Young Master Seys’ teasing at this mont left Ariel Morris in no mood to respond. She furrowed her brow deeply, her eyes on Callan Walkers: "Hasn’t Arlo Seys been missing for three or four days?"
Callan Walkers nodded, leaned closer to Ariel’s face, and raised an eyebrow: "Miss Morris, did you and President Seys have a fight? President Seys has never skipped work before. This is the first ti since Era was established that he’s skipped work, and it’s been for several consecutive days! It’s almost record-breaking for Era, the head boss skipping for five days....."
The panic and fear in Ariel Morris’ heart deepened further. She glanced at Callan Walkers and said in a low voice, "I haven’t seen him for a few days either. He hasn’t co ho."
"President Seys is missing?!" Callan Walkers exclaid, noticing Ariel Morris’ serious expression didn’t look like she was joking, his expression turned grave as well, "What on earth has happened to President Seys? How can he just disappear like this without a trace? He’s not answering calls either!"
Ariel Morris turned around and walked out, instructing Callan Walkers: "Please handle the company affairs, Special Assistant Walkers. I’m going to find Arlo!"
Callan Walkers imdiately responded: "Got it!"
Ariel Morris left Era, hailed a cab on the roadside, and headed to her destination.
Forty minutes later, Ariel Morris stood at the entrance of the police station, walking heavily inside.
The people at the station saw her co in and imdiately stopped her, asking, "Are you here to file a report or sothing? Why are you barging in like this?"
Ariel Morris looked at the officer and replied softly, "I want to see your commissioner."
"Are you so relative of our commissioner or what?" The young officer looked at her and asked.
Ariel Morris shook her head, "No, I want to see a criminal of yours, so I’m asking your commissioner for a favor."
The officer glanced at Ariel Morris and sneered, his voice carrying scorn: "You think you can just et our commissioner whenever you want? He’s busy! Our commissioner is occupied!"
Ariel Morris pressed her lips together, looking at the young officer in front of her, she said calmly: "My fiancé’s surna is Seys."
If she didn’t ntion the Seys Family’s na, she probably wouldn’t even get to see the commissioner.
"I don’t care if your surna is Stone or Mountain, missy, our police station is busy. If you want to see a criminal, apply for it and wait for an open day when all families are allowed to et the criminals, understand?" The officer sounded sowhat impatient as he looked at Ariel Morris.
Ariel Morris didn’t leave; she stood her ground, her eyes coldly clear: "My fiancé is Arlo Seys of Era Enterprise, the eldest son of the Seys Family. This last na isn’t common; when you ntion Era and the Seys Family, your commissioner will understand."
Understand! How could he not understand?! The young
officer was instantly shocked, giving Ariel Morris a surprised glance, standing there with disbelief in his eyes.
The relationship between Era and the Seys Family is known by everyone, and the reputation of the Seys Family in City C is virtually unmatched! The young officer’s attitude did a 180-degree turn, astounding everyone, as he respectfully invited Ariel Morris into the station.
Holy crap ---- my brain must not have woken up clear! He almost inadvertently offended Young Madam Seys!! If the commissioner finds out, he’d definitely be in for it!!
The young officer led Ariel Morris to the reception room, repeatedly apologizing for his earlier attitude. Ariel Morris did not mind the earlier episode and quietly waited for the commissioner to arrive.
The commissioner soon entered the reception room, and when he saw Ariel Morris sitting on the chair, he looked puzzled for a mont before approaching with a smile and asked amicably, "Young Madam Seys, who would you like to see? Little Woody already told about your purpose."
The commissioner wore a smile, but couldn’t help but wonder internally: What’s up with the feng shui at the police station lately? Young Master Seys was here just a few days ago, and now Young Madam Seys is here too. It’s really strange!
