As soon as the host finished speaking, soone imdiately raised their paddle and shouted, "One hundred fifty thousand!"

Ariel Morris sat next to Jorge Saxton, looking at the painting with a face full of confusion, "What’s so special about this painting?"
The painting depicted a girl in a pristine white wedding dress standing in front of a chapel, the bouquet in her hand having fallen to the ground, while the entire hall was empty...
Jorge Saxton looked at the painting, feeling a sharp pain in his heart, and instinctively glanced at the familiar back sitting in the front right.
Beside that familiar figure was another tall man, and Lydia Brooke looked so delicate and dependent next to him. The two sat side by side, chatting and laughing, the scene was so heartwarming it stung his eyes...
Just as Jorge was lost in thought, he heard Howard Saxton’s voice, arrogant and determined, "One million!"
The entire room instantly fell silent.
A work of unknown origin, yet the opening bid was one million! So people in the room recognized Howard’s identity and couldn’t help but exclaim, "The Saxton Family in City T is truly rich."
"Is he the young master of the Saxton Family?"
"Yes, the eldest young master of the Saxton Family, for such an obscure random work, it actually bid for one million! The Saxton Family is really wealthy!"
Comnts filled the air, and Howard’s face bore a look of disdain and arrogance as he glanced at Ariel Morris and Jorge Saxton.
So what if they’re legitimate heirs? To outsiders, he and his sister Susan Saxton are the real young master and lady of the Saxton Family, the true heirs of the Saxton Clan!
Jorge’s eyes were still lost on the painting, while Ariel glanced at him, thinking he would raise his paddle, but Jorge’s hand rested on his knee without any movent, only his knuckles were sowhat pale.
"Bro? What’s wrong? What’s with this painting, is sothing off?" Ariel noticed his oddness and asked with concern.
Jorge’s fingers tightened, he grasped his knee hard, and his face was a bit off.
What’s wrong with this painting? --- It was painted by her, by Lydia.
The wedding, she stood alone in the church, waiting in vain for him...
"Jorge, I’m waiting for you in the church, will you co?"

On the stage, the host slamd the gavel, "One million, going once!"
Howard’s face bore a wild smile, as he glanced at Ariel Morris and Jorge Saxton.
Ariel t Howard’s gaze, her eyes cold, unwilling to engage, turning her attention back to Jorge, "Bro, do you want this painting? If so, hurry and bid for it!"
Does he want this painting? He was the one who ruined all those beautiful mories, what use is a painting?
A painting can’t bring back Lydia, or the deep love she once had for him.
Jorge’s eyes were slightly lowered, his face pale without a word.
Ariel gave her brother a glance, her gaze fell thoughtfully on the back of Lydia in the front row.
Old friend----a person from her brother’s story.
"One million, going twice!" the host on stage announced again.
Just as the gavel was about to co down to confirm Howard’s acquisition of the painting, Ariel suddenly stood up and blurted out without hesitation, "Ten million!"
The entire room turned their attention to Ariel Morris.
"Holy shit, are they crazy? Ten million for an obscure painting! It’s not even by a famous artist! It’s a definite loss, with no collection value!"
"Damn! Who is this girl? With money to burn?!"
