She walked to the window with her phone, gazing at the bright moon. Her longing grew heavier, so she dazedly dialed the number of the person she missed.
The phone rang three tis before it was answered, and then that light voice drifted into her ear, inadvertently stirring her heart.
"Ariel."
"Hmm, Arlo." After a slight pause, she continued, "Arlo, what are you doing? Are you looking at your phone? You picked up after only three rings."
Arlo Seys chuckled softly, his voice warm and pleasant, "I just got ho and took a shower. I was about to call you when your call ca through."
Ariel Morris softly laughed, "We have a telepathic connection."
Arlo Seys responded with an easygoing "Hmm."
"Arlo—" Ariel Morris suddenly called out, with a slightly nasally tone.
"Ariel, go ahead." Arlo Seys replied gently.
Ariel Morris thought for a mont, then looked at the moonlight outside and, with a low voice, softly said, "Arlo—sorry for today, I had so inexplicable moods that hurt you in words or actions. Arlo, forgive ."
"Ariel, you’re apologizing to over such a little thing? Is there sothing wrong with my mory? The Ariel Morris I know only acknowledges she’s right, thinking others are being unreasonable. Apologizing for such a small thing is not the Junior Sister Morris I rember, who’s as thick-skinned as a fortress wall." Arlo Seys teased.
Ariel Morris’s lips curled slightly at his words, her mood becoming three points lighter. "If I weren’t so shaless, how could I have pursued the number one God at Scenic Hill?"
Arlo Seys chuckled lightly, "Want to share so insider news with you?"
"Okay." Ariel Morris smiled, waiting for Arlo Seys’s next words.
"The results of the campus beauty election, voted by the whole school faculty and students, are out. Congratulations to Ariel Morris from Class Seven, Grade One, for winning the Campus Beauty title at Scenic Hill."
"Really?" Ariel Morris was shocked, "How do you know?"
Arlo Seys smiled slightly, "I said it’s insider news; it’s the voting results tallied by the student council."
Ariel Morris’s face lit up with joy, "Can I film a promo with you now? I beat Valeria Johnson, who had the most votes?"
Arlo Seys laughed, "Yes, congratulations to Campus Beauty Morris on taking office. Please guide well."
Ariel Morris’s eyebrows danced with delight, her face instantly becoming radiant, "Why don’t you say ’please guide well for the rest of my life’?"
"So you’re already thinking about marrying ? Hmm, guide well for the rest of your life. Ariel, you’re in quite a hurry."
"..." Ariel Morris’s smile froze, then she playfully complained, "Arlo, you need to stay away from Third Haynes. Don’t learn his thick-skinned narcissism!"
