Ariel Morris wiped her tears, recalling the kindness her brother had shown her. Her voice involuntarily turned low and choked with a touch of sob: "Brother, how about this, if you don’t feel assured, have an expert co over to check my health. I haven’t been feeling very well these past couple of days. Could you have an expert co to accompany on the flight to Italy? I’m afraid sothing unexpected might happen to my body on the plane."
Jorge Saxton’s voice rang out, tinged with urgency: "Not feeling well? I’ll have an expert fly to City C to pick you up right away, and then fly to Italy together."
"Okay, thank you, brother."
After hanging up the phone, Ariel Morris looked at the word "brother" displayed in her phone contacts, a trace of guilt creeping onto her face.
Brother----I’m sorry, I lied to you.
I’m just trying to buy a few days’ ti. I’m sorry, please give a few days. Brother... I’m sorry.
By the ti Ariel Morris returned to Royal View City, night had already fallen. She got out of the car, walked to the front door, and reached out her slender finger to enter the password at the small side door beside it.
The four-digit birthday password made her bite her lower lip hard to hold back her tears.
With her head lowered, Ariel Morris walked into the living room. On the second-floor balcony, where she couldn’t see, a person smoking trembled violently.
Ariel Morris returned ho, turned on the living room lights, changed her shoes, and went into the kitchen to cook so noodles.
When Ariel Morris brought her noodles to the dining table, a tall figure descended the stairs from the second floor. Seeing that figure, Ariel was sowhat surprised.
"Arlo, you’re at ho?! Then why didn’t you turn on the living room lights?"
When she asked, Arlo Seys was already stepping down the stairs, walking towards her, his eyes deep and unfathomable.
"Arlo, when did you get back from work?"
"Arlo, have you eaten yet? I made so noodles. Should I serve you so?"
After Ariel Morris asked three questions, Arlo Seys, who had been pressing his lips tightly together with a cold and indifferent look on his face, sat down opposite her, glanced at her, and replied calmly, "No, I haven’t."
"Then I’ll get you so." Ariel Morris smiled softly, got up, and went to serve Arlo Seys so noodles.
Arlo Seys’ gaze was constantly following the busy person, his facial lines tense and his eyes unfathomable.
When Ariel Morris sat back down, she handed the noodles to Arlo Seys and smiled gently, her voice soft: "Arlo, how was Susan Saxton’s situation at the police station today?"
Arlo Seys ate his noodles slowly, very slowly, elegantly and gracefully, and replied blandly, "Susan will be bailed out."
Ariel Morris’ fingers paused, her eyes filled with surprise, and she hurriedly spoke: "How can that be? She committed three cris and is about to go to trial. How could she possibly be bailed out? Is it the Saxton Family? Is the Saxton Family so powerful that they can reach City C?"
Arlo Seys continued eating his noodles without replying.
No matter how powerful the Saxton Family was, in City C, they couldn’t overpower the Seys Family! If he hadn’t relented to the police, Susan couldn’t even dream of being bailed out.
He allowed Susan a few days of respite purely because of the secret she exchanged. And Susan, he could ruin her once, he could ruin her twice! And next ti, simply serving ti wouldn’t be enough to repay the debt owed to the Morris and Saxton Families!!
What he promised Susan was just a few days’ respite, not a lifeti of freedom for her!
With his head lowered, Arlo Seys’ eyes burst with a cold glimr, his hand gripping the chopsticks tightly, filled with boundless coldness and hatred.
Ariel Morris took small bites of her noodles, not speaking further, her mood sowhat heavy.
It was hard enough watching Susan finally get her retribution, and now she was being bailed out—this really upset her!
But fortunately, it was just bail; if Susan were released without charges, she would truly hate the unfairness of the law!
