Arlo Seys nodded teasingly, "Are you trying to remind not to forget your gift?"
Ariel Morris pursed her lips and chuckled softly, "Of course, right after Christmas is my birthday. Two gifts, neither can be missed."
"I’ve already prepared them." Arlo’s eyes were full of affection, his tone gentle.
"Really?" Ariel was surprised, "Arlo, can you give them to in advance?"
"No way, I have to save it for Christmas. The surprise can only be revealed at the crucial mont."
"Alright then..." Ariel compromised.
Her decision was to plan for her birthday... and coincidentally, her birthday was just the day after Christmas.
If they were to break up, then these two gifts might be the first Arlo ever gave her, and also the last. So, these gifts held significant aning to her, which is why she’d been wanting them so much.

Ti flew by, and before they knew it, it was Christmas Eve.
The weather forecast predicted snow, and indeed, heavy snow fell on Christmas Eve.
Christmas Eve was a Friday, and in the afternoon, Arlo and Ariel had arranged to et Dawn Sutherland and Nico Haynes to go to Red Fragrance Hill to enjoy the snow.
Braving the heavy snow, Arlo and Ariel shared an umbrella as they climbed the hill, chatting and laughing, feeling sweet and happy.
Nico, walking ahead, turned back to complain, "Hey, can you two hurry up? You dragged out here to climb a hill in this freezing weather! Seriously, I’d rather be at ho sleeping, freezing to death here!"
Dawn smiled gently and agreed, "I feel like the two of us are just a pair of kilowatt light bulbs, glowing brightly."
Ariel accepted their teasing with a bright smile, "Brother Dawn, getting out of singlehood is just a minute away for you. So many girls at school are waiting for you to just give them a glance, hurry up and find soone!"
Dawn smiled but before he could answer, Nico cut in, "Second is practically a monk, avoiding won. I seriously suspect he likes n!"
Dawn pursed his lips, "Third Haynes, zip it!"
What kind of brothers are these? Always tarnishing his reputation. Just because he doesn’t have a girlfriend doesn’t an he’s gay, right?
Ariel asked curiously, "No way, I once saw Brother Dawn at the school gate chatting and laughing with a girl, they seed very familiar," she said with a mischievous smile, looking at Dawn, "Brother Dawn, be honest, are you hiding a girl away?"
"No, Ariel, you’re overthinking it." Dawn was amused and helpless.
"Impossible! I saw you were really good to that girl, chatting and laughing. And that girl, she was really pretty, so classy, practically goddess-like!" Ariel objected seriously.
Beside them, Arlo smiled faintly, reached out to ruffle Ariel’s hair gently, his voice soft and pleasant, "You saw Dawn familiar with that girl? Then I know who it was."
Upon Arlo’s hint, Nico suddenly realized, "The Grant family’s heiress — Daisy Grant!"
Dawn seed to recall sothing; he looked gently at Ariel and asked, "Was it Tuesday you saw , Ariel? Daisy ca to see that day, and I t her at the school gate."
Ariel raised an eyebrow with a playful smile, "Got sothing going on?"
Nico sneered, pouring cold water on it, "Sothing going on, my ass, that’s Second’s future sister-in-law!"
Ariel looked at Dawn in shock, not able to believe it.
Brother Dawn, so gentle and elegant, standing next to that Daisy Grant, really seed like a perfect match, and it turns out they’re going to be an in-law relationship?
This is such a huge misunderstanding, such a lodramatic twist....
Arlo took Ariel’s hand and calmly clarified, "Daisy Grant is indeed Dawn’s sister-in-law, engaged to Dawn’s half-brother Aidan Sutherland since childhood."
At this point, Arlo glanced at his good friend Dawn, who smiled lightly, his face calm, "Daisy is a good girl, Aidan is lucky."
