Alan was still holding the knife, but after hearing Lou Xining’s words, she lost the mood to continue.

Alan firmly stated her stance.
Although she married Lou Xining and technically beca part of the Lou Family with Lou Xinyu, in the past years, she didn’t interact much with Lou Xinyu.
They all lived in the Lou Family estate but in separate villas and only gathered during holidays and festivals.
Moreover, Lou Xinyu wasn’t a pleasant person by nature, so Alan’s attitude towards her has always been lukewarm.
Lou Xining found himself caught in the middle, though he didn’t necessarily feel troubled, he couldn’t reconcile the situation no matter how he tried.
