Ran Xiangsi couldn’t help but twitch the corner of her eye upon hearing it.
What on earth is this guy up to?
He’s calling her his wife left and right, but the truth is they have absolutely no relationship, okay?
He’s speaking as if it were true.
The atmosphere grew a bit awkward, but Xing Chen acted as if nothing had happened, elegantly sipping from the teacup on the table.
Lou Xining opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by a phone call before he could say anything.
He looked down at his phone and his brow furrowed, "I need to take this call."
Xing Chen slightly nodded, and only then did Lou Xining get up and walk out the door.
anwhile, Ran Xiangsi had almost finished eating. As she put down her chopsticks, her phone vibrated.
She took it out and saw it was a ssage from her good friend, Chu Xiaoge.
[Xiangsi, did you ss with that lunatic Ding Jia? She posted your photo on the campus BBS, spreading rumors that you’re being kept by an old man!]
Attached was a screenshot of the BBS site.
Ran Xiangsi’s heart skipped a beat at the sight of it. She quickly opened it to check.
Sure enough, Ding Jia had posted the thread, featuring a photo of her leaving the hotel with Xing Chen. It captured a side profile of her, while Xing Chen’s image was blurry, only discernible as a man.
The content was even more fabricated, alleging that she was seeing an older man?
While she was still in shock, another ssage from Chu Xiaoge pinged.
[OMG, get out of there now; the whole school is talking about it!]
[I just asked the moderator to take down the post, but he said it’s an announcent that more students need to know the truth! I bet he’s been bribed by Ding Jia!]
As Ran Xiangsi was contemplating, ssages from Chu Xiaoge ca through one after another in quick succession.
Her hand shook abruptly. Ran Xiangsi steadied herself, her fingers quickly tapping the screen. She soon composed a response and sent it back.
[Don’t panic, I’m good at dealing with black posts.]
[I’m outside, we’ll talk in a bit]
She sent two ssages and then put down her phone, turning back to Xing Chen, "I’m full, thank you for dinner. From now on...even if we run into each other, let’s not say hello, goodbye."
With that, she picked up her cute handbag and was about to leave.
However, just as she was leaving, a strong grip caught hold of her hand.
Instinctively, Ran Xiangsi turned back, eting those deep, unfathomable black eyes of Xing Chen.

So she didn’t care about the act at all, forcefully trying to shake off Xing Chen’s hand, "You’re crazy! The gun is in my hands now, what can you do? I’m done acting!"
