driver increasingly anxious.
He quickly drove the car forward and stopped it near the entrance.
Then he stepped out to open the door for the little lady.
However, the mont the door opened —
The little girl sprang out and ran in the opposite direction before anyone could catch her.
The driver panicked before running after her.
But by the ti he reached the pavent, the little one had already covered quite a distance.
"Mama!" Eira called out again loudly.
And this ti, her voice did reach Adelyn, and she froze.
