Just as Dawn Sutherland was about to angrily ask Daisy Grant if she was playing a prank on him, a blood-red hand extended from the opened gift box, slapping Dawn in the face.
Dawn was first sprayed with the red liquid, then hit by a red hand. Holding the gift, he gritted his teeth and glared at Daisy, "You’re ssing with , Daisy Grant?"
Dawn’s face was filled with anger, along with red liquid, making him look sowhat terrifying and horrifying, which startled Daisy. She imdiately shook her head in a panic to explain, "I didn’t, I didn’t, second brother, don’t be mad."
Dawn coldly questioned Daisy, "Is this the surprise you were talking about? It’s a total scare!"
Dawn’s icy tone made Daisy cry, and his cold expression frightened her. "No, second brother, the shopkeeper said whoever receives this gift would be surprised, so I bought it. He said it was a sweet gift... second brother, I didn’t know it would be like this, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry."
Seeing the red liquid on Dawn’s face and the white T-shirt, the always neat and clean second brother looked unusually disheveled. Daisy realized she was tricked and had made a mistake. She earnestly apologized several tis.
Dawn realized Daisy didn’t seem to be joking with him, and since she’d been calling him second brother for days, he couldn’t stay mad. He pulled out a tissue from his pocket to wipe the red liquid off his face, looking sowhat more relaxed.
Daisy sneaked a look at Dawn’s expression and was relieved to see his anger dissipating. She reached to wipe so of the red liquid off Dawn’s clothes and tasted it with her fingertip.
"Don’t eat that! You dare put anything in your mouth, aren’t you afraid of poisoning yourself?!" Dawn imdiately scolded her.
But it was too late; Daisy had already put her fingers in her mouth, licking the red liquid off.
"Spit it out! Daisy, are you crazy?!" Dawn didn’t know why, but he felt especially nervous and scared, fearing Daisy would get sick from eating the wrong thing.
Daisy tasted it, furrowing her brows for a mont, as if not satisfied. She then reached into the gift box in Dawn’s hand again, sared so of the contents, and put it in her mouth.
"You’re still eating! Daisy, were you starving in a past life?!" Dawn scolded her with a hint of anger.
After tasting it again, Daisy’s eyes brightened, and she excitedly pointed at the red liquid on Dawn’s clothes, saying, "It’s strawberry jam! This red liquid is edible! It’s strawberry jam!"
Do you know how Dawn felt at that mont? A row of "Oh crap" flashed through his mind.
While he was still moping, Daisy leaned in close to his face, her smile mischievous, "Second brother, the shopkeeper said the gift is called ’Surprise, Sweet Surprise.’ Actually, the shopkeeper wasn’t lying. This gift sure surprised us! This strawberry jam is sweet, making it a sweet surprise indeed."
"....." Right then, Dawn decided to bow his head and continue crafting his dragonfly, ignoring Daisy.
Whether she was joyful or not, he wasn’t sure, but he only felt surprised, not joyful.
Seeing Dawn bow his head to weave sothing, ignoring her, Daisy pouted and took the gift box Dawn had set down. She leaned in to look at the blood hand and suddenly exclaid, "Second brother! This blood hand is a lollipop! You can eat it!!"

Dawn was completely floored by this gift.
Fortunately, they were just kids, able to pass it off as a childish prank. But if it were so guy giving this to a girl he liked as a confession, and if the girl happened to be wearing a white dress for her birthday party, that would definitely lead to a breakup...
