Three days later, it was Nico Haynes’ birthday.

Arlo Seys, clad in formal attire, casually leaned against the wall, silently waiting for Ariel Morris to change clothes in the room.
Before long, Ariel Morris stepped out in a fiery red strapless gown.
Arlo Seys turned to look at her; it was the first ti he had seen her dressed so vibrantly. Her curvaceous figure was accentuated by her snow-white skin, unexpectedly alluring. Imagining her appearing before everyone like this, she would surely stun the crowd. The thought of other n drooling over her made him frown.
"How do I look?" Ariel Morris spread her arms, gently twirling, then blinked her large eyes and asked him.
Arlo Seys’ eyes darkened, but his face remained impassive, "Not good, you’d better change, or people might think you’re headed to a nightclub."
Ariel Morris glanced down at her outfit and mumbled, "Is it really that bad? I was hoping to outshine everyone at Nico Haynes’ birthday party tonight!"
If she doesn’t outshine everyone, how can she be God Seys’ companion?
"There’s no ti left; change or don’t, it’s up to you." Arlo Seys spoke indifferently.
It’s not that she looked bad, but she was stunning enough to draw too much attention; he didn’t want other n to covet her, not even in fantasies.
Feeling dejected, Ariel Morris closed the door, deciding to change after all; if even God Seys said so, it probably didn’t look good. Better to heed advice than face embarrassnt at the party.
Seeing Ariel Morris obediently turn to change her dress, Arlo Seys’ lips curved slightly.
Once again, the door opened, and Ariel Morris erged in a white lace gown, hugging her slender petite figure. A shiny platinum tiara adorned her ink-black hair. Her exquisite face, accompanied by a sweet dimple, asked, "How about now?"
"Barely passing, let’s go!" Arlo Seys said and strode forward.
"Hey, Arlo, wait for ." Ariel Morris lifted her skirt hem and hurriedly chased after him in high heels.
Catching up to him, she noticed he was already dressed in formal attire. His black suit perfectly embodied his noble aura, making her exclaim, "My Arlo, you look handso in anything."
Arlo Seys paused slightly, replying indifferently, "Naturally beautiful."
Then he continued walking forward.
Ariel Morris: "..."
Was God Seys implying she was ugly? He couldn’t help his natural beauty, was she so unattractive that she needed clothes to compensate?
Following Arlo Seys, she got in the car but didn’t see Nicole.
"Aren’t we waiting for Nicole?"
"She was already picked up by Third Haynes; tonight she’s acting as his companion."
"Nico Haynes has so many girlfriends, not one can hold a candle?" Ariel Morris chuckled mischievously.
"If there were, he wouldn’t have asked Nicole. Uncle Haynes absolutely won’t allow those ssy people to tarnish the reputation." Arlo Seys tapped lightly on the steering wheel and said.
"But Nicole shouldn’t be the choice either, she hasn’t even had a boyfriend yet!" Ariel Morris protested angrily, "It’s like reducing a flower to a heap of dung, Nico Haynes got lucky."
"It’s just a simple gathering, not as complex as you think." Arlo Seys’ deep eyes rippled with amusent.
The car stopped at the venue for Nico Haynes’ birthday party.
Arlo Seys and Ariel Morris got out of the car together. The venue was grand, a luxurious European-style villa, even the carved iron gate was rich with European flair.
Thinking about attending the party with business leaders, City C’s socialites, and even celebrities, Ariel Morris felt extrely nervous, her body trembling uncontrollably.
All those people were top-tier figures in high society; she was just an ordinary person without the credentials to attend such an event. Though the Morris Family was sowhat influential, it was always Scarlett Morris who attended.
Arlo Seys sensed her tension and unease, and casually locked fingers with hers, intertwining them tightly.
