"Oh~~~~~" Callan grinned aningfully, teasing Ariel Morris with a raised eyebrow, "The future Mrs. President?"
Ariel Morris’ face flushed red, "There’s nothing like that..."
"Callan, are you idle?!" Arlo Seys’ voice ca from the staircase behind.
Callan and Ariel Morris both turned their heads to see Arlo Seys walking closer with steady, impressive steps, sitting down on the sofa.
"President Seys!" Callan smiled obsequiously at his boss, respectfully handing over the docunts to Arlo Seys.
Arlo Seys took the docunts, gave Callan a sidelong glance, and spoke with a cold voice, "Callan, have you been quite idle recently as a special assistant?"
Callan paused, then hurriedly shook his head in confusion, "Boss, during your sick leave, I’ve been busy to the brink of insanity! How could I be idle! Boss, I’m asking for a raise!"
Arlo Seys snorted coldly, "I think you seem quite idle."
Callan looked at his boss’s inexplicable arrogance, feeling like crying but without tears. When did he offend his boss? He clearly hadn’t said anything significant, only exchanged a few words with Miss Morris-----
