Jorge Saxton stayed by Ariel Morris’s side, holding her fingers, feeling her tremble. When his gaze fell on her face, her pallor as white as snow directly imprinted into Jorge Saxton’s eyes, and the depths of his eyes held pain and tenderness.
Doctor Chapman, holding an anesthetic, softly said to Ariel Morris, who lay on the hospital bed with vacant eyes, "Miss Morris, I’m going to give you anesthesia now, and then proceed with the surgery."
Ariel Morris’s eyes were vacant, showing no response, only her body trembled more and more severely.
