At this mont, Arlo Seys’s face was even more flushed than before. Dawn Sutherland and Nico Haynes knew at a glance that he must have drunk several bottles alone tonight.
Arlo was always calm and collected, rarely getting drunk. What on earth happened today to make him lose his composure and drown his sorrows?
Nico Haynes was never one to hold back words, and fueled by the drink, he simply opened the floodgates, "Boss Seys, did Ariel Morris provoke you?"
Other than Ariel Morris, he really couldn’t think of anything that could make the mature and steady Arlo panic!
Arlo Seys’s expression froze, his eyes cold, and he said nothing.
Dawn Sutherland gently nudged Nico Haynes with his elbow, signaling him to watch Arlo’s expression and be mindful of his language.
Nico Haynes straightened his face, "I’m just saying, Boss Seys, what’s so special about Ariel Morris that you can’t stop thinking about her? And, eight years ago, what exactly happened? How did you two break up so abruptly?"
Arlo Seys held onto his wine glass, his eyes fixed on the liquid as his voice turned ethereal and distant.
"I want to know too. Eight years ago, how did such a loving pair of us change overnight?"
Through the liquid in the wine glass, Arlo Seys’s thoughts drifted back to that year, then his deep voice slowly echoed.
"Eight years ago, three days before the breakup, it was a weekend and also Ariel Morris’s birthday. I received a text ssage from Ariel, saying she needed to save her, along with an address and room number."
"I rushed to the place, found the hotel room, and discovered Ariel Morris lying on the bed in the room, sothing was definitely wrong with her."
"After inquiry, I found out that she had been drugged."
Nico Haynes exclaid, "You two slept together?"
Dawn Sutherland was also looking at Arlo Seys in shock.
Arlo Seys shook the wine glass in his hand, drank a sip, and when he spoke again, his voice was sowhat hoarse, "Yes, we slept together."
"At that ti I thought, after all, we are a couple, at most it was just premarital affairs. I, Arlo Seys, intended from the heart to marry Ariel Morris for life, never to let her down!"

"I was instantly dumbfounded. We had been so in love before, why did she abruptly ask to break up?"

By the end, Dawn Sutherland and Nico Haynes could sense the sadness, helplessness, and heartache in Arlo Seys’s words.
"Damn! Ariel Morris really has guts!" Nico Haynes was furious.
Compared to Nico Haynes’s indignation, Dawn Sutherland was much calr, looking at Arlo Seys, he said solemnly, "Arlo, didn’t you ask Ariel why she wanted to break up? You didn’t find out eight years ago, but now that you’ve reunited, you should ask clearly!"
Arlo Seys sneered, "Rember the Morris Clan crisis eight years ago? We didn’t even know Ariel Morris was the Morris family’s eldest daughter, and she... If I wasn’t a Seys family young master, Ariel probably wouldn’t even have interacted with !"
Nico Haynes took a deep breath, "Eight years ago, Ariel Morris deliberately approached you to let the Seys Family help the Morris Clan turn crisis into safety?!"
