"What’s the matter, Camden? Is it urgent? I’ve been a bit exhausted lately, so if it’s not pressing, can I sleep a little more?" Ariel Morris’s expression was very heavy, and she indeed looked tired.
Camden’s gaze fell on Ariel Morris’s abdon, his voice growing more solemn, "Miss Ariel----you should hurry downstairs. Young Master Saxton is in a rage; it’s better not to provoke him."
"Why is my brother so mad this early morning? Who offended him?" Ariel Morris knit her brows slightly and asked Camden, perplexed.
Camden’s gaze fixed on Ariel Morris, and the expression in his eyes was evident.
Ariel Morris noticed Camden’s gaze, her brows furrowing further, and her voice carried so surprise, "Camden, what do you an with that look? Did I offend my brother? Don’t joke! I’ve been sleeping the whole ti and haven’t even gone downstairs yet! How could I offend my brother so early?"
Camden was silent for three seconds, "...Miss Ariel, you’d better go downstairs imdiately, or Young Master Saxton’s anger will worsen, and you’re the one who’ll face the consequences of the storm."
Ariel Morris shrank back into her room, "Well----I don’t have the ability to face a storm; I don’t want to go. Camden, is my brother really furious?"
Camden nodded, "Miss Ariel, this ti it’s the biggest anger I’ve ever seen from Young Master Saxton. Miss Ariel, take care of yourself; it’s wise to go downstairs quickly."
Ariel Morris shrank further into the room, quietly asking Camden, "Is Brother Langdon at Clearflower Estate?"
If Brother Langdon were here, he could at least protect her a bit when her brother was angry and help bear so of the storm.
"Young Master Seal went out early in the morning and hasn’t returned." Camden replied, urging Ariel Morris again, "Miss Ariel, you should hurry downstairs, or Young Master Saxton’s rage could grow even stronger."
Ariel Morris looked at Camden, tentatively asking, "Have I----offended my brother in any way? Camden, please kindly give a hint?"
Camden glanced at Ariel Morris, replying solemnly, "It’s related to your health; just hurry downstairs."
With Camden’s urging once more, Ariel Morris had no choice but to step out of her room and follow Camden downstairs to face the wrath of her brother.
Ariel Morris and Camden reached the stairs. Ariel Morris sneaked a glance at Jorge Saxton sitting on the sofa, his resolute face cold and devoid of warmth. An icy chill was wafting through the entire living room, making Ariel Morris shiver involuntarily.
What could possibly cause her brother to be so furious? She hadn’t concealed her illness from him, telling him everything honestly. Why would he be angry over her health issue?
With a heart full of trepidation, Ariel Morris followed Camden toward Jorge Saxton. Looking at Jorge Saxton sitting on the sofa, Ariel Morris approached, a radiant smile on her face, dimples blossoming gently, and in a cautious, soft voice, she greeted Jorge Saxton, "Good morning, brother."
There’s no harm in smiling; surely her brother wouldn’t lose his temper seeing her cheerful deanor?
With this thought, Ariel Morris’s smile grew even more bright.
Jorge Saxton’s gaze swept over Ariel Morris.
Cold, cold, intensely cold; that was Ariel Morris’s first reaction to Jorge Saxton’s gaze. The icy depths of his eyes carried overwhelming rage, a strong fire ready to erupt.
Her brother was always nurturing and indulgent in her presence; Ariel Morris had never seen Jorge Saxton so cold. She imdiately straightened her posture, softly asking Jorge Saxton, "Brother, did I do sothing wrong?"
Jorge Saxton let out a cold laugh, his tone utterly icy, "Ariel Morris, did you do sothing wrong? Isn’t it too late to ask that now?"
