Arlo Seys looked at the still-crying Ariel Morris, feeling a deep ache in his heart. He pressed his lips, thought for a mont, then softly spoke, his voice slightly dry, "Help pour a glass of water."
His voice startled the crying Ariel Morris, with tears still hanging on her face, she looked at Arlo Seys, who she hadn’t realized had opened his eyes, in disbelief, joy evident on her face, "Arlo Seys—Arlo Seys—when did you wake up?"
Arlo Seys moved his body slightly, "Pour a glass of water first."
"...Okay." Ariel Morris quickly maneuvered her wheelchair to pour water for him.
As she turned around, she hurriedly wiped the tears from her face, smiling, and poured a glass of water to bring back to the person on the bed.
Arlo Seys moved his body, and Ariel Morris helped him place a cushion behind his back.
Arlo Seys sat up, holding the tea, and drank it in one go. As he placed the cup on the cabinet beside him, his gaze inadvertently swept towards Ariel Morris, only then realizing she was in a wheelchair.
Arlo Seys furrowed his brows slightly, his tone indifferent, "What happened to your leg?"
Ariel Morris pressed her lips, her face filled with sorrow and bleakness, "It’s broken—Arlo Seys, my leg is broken, what should I do? Will anyone want ?"
Arlo Seys paused, glanced at her, and blurted out, "No one wanting you is even better."
No one wanting her is exactly as he hopes, he can then keep her within his circle.
His words hit Ariel Morris’ ears with a different aning, Ariel Morris bit her lip and looked at him, "...How can you speak with such cruelty?"
Did he just want to see her end up unwanted?
"Anyway, I’ll take care of you, what are you afraid of?" Arlo Seys said indifferently.
Ariel Morris looked at him in shock, disbelief all over her face, thinking she might have misheard, "What...what did you just say?"
