"She wouldn’t." Xing Chen shook his head. His voice was still indifferent when he spoke, yet it was full of certainty.
"Why? Didn’t you see it with your own eyes?" Xiahou Chunyi was puzzled. He had thought Xing Chen would explode in rage; he hadn’t expected him to be this calm.
It seed things were not as simple as what he had seen on the surface.
"What did you pick up on?" Xiahou Chunyi put down the docunt in his hand and looked at Xing Chen seriously. "Or did Xiangsi give you so kind of hint?"
"No." Xing Chen shook his head decisively.
Not only had Ran Xiangsi not given him the slightest hint, she had even mysteriously gone off together with Fu Jingxuan.
At the ti he had indeed been burning with rage. He had suspected her betrayal, suspected whether there was so kind of deal between her and Fu Jingxuan!
Yet when he watched Ran Xiangsi leave following the helicopter, he saw the struggle in her eyes.
After a mont of silence, Xing Chen raised his eyes again to look at Xiahou Chunyi.
"I believe her."
"You believe her, but I don’t." Xiahou Chunyi sighed lightly and directly beckoned his aide. "Imdiately arrange manpower to investigate the helicopter’s destination. You must find that list as soon as possible!"
"Yes, Mr. President." The aide nodded and was just about to go give the orders when Xing Chen cut him off.
"Chunyi, give three days." Xing Chen frowned and blocked the aide’s way.
The aide froze for a second and turned back to look at the President.
Xiahou Chunyi frowned slightly. "Why?"
If this were just a family matter between two brothers, then fine—he would agree to Xing Chen unconditionally.
But this concerned interests between nations. Once the list was exposed, it could shatter the current world peace; it might very well even trigger a war.
Facing this rare seriousness from Xiahou Chunyi, Xing Chen’s dark eyes deepened; his thin lips moved slightly. "I’ll handle it."
Hearing this, Xiahou Chunyi fell silent for a mont.
He carefully studied Xing Chen in front of him. He knew that ever since they were young, as long as this younger brother set his mind on sothing, there was nothing he could not accomplish.
If he mobilized the country’s full network to search for the list, the matter would be exposed sooner or later. This was sothing that could only be done in secret—or left to Xing Chen to do.
Put simply, it was about diverting the public’s attention.
If Xiahou Chunyi went looking for the list, then the whole world would know the list had gone missing. By then, people would be thrown into panic and the existing order would be completely disrupted.
If Xing Chen went, then all the world would know was that a devoted husband was searching for his wife. Nothing there worth making a fuss over.

After weighing it over and over, Xiahou Chunyi decided to let Xing Chen have a try. "Two days."
However, he shortened the ti.
People—under pressure, that’s exactly when they can unleash their potential.
Besides, this was soone as exceptional as Xing Chen.
"Deal." Xing Chen nodded. At least he had fought for two days’ ti.
The people under Xiahou Chunyi’s command would do anything to complete a mission. Xing Chen could not let them hurt Xiangsi.
So he could only take action himself.
With him there, he would never let Xiangsi suffer even the slightest harm!
The aide then withdrew, knowing that every single word he had heard here tonight had to be kept secret.
The more he said to anyone outside, the closer he would be to death with every extra word.
After Xing Chen and Xiahou Chunyi finished their discussion and he was just about to leave, a light, drifting sentence ca from behind him.
