Nico Haynes: "... Boss, close your eyes, I’m going to give Little Girl Morris a hard ti!! Just pretend you didn’t see anything!"
Arlo Seys glanced indifferently at Nico Haynes, "Feel free to try putting your hand near Ariel."
"Boss, there’s murderous intent in your eyes, I’m scared!" Nico Haynes shuffled back a little.
Ariel Morris raised an eyebrow and gave Nico Haynes a mischievous smile, "With my man supporting , it feels great to walk sideways."
Nico Haynes looked resentfully at Arlo Seys, "Boss, your taste is really off. Who is this love-at-first-sight person? What’s so great about Little Girl Morris? What virtues does she have? Other than an extre lack of sha, I just don’t understand how you ended up falling for her back then!"
Arlo Seys glanced at his brother, his expression indifferent, his tone even more so as he replied, "Your taste is great? Back at your birthday party, you couldn’t even bring a decent female companion, and in the end, you had to walk the red carpet with Nicole. Which one of your past N girlfriends wasn’t a run-of-the-mill beauty? Maybe my taste is bad because I only t one woman in my entire life, and bad as my taste may be, I couldn’t help it. There’s only one person who caught my eye in this lifeti. You’ve had so many exes, pick one and let see which one can prove your taste."
Nico Haynes: "... Boss, at least my exes were stars and supermodels, run-of-the-mill beauties... In your eyes, is Little Girl Morris so fresh and unique?!"
Oh damn, even though my exes were subpar, they weren’t that bad, right? Many were perfect goddess-like stars in the hearts of hobodies!
Dawn Sutherland smiled faintly at the side, "Just having Ariel up there, she can take out three or four of those won in a PK, she’s a sure-fit in the living room, a match against ruffians, and an ace in a catfight. She’s really fresh and unique."
Ariel Morris laughed, collapsing into Arlo Seys’ arms, giving Dawn Sutherland a playful glance, "Brother Dawn, are you praising or dissing ?"
"Praising you." Dawn Sutherland laughed.
Dawn Sutherland glanced at his watch, smiling lightly as he spoke to the three of them, "The company will be opening in a few days, and I still have a lot to do. I’ve planned dinner with President Chapman tonight, so I’ll be heading out first."
Arlo Seys stood up, "I have sothing to tell you, Dawn, let’s talk outside."
Dawn Sutherland nodded, "Okay."
The two of them exited the hospital room, standing quietly in the corridor outside.
"Arlo, what do you want to talk about?" Dawn Sutherland leaned against the corridor railing, asking with a slight smile.
Arlo Seys looked at Dawn Sutherland, taking a mont to think about how to start, then quietly said after organizing his thoughts, "I went back to the old house today, and during dinner, I heard sothing from my mom."
"What is it?" Dawn Sutherland asked.
Arlo Seys pressed his thin lips together, "The Grant Family’s Daisy Grant is about to marry Aidan Sutherland, the heir of the Sutherland Family."
As soon as Arlo Seys finished speaking, he noticed a slight tremor in his good friend Dawn Sutherland’s body, a slight constriction of his pupils, and a stiffening in his forrly gentle smile.
After a long while, Dawn Sutherland stood up straight against the railing, his body tense, pulled a cigarette from his pocket and lit it, took a sharp drag, and replied with a faint smile, "That’s great, the Sutherland-Grant alliance is highly anticipated, it’s really great, marrying Aidan should make Daisy happy as well."
Arlo Seys took a cigarette from Dawn Sutherland’s pack, gesturing for him to light it.
Dawn Sutherland obliged, lighting the cigarette for Arlo Seys, while he took puff after puff, exhaling wisps of smoke, his unfathomable, deep eyes inscrutable.
Arlo Seys stood beside Dawn Sutherland, listening to his words that belied his true feelings, accompanied him in smoking, and said lightly, "Dawn, since there’s no hope left, let it go."
