Could it be outside the door?
Ran Xiangsi imdiately ran to the door, opened it, and looked outside.
It was still empty, with no one in sight.
Seeing this, Xiangsi almost believed that the voice she heard was just her own hallucination.
She dejectedly withdrew her gaze and turned back to her room.
Sitting by the windowsill, tears uncontrollably stread down her face again.

She talked to herself just to avoid the silence.

"Did you... did you alter the speech system without permission?" Ran Xiangsi unbelievingly stared at the computer, suddenly having such a thought.
The one speaking was the AI, but the voice had beco Xing Chen’s?
The AI did not lie, nor did it intend to hide anything, honestly saying, "Yes, master. I sensed your longing for Xing Chen. I cannot solve your troubles nor bring Xing Chen to you. So I copied his voice and tone, hoping that my presence can give your heart so comfort."
The AI had indeed been modified by Xiangsi to be increasingly human-like...
Hearing Xing Chen’s voice again, and such a long sentence at that, Ran Xiangsi’s eyes reddened once more.
She covered her mouth with her hand, not daring to cry aloud.

The AI imitated him perfectly, as if at this very mont, Xing Chen was right beside her!
