Arlo Seys’ eyes deepened, "Ariel Morris, if I go into politics, my whole life will be arranged by my family, including my marriage."
Including marriage-----if Arlo goes into politics, he will definitely marry a socialite arranged by his parents from the political circle, so------
Ariel Morris suddenly raised her eyes, feeling a sharp pain at the corners, "Arlo, you----gave up politics for business because..."
Arlo Seys smiled faintly, "Before I t you, I always followed my parents’ arrangents. But after eting you during my youth, I changed my inner thoughts and no longer wanted my parents to arrange my life. Only the path I choose myself gives more voice and choice, including my own marriage."
Ariel Morris bit her lip, holding back her tears, and affectionately called Arlo Seys a "fool."
"Because I t soone who makes act foolish, and I’m willing to be foolish for them."
Ariel Morris tilted her head up and gently pecked Arlo Seys’ slightly cool thin lips, and smiled, "It’s great, I also like your foolishness, and I’ll love it for a lifeti."
Arlo Seys chuckled teasingly, "Mrs. Seys hasn’t changed her thick skin."
Ariel Morris pursed her lips and smiled faintly, "If I had thin skin, I wouldn’t have been able to chase the cold and indifferent you all this life; luckily, my thick skin allowed to win my dream man."
"Very good, very good," Arlo Seys patted Ariel Morris’ soft hair, "Mrs. Seys, keep it up, thick skin is best for a lifeti, so no matter how hard the wind blows or the rain falls, nothing can separate us."
Ariel Morris nodded solemnly, "I’ll go make noodles for you, and you help charge my phone, it’s out of battery." Ariel said, taking out her phone and handing it to Arlo Seys, "Shall I make egg noodles for you?"
Arlo Seys took the phone with a smile and nodded, "I still have so work to finish, I’ll get back to work first, call when it’s ready."
"Okay."
Ariel Morris went downstairs to cook noodles, while Arlo Seys plugged Ariel’s phone in to charge and sat at the desk to keep working.
Just as he finished dealing with a docunt, Ariel Morris’ phone started ringing repeatedly, sounding particularly jarring in the quiet room, interrupting Arlo Seys’ thoughts.
Arlo Seys simply walked over intending to put the phone on silent, but the phone rang noisily again. Arlo unlocked the screen and saw there were about ten ssages, all notified once it had enough battery to turn on, obviously sent altogether.
Fearing soone had sothing important for Ariel, Arlo Seys opened the ssages.
In his view were seven or eight notifications of missed calls, showing that during the ti Ariel was on her way ho, Langdon Seal and soone nad Vanessa had both called her.
When Arlo Seys saw Langdon Seal’s na, his gaze deepened. Langdon Seal not only called several tis but also sent Ariel a ssage.
Langdon Seal: "Ariel, are you ho yet? I was impulsive today, sorry if I caused you any trouble."
Arlo Seys pursed his lips, telling himself not to overthink, to trust Ariel, as she said she only had friendship with Langdon Seal, not love.
As Arlo was about to put down the phone and return to the desk to handle docunts, another ssage ca in, sent by Vanessa.
Arlo Seys casually clicked to look, and saw the ssage saying, "Ariel, why did you turn off your phone? Thanks for helping invite Movie King Seal today! By the way, was I a good enough sister today? Helped you indirectly figure out Movie King Seal’s feelings! He says he likes you seriously, right? He once gave a girl a gift, the gift should be for you!"
Arlo Seys’ fingertip suddenly beca rigid, the phone then dinged again with a new ssage, still from Vanessa.
"Just a guess, but Movie King Seal probably gave you that bracelet on your left wrist!"
