Langdon Seal’s eyes deepened as he took the phone out of Ariel Morris’s pocket, gazing at her flushed cheeks with a composed expression.
Eventually, he unlocked Ariel’s phone, opened the main screen, and found the contact labeled ’Arlo.’
Langdon pressed the dial button, sighed heavily, and waited for Arlo Seys to answer.
The phone rang three tis, but no one answered. Langdon’s eyes flickered as he pulled out his own phone and dialed Arlo’s number.
anwhile, at the Royal One KTV, Arlo Seys, Dawn Sutherland, and Nico Haynes were drinking when the phone rang. It was the special ringtone he set specifically for Ariel Morris.
As the phone rang, Dawn and Nico both looked at him. Arlo raised his glass and downed his drink, then said calmly, "Don’t worry about it, let’s keep drinking."
Dawn and Nico exchanged a glance and continued drinking with him.
The ringing stopped after three rings, not to be heard again. As Arlo lifted his glass to drink, his peripheral vision inadvertently swept over the phone on the coffee table, his eyes flickered, but he quickly returned to his natural deanor and continued drinking with his two good friends.
Just after swallowing the drink, the phone rang again, but this ti it was not the special ringtone he had set for Ariel Morris. He picked up the phone and saw it was an unfamiliar number, not soone in his contacts.
Arlo hesitated for a mont but still pressed the answer button.
As soon as the call was connected, Langdon Seal’s voice faintly sounded, "It’s , Langdon Seal."
Arlo’s fingers paused on the wine glass, then he asked coldly, "What do you want?"
"I heard you and Ariel had a fight?" Langdon’s voice was still very calm.
"It’s none of your business," Arlo’s voice remained icy.
Langdon responded with an "Oh," and said, "I was just asking casually. Since you two fought, I have a better chance now."
Arlo’s thin lips pressed into a line, "Langdon Seal, what exactly are you trying to say?"
He was in a foul mood, and Langdon was still pestering him! Arlo’s voice was cold to the point of having no warmth.
"Do you want to know everything about Ariel in Dublin, Arlo Seys?"
Langdon’s words at that mont, in Arlo’s ears, sounded like a boast about the eight years Ariel and Langdon spent together in Dublin, which Arlo could never compare to! Arlo’s anger soared by three degrees, his voice indifferent, "We’ve already broken up, there’s no need to know."
Langdon’s gentle voice ca through, "That’s good. Since you broke up, it makes things much easier for . Arlo Seys, Ariel and I are in a hotel now. Since you’ve broken up, if I end up doing sothing, it wouldn’t count as stealing soone away, right? It wouldn’t be despicable, would it? I’ve been secretly in love with Ariel for eight years, and I can’t hold back anymore! Arlo, thank you for letting this happen, I sincerely thank you and wish you find true love soon."
Just as Langdon was about to hang up, Arlo’s cold voice interrupted, "Where are you eting?"
Langdon laughed lightly, "Oh, don’t bother, President Seys, my goddess of eight years is lying on the bed, drunk and unconscious. Would I miss such an opportunity? After all, she and I drank, at most I can bla it on a drunk mistake. How can I pass this up?"
Arlo’s cold eyes squinted, his voice low and warning, "Langdon Seal, try touching her! If you dare take off one piece of her clothing, I’ll skin you alive!"
Langdon chuckled indifferently, "For Ariel, what does it matter if I get skinned? If, after one night, she ends up pregnant with my child, our chances develop greatly." With that, Langdon ended the call with Arlo.
Langdon looked at the person asleep on the bed, a hint of bitterness curling at the corners of his mouth.
